"Welcome to Arden" He calmed down after scrutinizing them and stood up from his throne with a small smile.
"I am~" Nolan tied to introduce himself while staring at the heavenly lord who hasn't even looked his way since he entered the room.
"We know who you are" Yet he was cut off by the crimson haired warrior who had a slight unhidden sneer on his face.
"Watch your tongue" Nolan didn't even have a chance to respond as Victoria's voice sounded out along with the unsheathing of a blade.
"Victoria" He quickly looked back at his second wife who paused at his words with her blade half in the open.
"…." Her eyes never leaving the man with crimson hair with a scowl painted across her face until she slowly sheathed her sword.
"…" Yet underneath a gaze that would leave all terrified the warrior smirked and Nolan crowned seeing the man's eyes trail down Victorias armor clad figure.
"It's an honor to meet those of the heavenly clan" Nolan pushed his discomfort down into his chest while putting on a smile toward the group of men.
"And even more so the heavenly lord" He looked toward the white haired man who finally met his gaze making his back sweat.
"Yes" The heavenly lord spoke simply as of agreeing with Nolan's words that it was his honor to meet them.
"Please forgive me lord he's mentally tired from our journey here" The old man stepped forward with a slight smile that made Nolan feel slightly more at ease.
"It's fine I understand" He shook his head not wanting to show how nervous he currently was.
"I am Albus" The old man named Albus bowed his head slightly and gestured toward the two guards who stood slightly to the sides.
"They are Talon and Dax" Albus gestured toward the green haired man followed by the crimson who was still staring at Victoria.
"Don't mind Dax he's just a trouble maker" The old man smiled and Nolan laughed slightly while nodding his head.
"There are no worries" Nolan responded calmly but before he could continue a bored and indifferent tone rang out.
"How have you lasted so long against the empire?" He looked forward seeing the heavenly king looking around the room once more with an unimpressed gaze.
"The living conditions here aren't good and the soldiers I've seen on our way through the city are…pathetic" The heavenly king spoke uninterested but his words seemed to cut deep into Nolan's chest.
'…..It's not like he's wrong' It hurt his pride since he was doing the best with the resources he had.
Daisy frowned at the words that bordered on disrespectful while Nolan thought Victoria might try to take out her sword once more, Eden narrowed her eyes as well but she was looking at the heavenly king with a complicated gaze as if scrutinizing him.
"I can't take credit for that" Nolan smiled as if he wasn't put off by the words and gestured to his right where his second wife stood.
"Without Victoria we would have fallen to the empire years ago" He didn't bother to hide the love in his tone that made Victoria's cheeks flush slightly.
"I see" The heavenly king hummed in acknowledgment while his obsidian colored eyes narrowed at Victoria.
"They call you a demon don't they?" He asked but Victoria didn't respond only meeting his gaze without backing down an inch.
"…amusing" The heavenly king thankfully didn't seem bothered calming Nolan's heart although he couldn't help but see a hint of interest in the man's eyes.
