3rd POV
One year had passed since the intense battle between Yuji and Rob Lucci. The forest that had once borne the scars of their conflict had begun to heal, but it now served as their training ground, a place where they pushed themselves to new limits. Yuji had spent the past year honing his Lunarian traits and learning to master Haki, while Lucci focused on refining his fighting style and Devil Fruit powers.
Rob Lucci's POV
Lucci stood at the edge of the forest, his eyes scanning the horizon. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. A man dressed in a dark suit, emblematic of Cipher Pol, emerged from the shadows.
"Agent Lucci," the man greeted, his voice professional yet tinged with curiosity. "It's been a while."
Lucci nodded, his demeanor cold and detached. "Agent Zaraff, to what do I owe the pleasure?"
Zaraff adjusted her glasses, her sharp eyes assessing him. "I've been sent to check on your progress. The higher-ups are eager to know how your training has been going."
Lucci's gaze turned steely. "My training has been productive. I've honed my Rokushiki techniques and improved my control over the Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Leopard."
Zaraff raised an eyebrow. "And your combat skills?"
"Sharper than ever," Lucci replied. "I've had plenty of opportunities to test my abilities against formidable opponents."
Zaraff's expression remained unreadable. "And this island? Any significant discoveries or encounters?"
Lucci's eyes flickered for a brief moment before he replied. "Nothing worth reporting."
Zaraff's nodded, seemingly satisfied. "The organization is pleased with your progress. There's talk of a promotion if you continue on this trajectory."
Lucci's interest piqued. "A promotion?"
Kalifa nodded. "Yes. CP9 is always looking for the best and the brightest. Your skills would be a valuable asset."
Lucci's mind raced. A promotion to a candidate to CP9 was a significant step up, one that would place him at the pinnacle of Cipher Pol's hierarchy. It was an opportunity he couldn't afford to miss.
"When do I leave?" Lucci asked, his tone decisive.
"Immediately," Zaraff replied. "Your mission here is complete. A ship is waiting at the coast to take you back."
Lucci nodded, his decision made. "I'll gather my things."
As he turned to leave, Zaraff's voice stopped him. "One more thing, Lucci. Have you had any... distractions during your time here?"
Lucci's eyes narrowed. "No. My focus has been solely on my training."
Zaraff's seemed satisfied with his answer. "Good. We need you at your best."
Lucci walked away, his mind already shifting to the future. He would leave this island behind and pursue his destiny with Cipher Pol. But there was one loose end to tie up.
3rd POV
Yuji sat by the campfire, the flames casting flickering shadows on his face. He had spent the day training, pushing his Haki and Lunarian abilities to new limits. Despite Lucci's constant refusals, he remained hopeful that his companion would eventually join him.
He glanced around, expecting to see Lucci emerging from the forest any moment now. But as the minutes ticked by, an uneasy feeling settled in his stomach.
"Lucci?" Yuji called out, standing up and scanning the area. There was no response.
Worry gnawed at him as he searched the forest, calling out for Lucci. But his calls were met with silence. Finally, he reached the edge of the forest and spotted the coast. There, a small boat was sailing away, growing smaller with each passing second.
Yuji's face turn into sour when thinkingabout Lucci not joininghis future crew. He knew, without a doubt, that Lucci was on that boat, leaving the island and their shared experiences behind.
Lucci's POV
Lucci stood at the bow of the ship, his eyes fixed on the horizon. The island grew smaller in the distance, a chapter of his life closing behind him. He felt a pang of regret, not for the island, but for the bond he had reluctantly formed with Yuji.
'I hate this thoughts, I am the soon to be the strongest shield for the world goverment, I shouldn't have this emotion, I need to erase this kind of emotion or before this ruin me'
He pushed the thought aside. He had made his choice, and there was no turning back.
As the ship sailed towards its destination, Lucci couldn't help but reflect on the past year. Training with Yuji had pushed him to new heights, testing his limits and forcing him to adapt in ways he hadn't anticipated. Despite their differences, he had come to respect Yuji's determination and strength.
But Cipher Pol was his path, and nothing would deter him from it.
3rd POV
Back on the island, Yuji watched the boat disappear into the distance. A mixture of sadness and determination filled his heart. Lucci had left without a word, but Yuji understood. Their paths were different, and Lucci had chosen his.
Yuji clenched his fists, his resolve hardening. He wouldn't let this setback deter him. He had come too far and worked too hard to give up now.
"I'll find my own way," Yuji muttered, his voice filled with determination. "I'll become stronger"
As the sun set, casting a golden hue over the forest, Yuji stood tall, his eyes filled with a fierce resolve. He would continue to train, pushing himself to new limits. And when the time came, he would set sail and carve his own path across the seas.
The island had been a crucible, forging him into a stronger warrior. And though Lucci had chosen a different path, their time together had left an indelible mark on him.
