Aki's POV
"I was about to sing to you, 'Oh! Won't you stay with me,' but I know I'm not the only one," they all looked at me. "You're acting crazy again, Aki," Ken said, shaking his head. "You're such a killjoy," I complained. "Aki's starting to like handsome guys," Henry teased.
"Me? Gay? Are you looking for handsome guys? Bitch, please, that's not my style." With a face like mine? Are you looking for handsome guys? Yeah, right.
"Plagiarism is a crime, Aki. Seems like you've picked up Tinnie's habit of copying answers," Drin threw a pillow at me, but I dodged it. "Tell us, Aki, where did you witness Tinnie's beauty—I mean, brutality?" Francel asked. Drin smirked, already knowing where and how I met Tinnie. And take note, she even humiliated me in front of someone.
I swallowed hard. "It happened like this," I began.
In a flashback, I was walking into the library with Drin. "Dude, watch out, or you might bump into this dragon-looking girl who looks like a cat but is dangerous. You might get bullied or kicked," Drin warned with a grin.
I walked over to the bookshelves, looking for what I needed. A rumor is that a dragon-personified cat is lurking in this library. Bullied? Kicked? Yeah, no. That's not happening to me.
"Ouch," I muttered, looking down at the girl. I got too lost in thought, remembering what Drin had said. "Sorry." I gave her my million-dollar smile, but she stared back with an expressionless face: those pinkish, sultry lips, piercing eyes, and undeniable sex appeal.
"Sorry? C'mon, you can't say sorry. You didn't step on me; you bumped into me too." Her voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Aki, stop. You're getting distracted by her looks.
"Babe, show some respect," she said with a smile. "I don't care who you are. Respect? You're not even showing any. Don't you dare talk back to me, and don't call me 'babe.' You're so thick-skinned." By now, people in the library were staring at us. Her voice was loud enough to turn heads.
"I already said sorry." She was testing my patience. "Well, I should accept your apology. But next time, fix the way you speak. Don't act superior because not everything will go your way." What happened next? I didn't see anything coming.
She kicked my dragon. That Aphrodite-personified woman just kicked me somewhere where the sun doesn't shine. She kicked me there! "Shit! Shit! Shit!" "Oh? What happened?" Drin asked. "That woman kicked my dragon," I growled through gritted teeth. "She's the one who never even notices you," Drin teased. Is she the girl who always ignores me? What has caused her to change her behavior now? "Her name is Cristina Rielle Cordova," Drin answered my questioning look.
That woman's in big trouble if I can't continue my lineage.
End of Flashback
They all burst into laughter, Drin included. "Is your dragon still alive, Aki?" Raphael teased. "That is clear," I retorted, irritation in my voice.
'So baby, pull me closer, in the backseat of your rover...'
Tinnie stopped singing when she saw us. "Oh? You're not complete? Where's Gelo?" she asked, looking confused before sitting beside me.
Why is she searching for that damn guy? When I am here. The green monster inside of me is livid.
"Ehem. Tinnie, you're looking for Angelo, but Aki's here," Henry teased. "Careful, long-chinned horse or I'll shut you up," Tinnie warned.
"Ouch. Angelo's always the one you're looking for? "I'm here and looking way more handsome than Angelo," I said, pretending to feel hurt. "Because I'm looking for Angelo doesn't mean I like him. Can't I look for him because I'm not used to you guys not being complete? Even if I'm looking for him, you're still the one I like." She winked at me.
My heart skipped a beat. "I'm blushing." "That's so cheesy." "Gross." "So corny." "I'm dying from secondhand embarrassment."
Everyone chimed in. "Admit it, Aki, you're blushing," Tinnie teased. "I'm hungry, Tinnie," I laughed with the group.
"Yeah. I want ice cream, pizza, cake, a burger, and fries. Or a bucket of chicken from Jollibee. Please?" Tinnie pleaded. "Hungry, Tinnie?" Francel asked. "Nope, always hungry," Tinnie replied with sarcasm. "There's cake and ice cream over there," Drin pointed out. "We'll order," I offered. "Yay, thanks, Aki," she said, slapping my arm. "No problem. "Order whatever you want. If you gain weight and no guy approaches you, I'll prove you're mine."
"You make my stepsister sound like a whale," Drin laughed. "Fat or skinny, Drin, she's still a woman we should treat like a princess and love like a queen," I said with a smile.
Even though I've earned Tinnie's trust and attention, I still can't claim she is mine.
