Chapter 7 - Tooth cleaning capsules

Rosalee had a nightmare. In her dream, she was suddenly transported to a more advanced and dangerous world than her peaceful one.

To make matters worse, she watched her retirement home, which she had purchased after years of hard work, slowly disintegrate into darkness.

The tiny glowing particles, like fireflies, illuminated the darkness around her, creating a breathtaking scene that appeared to exist only in fairy tales.

"Fuck! My house!!"

Rosalee let out an earth-shattering roar, desperately attempting to catch the flying bricks and pieces of her house, but her hands only caught a handful of sparkling particles.

She screamed, yelled, and cried with snot and tears, but she could not stop her home from disappearing.

"Fuckin-"

She passed out from anger and disbelief.

Felix heard a loud thud in his room early in the morning while he was concentrating hard on his studies. He frowned and paused briefly before going outside.

"Little fool, are you awake?" he called as he knocked on his little sister's door. After a few minutes of waiting, he said, "If you do not open the door right now, I am coming in."

Just as he finished his sentence, he noticed the door open with a thin silt, and an eye peered through it. "What's up?"

Felix frowned at her sneaky appearance and asked, "Did you just wake up?"

With a hum of acknowledgment, Rosalee blurted hoarsely, "I will close the door if there is nothing else."

Felix knew she was hiding something, but he was not interested in finding out what it was. He asked her to come out for breakfast at 7 a.m. before leaving.

Rosalee closed the door and let out a sigh of relief. She touched the small bump on her forehead, gasping in pain, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

If her pretty brother knew she had fallen out of bed due to a nightmare, she would not be able to face him without feeling ashamed!

She dashed to the bathroom to solve her needs. She spent a lot of time looking, but she could not find even a brush!

She immediately used the wristband to call her brother because she could not find a toothbrush or toothpaste to clean her teeth.

"Beep—hello?"

"Brother, do you have a spare toothbrush and toothpaste? I cannot find mine anywhere." Rosalee spoke absentmindedly while looking around the bathroom.

Felix was confused. "What's a toothbrush?"

Rosalee instinctively replied, "the one which we use for cleaning our teeth." Are interstellar people too advanced to even brush their teeth? How come they have no idea what a toothbrush is.

"Are you talking about the tooth cleaning capsule?" Felix inquired with a headache. He should have remembered that his little sister had lost her common sense.

"I have some reserves here, come and get them." He spoke to her as he entered his bathroom to retrieve a small box of tooth cleaning capsules from the shelf.

By the time he walked out, Rosalee was already standing in his room, curiously looking around as if she had entered an unknown territory.

"This is the last box, so use it carefully," Felix said, quickly handing her the little box before pushing her out. "Don't come to me if you have finished it!"

Rosalee opened her mouth to ask him how to use this thing, but the door slammed in her face before she could speak. "Tsk, how rude." She grumbled as she returned to her room.

Rosalee searched "How to use tooth cleaning capsules?" on the Star Network.

It took her some time to find the right tooth cleaning capsule video among the many irrelevant videos and articles about the topic.

She followed the steps in the video and went to the bathroom, standing in front of the sink.

Then she took two capsules out of the box and chewed them slowly while moving them around in her mouth. After a minute or two, she spit out the foam that had formed and rinsed her mouth with a glass of water.

She opened her mouth wide and looked in the mirror to see what happened. Her teeth had become much whiter, and her breath no longer stinks as it did before.

Rosalee was amazed at how effective this method was. It was similar to the mouthwash she had used in her previous life.

Feeling her head itch, she looked at her long hair and felt that it was unnecessarily long, especially since her body was not receiving enough nutrients to support such long hair.

So she did not hesitate to cut it off with a scissor, making it as short as a boy. In order to conceal the red bump on her forehead, she clipped a handful of her hair in front of her forehead and cut it short.

It was not neat, but it was not too bad either.

She took a warm bath and changed into a new dress, transforming from a little girl to a frail little boy. Rosalee was a little embarrassed by the way she looked like a sissy boy.

When Felix saw her new appearance, he stared at her for a long time, making her stress.

"Do you think I look good?" She gave a small twirl and smiled as she asked, trying to disgust him further.

Felix said in a stiff voice, his lips quivering, "looks good." He wished that he could go back in time to the seconds before his sister's head hit the ground, saving his future self.

Rosalee was in a good mood. She walked into the dining room and noticed that the table was clean, without a single dish.

Thinking that her brother would bring food from the kitchen, she was about to take a seat when Felix stopped her.

"What are you doing?" Felix asked, puzzled by her strange movements. Rosalee scratched her head and questioned him back, "aren't we going to have breakfast?"

She looked at the empty dining table and suddenly realized, "Are we going out?" She was a little curious about what the interstellar people ate.

Felix found her question both perplexing and amusing. Why would they need to go out to eat?

"We are not going anywhere," he said, passing her the packet he had been carrying from the start. "Stop saying strange things, and take this."

Rosalee stepped forward and took the packet from him, looking at the small- green liquid filled glass tube with interest. She could not figure out why her brother had given her this strange item that looked like test tubes.

"There are fourteen nutrient solutions here, which is sufficient for this week. If you finish it, you can come back and ask me for more."

Rosalee was completely amused by his words. What would she do with these items? Testing the chemicals it contains?

"What's this?" Her boyish face was filled with confusion and a hint of interest as she asked. She held a tube against the light, watching the tiny white particles dance in the green liquid.

"Nutrient solutions, your breakfast and dinner in other words." Unsurprised by her lack of common sense, Felix declared calmly.

Rosalee blinked, not sure if she heard him correctly.

Did he just say that this chemical-like substance was her breakfast? As in, her food.

"Brother, have we been drinking this nasty looking thing for the past few years?" She asked Felix, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Felix frowned slightly when she said those words. How can she refer to her food as ugly?
