"Ten years!" Marquee Bryon shouted as spit flew from his mouth making Edens face betray a slight hint of disgust.
"Are you unsatisfied with the results of your son's trail?" Eden asked calmly only to be met with another shout much louder and more viscous.
"Of course I am!" Marquee Bryon's face was crimson and he breathed roughly as if the walk here alone had winded him.
"Your son was found guilty of murder" Eden said with a face of indifference as she took off her glasses putting them to the side.
"It was nothing but a filthy commoner who didn't know his place!" Marquee Bryon didn't let up only seeming to grow more angry each second that passed by.
"Are you saying commoners life's are worthless?" Eden narrowed her eyes and asked a dangerous question that made the marquee grit his teeth.
'Of course they are!' He wanted to shout the words aloud but even he wasn't foolish enough to openly declare such a sentiment.
"He's only a boy" Marquee Bryon calmed himself down and tried to appeal to Eden with the best smile he could muster.
"Can you really accept taking away his entire youth due to a mistake?" He asked but was only met with a face of indifference that left him infuriated.
"Yes" Eden answered simply raising one of her sharp eyebrows as if the question was ignorant.
"You!" Marquee Bryon clenched his hands wanting to teach the whore in front of him a lesson on respect.
"One day you'll get what's coming to you" He wasn't stupid and held back while saying cryptic words.
"Are you threatening your queen?" Eden's eyes narrowed but marquee Bryon only glared fiercely not backing down.
"Is there a problem here?" He only looked away when a recognizable voice made his back drip with sweat.
"Y~your majesty" The Marquee's anger evaporated instantly, replaced by a sudden wave of anxiety.
He turned his thick neck to see the king standing in the doorway with his expression unreadable. The man's dirty blonde hair gleamed under the light as he surveyed the scene.
'Shit!' Marquee Bryon wasn't so much afraid of the king himself but that demon wife of his who killed for fun.
"N~no of course no" He shook his head seeing the king's blank expression before he turned toward the queen.
"H~high judge" Marquee Bryon bowed his head shallowly and quickly made his way out of the room trying not to look toward the king.
"You didn't need to interfere" Eden's voice rang out in the silent room making Nolan smile slightly.
"Am I not allowed to be protective of my wife?" He glanced back to the retreating figure of the marquee before stepping into the office.
"Always the smooth talker" Eden leaned back in her chair as a sly smile filled at her plump lips.
"And mixed with those good looks it's no wonder you have four women head over heels for you" Nolan walked around the desk only stopping when he heard his wife's words.
"Four?" He asked with a questioning gaze as he leaned against the back of the desk to Eden's side.
"…." Eden didn't speak only giving him a knowing gaze that made Nolan let out a fake cough.
"How do you know about that?" He narrowed his eyes but only received a smile on return.
"My love" Eden spoke softly as she crossed her arms causing her large chest to bulge upward.
"You are very bad at keeping secrets" She leaned over and whispered just loud enough for Nolan to hear.
"…Is that so?" Nolan stated at her blankly but his gaze was truly locked onto her blouse that was stretched wide.
"Will you tell Rowan?" Eden asked with her curiosity piqued by the potential drama though jealousy was far from her mind.
"…Eventually" Nolan sighed while crossing his own arms and giving Eden a tender smile.
