21: Go back to your inferior friends
"Ah, if it isn't the Silver Storm: Harrison Silver and Aria Silver!" Orion Eldrid exclaimed.
His piercing blue locks cascaded down his back, a distinguishing mark of the Eldrid family.
As patriarch, Orion's influence was renowned. And apart from being a patriarch he was one of the marquis of Everia.
Harrison's expression turned respectful.
Aria's eyes warmed with familiarity.
"Orion, good to see you," Harrison replied.
"Likewise, Harrison. Aria, you shine brighter than ever," Orion said, his voice filled with warmth.
The two adults shared a moment of understanding.
Beside Orion stood a young boy, no more than six years old.
His bright blue hair mirrored Orion's, styled in a miniature version.
The boy's eyes, a vivid echo of his father's, shone with curiosity.
"Cassius, my son," Orion said, his voice filled with pride.
Harrison nodded in acknowledgement.
Aria smiled warmly.
Orion's gaze shifted to his son. "Cassius, introduce yourself to Harrison and Aria."
Cassius stepped forward, his small hand releasing Orion's finger.
"Hello, Lord Harrison and Lady Aria," Cassius said, his voice clear.
Orion's eyes beamed with pride.
Harrison smiled. "Well met, young Cassius."
Aria's expression warmed. "A pleasure, Cassius."
Cassius's eyes sparkled, absorbing the attention.
Orion's voice guided him. "Now, son, show respect."
Cassius bowed his head slightly.
"Hey no need for that", Harrison said stopping him from continuing further.
Orion's gaze returned to Harrison and Aria.
Orion, the Marquis of Eldrid, smiled warmly. "And your kids, how are they faring?"
Aria's smile was gentle. "They're doing well, thank you for asking, Marquis. Right now, they're probably playing elsewhere in the palace."
Harrison nodded in agreement.
The Marquis's eyes lingered on Harrison and Aria, interest in his voice. "I look forward to meeting them soon."
The conversation flowed on.
Elsewhere Luna and Leonis sat,As they sat on a nearby bench, Luna gazed around the manor's gardens, her attention waning.
Leonis noticed her distraction. "Tired of exploring?"
Luna nodded.
Just then, Luna spotted a group of children laughing and playing nearby.
Her eyes sparkled. "Leo, look! Can I join them?"
Leonis glanced up, his expression cautious. "Be careful, Luna."
Luna nodded and dashed toward the group, her laughter echoing.
Leonis watched from the bench, a protective gaze following his sister.
Luna approached the trio, her smile radiant. "Hi, I'm Luna! Can I join you?"
The blond boy and green-haired child turned welcoming faces as they were fascinated by her cute figure .
"Yeah of course, My name's Edgar by the way" The blonde boy said with excitement.
"And I'm Malcolm" the green hair boy followed .
However, a curly brown-haired girl stood in front of them and scrutinized Luna.
"I'm Viviana," she said, her voice laced with disdain. "And no, you can't join us. We're playing with friends, not strangers."
Viviana's gaze swept Luna's dress, her expression dismissive. "Besides, your gown looks outdated. Are you even nobility?"
Luna's smile faltered, her eyes widening at Viviana's rudeness.
The blond boy and raven-haired child exchanged uneasy glances, sensing tension.
Viviana's voice dripped with condescension.
"Do you even know who I am? I'm Viviana Everhart, heir to the esteemed House of Everhart. And you...you're probably just a lowly noble, barely worthy of our notice."
She snickered. "Your family's title is probably as dusty as your clothes."
Viviana's gaze turned icy. "You're not fit to play with us, let alone share our social circle. Go back to your...inferior friends."
Luna's face burned, tears welling up in her eyes.
Just as Viviana was about to push Luna away, a firm hand grasped Viviana's wrist, halting her motion.
Luna's tears faltered as she saw her brother, Leonis, standing beside her.
His gaze turned icy, piercing Viviana. "I'll advise you to refrain from laying hands on my sister."
