"War?" Nolan's voice cracked as he exchanged a glance with Victoria who narrowed her eyes.
'The and the heavenly clan have never officially declared war on each other…' Throughout the years many battles had been fought between the two yet neither advanced past that.
"Yes as I said my lord is tired of the empire's greed" Linus nodded in response while smiling as if it wasn't a major announcement that could shake the continent whole.
"And my role in this?" Nolan relaxed his tensed muscles and asked with a wary voice toward the tanned skinned man.
"The Arden kingdom borders the empire much closer to their capital than our clan home" He spoke and Nolan felt understanding fill his head making me grit his teeth.
"You wish to use my kingdom as a the center of your way against the empire" He asked while seeing Eden and Daisy tense to his side.
"Our war, Yes" Linus corrected him nonchalantly before he continued to speak.
"You need not worry King Arden the Heavenly Clan does not intend to hide behind your soldiers.
"Your forces will remain untouched all we require is the land for our troops to station" Linus addressed the thoughts in Nolan's racing mind.
"And that's all?" Nolan calmed down receiving a nod of acknowledgment from the tanned delegate.
"I see" He thought about every possibility and came to the conclusion that the this was the best situation possible.
'It's much better than I was expecting' Nolan thought as he glanced toward his wives who seemed to have the same thoughts beside Victoria of course.
"Alright I accept" He looked back at Linus who smiled clearly pleased at his agreement.
"But there is one condition that is not negotiable to my lord" Linus's smile disappeared and Nolan fr frowned realizing that there was more.
"What is this condition?" He asked with a wary tone not knowing what the condition was.
"Being far away from his home my lord has requested…" Linus words trialed off and Nolan saw his eyes glance toward the three woman who stood to his sides.
"During his stay one of your wives will serve as my lord's personal attendant… to tend to his needs." He finished his sentence and all that was left was complete silence.
"What?!" Nolan's fury ignited instantly and his grip on the armrests so tight his knuckles turned white as rage radiated from every pore in his body.
"I don't find such jokes funny delegate Linus" He growled through gritted teeth while his heart hammered in his chest.
'…' Nolan had never felt so outraged and quickly looked toward his wives to his sides.
Daisy trembled as her hands shook uncontrollably with horror etched into her face. Eden stood still with a somber expression and her fists clenched tightly around the fabric of her dress, her plump lips pressed into a thin line. But it was Victoria who radiated fury, her glare murderous as her hand slid to the hilt of her blade.
"I do not like jokes King Arden" Linus said with an air of indifference with his calm demeanor only stoking Nolan's anger.
"It is my lord's request" His words made Nolan's body fill with anger to even have such a thing suggested to him in the first place.
"Your lord is delusional if he thinks I would agree" Nolan didn't hesitate to reject while staring at the man like he would kill him at any second.
"I'm just a messenger but as I've said this condition is not negotiable if you wish for the heavenly clans protection" Linus spoke as he glanced around the worn out room with a slight look of contempt.
"And judging from the state of your….modest kingdom our protection is what you need" He spoke firmly not bothering to soften his words.
