Aki's POV
I was holding her hand tightly as we entered her room. I was helping her pack her clothes. We're going to Bantayan Island in Cebu. Kuya Ryler needs our help with his proposal to Ate Cyan.
Our hands fit perfectly. They say that when everything fits, it means they're your soulmate. They're your other half.
It might sound silly, but based on my research, humans were born with two heads and four arms. Zeus got scared and struck them with his lightning bolt, splitting them apart.
"Let go, I can handle this," Tinnie said as she tried to pull her hand away from mine.
"Alright, but if you need help, I'll just be in the living room," I replied. She nodded, and I sat on the long sofa in their living room.
So, she and Drin live in the same house.
"Where are you taking my stepsister?" I stood up and turned to see Drin glaring at me.
"Bantayan Island in Cebu," I answered.
"Who gave you the right to take her to Cebu?" he asked, raising his voice.
"I did." It was apparent he was jealous.
"You already have her. That doesn't mean you can take her away."
"Take her away? We're not running away. For Christ's sake, Drin, Tinnie is 18 years old; she's of legal age." I ran my hand over my face in frustration.
"You won't have her."
"You sound jealous, Drin. Before you get jealous, please check the label." I smirked. "Because when I checked your label, you're just her stepbrother." A corner of his lips lifted in defiance.
"Mine is better than yours. You don't even have a label."
"We don't need a freaking label, Drin. She is mine as long as Tinnie's presence, attention, and everything is with me. Remember, I was her first." Drin was about to respond when Tinnie suddenly exited her room with her suitcase.
"Drin? Aki? Are you fighting?" she asked innocently.
"You're not going anywhere, Tinnie. You're staying here," Drin said, grabbing Tinnie's arm.
My jaw clenched. No one is going to touch what's mine. I grabbed Tinnie's other arm.
"Let her go, Aki," Drin said, glaring darkly at me.
"I won't."
"Let. Her. Go."
Tinnie looked at the two of us in confusion.
"You're hurting me," Tinnie complained, but neither Drin nor I let go.
"You heard her, Aki. She said she's hurting," Drin said. I let go of Tinnie's arm and immediately punched Drin.
I landed a hit on his stomach and gave him a black eye. Before I could hit him again, I felt Tinnie's arms wrap around me.
"I told you, Drin, I don't like anyone touching what's mine. Do you understand?" I was about to punch him again, but Tinnie stopped me.
"That's enough, Aki," she hugged me tighter. I took a deep breath and calmed myself. Frustrated, I grabbed Tinnie's suitcase and dragged her to the parking lot.
"Are you okay?" she asked me gently.
"Yeah."
"Are you sure?" I bit my tongue to stop myself from cursing in front of her. I turned to Tinnie and cupped her face.
"I won't let anyone lay a finger on you. If someone touches even a single hair on your head, I swear they'll need to borrow a dog's face." I noticed she was trembling in fear.
I just hugged her. I overdid it.
