Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 - Confrontation

Inside a study room, a man sat in his desk. He had white hair and blue piercing eyes.

It was Arnolds. In his hand currently was a report of the events occurring in the Morningstar household.

Standing before him was a figure also with snow white hair but black eyes instead. It was Reinhardt.

"So how is his training coming along?" Arnolds asked.

"It's as well as I expected. His talent is through the roof. During the past two weeks, his mastery over the sword has increased explosively." Reinhardt replied.

"Infact, I would dare say his talent is higher than even Gilbert's." At the mention of Gilbert's name, Arnolds' expression trembled a little but became normal the next second.

"I see." Arnolds rested his chin on the back of his palms while his elbow supported him on the table.

"Brother." Reinhardt spoke. "Why did you abandon Lucas. He's talented. Even more so than Gilbert. Even if his potential is low, there are ways to make up for that."

Arnolds looked directly at his brother. And spoke. "Because in this world sadly, regardless of how high your talent is, no matter how versed in combat you are, no matter how cunning, absolute strength will always triumph over that."

Reinhardt clenched his fist in anger and spoke aloud "REALLY? YOU ABANDONED YOUR CHILD BECAUSE OF THAT BULLSHIT."

As he spoke in anger his aura burst out across the room shaking it. The walls cracked immediately under this force, the furniture started breaking.

And yet despite this insane aura spreading across the room, Arnolds remained unfazed.

He almost seemed annoyed. He then lightly tapped his foot and then.

Fwoosh

Silence

Reinhardt's aura disappeared like it was never there in the first place. Reinhardt's expression froze.

He couldn't believe his brother had gotten rid of his aura with a light tap of his foot.

And then Arnold spoke in a chilling tone. "Are you challenging me brother?" And then

DDOOOOMMMMMM

The room trembled, no the mansion itself trembled at the force this aura possessed.

"What's happening?"

"Are we under attack?"

"Aaaargh"

Everyone in the mansion were panicking. The knights scrambled about thinking it was an enemy attack.

The force of the aura pushed Reinhardt to his knees. The room cracked. The furniture shattered. Even Arnolds' desk had turned to rubble under this pressure.

"Answer me brother. Are you challenging me?" Arnold asked again in the same chilling tone.

The ground Reinhardt's knees were on cracked due to the force pushing Reinhardt down.

Reinhardt tried to answer but he struggled to form any words.

"I- I - ack"

Reinhardt clawed at his throat finding it difficult to breath and then.

Fwooosh

The pressure was lifted. Everyone in the mansion could breathe again.

COUGH COUGH COUGH

Everyone in the mansion regardless of who started coughing violently.

Arnolds' study was in pieces. Anyone who saw it would think a devastating battle had occurred here. Not knowing it was due to Arnold releasing his aura on the place.

"Continue to report his progress. Also call in one of the maids to clean this place up." Arnold said in a casual tone, as if nothing had happened.

As if he hadn't almost killed his brother and everyone else in the mansion.

Reinhardt, struggling to stand up gritted his teeth when he heard how casual Arnold was speaking.

He wanted to ignore him till Arnold spoke again. "Do I make myself clear?"

With grit teeth, and clenched fists Reinhardt answered "Yes sir."

"Good. Now leave." Arnold spoke again. Reinhardt bowed slightly before responding "Yes your grace."

And opened the door and left.

As soon as Reinhardt left, Arnolds spoke out. "So why exactly are you here?" He said, seemingly speaking to no one.

"As cold as ever I see." An eerie sounding voice spoke out, and then continued "Can't I pop by to visit an old friend?"

At the mention of old friend, Arnolds expression hardened, visibly turning angry before calming again.

"Old friend huh? So are you here to see me or him?" He asked. "Also if you're coming here as a guest, the least you can do is reveal yourself."

There was silence for a little bit and then a sigh resounded. "Fine."

And then the visitor materialized into a stunning woman. She took a seat on one of the only two seats left and then spoke.

"Is this better Arnold." She was visually stunning. A beautiful face, a sexy body, pink long hair and beautiful ocean blue eyes.

Arnolds responded. "Yes. Yes it is." The woman nodded satisfactorily.

"So why exactly are you here, Your Majesty."
