After everyone left, I went to find Kieran. I know that he was working, but his presence was badly needed now. I had to get rid of the thoughts of Nicholas and Elara who were trying their best to be seen.
I found Kieran at the palace entrance. He stood with a straight back, and his chin was raised. Even when I know the real Kieran, looking at him now anyone would have been intimidated by him.
I took my time to study him and how handsome he truly was. His blonde hair framed his face and his hazel eyes were more intense.
The way he wore his uniform with confidence would make any girl worship him. I smiled as I watched him, sizing everyone up who was leaving.
This gathering came as a surprise for me. But I used it to the best of my ability. Getting the members of the court to see how much I deserved the crown.
Isabella might not have done anything in the past to justify herself, but I am here now and I was going to make the most of it.
