Chapter 29 - Love confession 1

Ignoring Jane, Liam turned to Ivy, "Why shouldn't I? It's what he is! Have some memory lost?" his eyes wide open in bewilderment. Why was she taking his side?

"No his is not. You are the one who misinterpreted the whole thing without letting me explain to you anything. Like you always did," she mumbled the last part, no one heard apart from her.

"Which miss interpretation? He was clearly a pervert following you around like the stalker he was," Liam argued. He knew what happened, he was present. First class to see him following her every movement. What else could explain such a behaviour from him?

"I wasn't stalking her, I was hitting on her and was following her around in hope of gaining her attention," Jane defended himself.

He was able to built enough of courage to confess to her. A rejection he took, yet he didn't give up. Persisted in his pursuit which earned him be labeled as a stalker by her friends. He wasn't stalking her, most time they made out of school, was merely by coincidence but they heard none of that.

"You were hitting on her in high school?" he pointed at Ivy flabbergasted by the piece of information. Having the image of the high school version of him in mind, he couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"She was way above your league," he said in between his laughter. He couldn't believe his ears. Jane was hitting on Ivy with the intention of winning over her. Seriously? He really thought he had a change? He was beyond shocked.

"Hitting on her didn't requested for you to follow her around like a creep appearing every single place we go," Andy said.

"And it wasn't also necessary for you to bit me up to death because of your suspicion with no concrete evidence," his voice was lethal "I still got the mark of that confrontation," it was all thanks to Liam's hard work.

" I still have the scar…." He pulled up his blond hair covering the side of his forehead. A huge scar, in the shape of vertical straight line was present.

"If only that, there is worst," he said loosing up his dark blue tie and was unbuttoning his shirt when Ivy stopped him.

"I think we got your point through," she side looking everywhere but him. The sight of his chest made her all red. Her innocence when it comes to men had the best of her.

Seeing that, Liam frowned. His sent a dead glare to Jane who was buttoning his shirt back. His hate for guy keep on increasing.

"Don't make our eyes bleed with that eyesore," he said.

Eyesore? No one could label Jane as an eyesore. From the quick glimpse, one could say he had a toned chest. His figure shows he workout, took great care himself. Nothing on him came unappealing.

Jane smiled, "What? Jealous Liam?" He dressed up.

Liam left out a cold laugh, "Andy words appears not clear enough for you. We may have school together but it doesn't give you the permission to address us as such," his voice was calm but laid behind it hidden anger, which was a delight to Jane.

"What Liam? For me Andy, Ivy, you and I are close enough for you to call you that, Liam," he smirked, enjoying it to it fullness.

"This is your last warning, stop it and get out of my sight,"

"If I don't? You will beat me up again Liam? I'm no more the weak teenage boy you almost kill for no reason. You beast," he went through a month of hospitalization, all thanks to him. Of course, he had no repercussions. Who would dare to say anything to the Black heir.

It always infuriated him how easy he went away with things. Acting all violent but never corrected. Never getting consequences of his actions. How he dreamed for a revenge but he wasn't stupid, he stood no chance.

"Me, beating you? We are grown man now, no more teenagers," he stood up from his seat and walked to him. Stopped right before him, leaving a little distance between them.

"I'm now the CEO of the Black Enterprise," he rest his hand on his right shoulder. Jane followed his actions with his eyes before looking back at him. Wondering what he was thinking but made no attempt to push him away nor distance himself.

"And you… you said Parker right? Like the tech industry correct? If I'm not wrong, Black Enterprise are shareholders,"

Jane tensed, knowing where his was going, "Are you threatening me Liam?" he asked. His chin high, his stance strong, matching his aura.

He won't back off. He worked on himself all through these past years after high school, he wasn't anymore the coward he used to be. He couldn't lost to him. Not in front Ivy at that.

He sent a glance at Ivy and his resolve got stronger seeing her worry eyes on him. She was worry for him, it made him happy but he hated it at the same time. It meant she was regarding him as no match for Liam. He wasn't that weak boy anymore. He nodded and smile looking at her in the eyes to assure her.

The quick action enraged Liam even more. He added pressure on his grip, crushing the poor man bone. A cynic smile formed on his face. He cracked his neck, increasing the pressure further.

The pain on his shoulder was agonizing, he felt it in his bones but he tried his best not to let it show. He wasn't going to back off even if that meant to have his bone crushed. It was question of honor now.

"Of course not. It's a kind reminder how pitiful it will be if your father hard work was being destroy because his son couldn't control his mouth and not bow when he needs to," Liam said why trying to force Jane down on his knees. He had to put him to his place, which was beneath him.

Jane gulped. Liam could destroy them with a flip of a finger. In terms of power, he was no way near Liam, near neither of them. How foolish of him to have thought he could stand up against him.

His strength was leaving him as he tried his hardest not to be forced down on his knees. It would be a total humiliation both for him and his family. By now he could feel all the gaze in their direction, he couldn't accept such a humiliation but what? Should he let all his father hard work to be vain because of his pride. He decided it didn't worth it. Before he could let Liam force him to submission, Ivy came to his rescue.

"What do you think you're doing Liam!?" she pushed Liam off Jane, and stood in between the two.

Jane felt lighter, a huge weight left his shoulder. He brought his left hand to his shoulder, trying to relieve the pain.

"He came here to greet us and you threat him for no reason," she scolded.

'so if there were a reason it was valid?' Jane wondered for a second before brushing it off. Sometimes he forgets she wasn't a saint, despite what her looks said.

She frowned eyeing the man she love in front of her. She loved him with all her heart but sometimes she had the urge to beat him up. He was so infuriating at times to point to make her wonder why she even love him. Too impulsive, here she thought he changed, and matured.

He was aggressive for no reason. It was his side she hated. He always act the same way when a guy approaches her. She sometimes thought he was jealous but no, he wasn't. It was his overprotectiveness speaking.

"Ivy, I…" his voice softened and his face turned into a worry one seeing how pissed off she was. He hated it when she was angry at him.

"Don't call me. You're such a brute at times. Infuriating." she turned and took Jane arms in hers, " let's go away from those brutes," she said, walking arm in arm with Jane. Not sparing a glance at her friends.

Liam eyes didn't once shift from their intertwined arms. A deep frown on his face, not liking what he was seeing.

Andy, watching impassive their interactions stood up. He wasn't agreeing completely with Liam, he may have gone over board with his threatening but he was sure, Jane was provoking him on purpose, and with the way he saw things, it was aimed to shake Ivy looks on Liam. And it worked, she was for sure disappointed.

Standing beside Liam, patted his back in understanding. He stared at the duo with equal displeasure. He wasn't liking the guy at all.
