Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: So, This Is How It Ends?

Jack never expected to go out like this. One minute, he was crossing the street, minding his own business, and the next—a screech of tires, a flash of headlights, and boom. Everything went black.

He'd always imagined death would be more dramatic—maybe some grand speech, a heroic sacrifice, something cooler than getting hit by a random car on a Tuesday. But here he was. Dead.

At least, that's what he assumed.

The darkness around him stretched on forever, and there was this weird sense of floating, like he wasn't really in his body anymore. Then, out of nowhere, a voice broke the silence.

"Well, that was a bit anticlimactic, wasn't it?"

Jack looked around—or tried to. He didn't have a body to move. "Who said that?"

"Oh, right. You can't see me yet." The voice sounded casual, almost like someone chatting over coffee. "Hold on."

The void rippled, and suddenly, a figure appeared—an ordinary-looking guy, wearing jeans and a hoodie. He grinned at Jack, hands stuffed in his pockets. "I'm ROB. Random Omnipotent Being, at your service."

"Uh, what?" Jack blinked—well, he thought he did, but who knew in this weird, bodiless state. "Random Omnipotent Being?"

"Yeah, not the flashiest title, I know, but it gets the point across. Basically, I run things in the background. And today, I'm here for you."

Jack frowned. "So, I really did die, huh?"

"Yep. Car got you good," ROB said, sounding almost sorry for him. "But here's the thing—I'm giving you a chance to start over. New life, new world, the whole deal. And because I'm feeling generous, you get three wishes."

Jack's head—or whatever he had now—spun. Was this some kind of cosmic joke? Three wishes? Really?

"Wait. So, I died, and now I get to make wishes? Like, anything I want?"

"Within reason," ROB said, giving a half-shrug. "But yeah, pretty much. Think of it as your consolation prize for a crappy death."

Jack thought about it. This was insane, but he had nothing to lose. If this was real—and he had a feeling it was—then he had to make these wishes count.

"Alright," Jack said slowly, feeling a rush of excitement. "First wish: I want to be reincarnated as a cosmic entity. Like, super powerful. But I want my powers to come from both the Seven Virtues and the Seven Sins. You know, the whole balance thing."

ROB raised his eyebrows. "Cosmic entity, huh? Mixing good and evil? Not bad. Granted. What's next?"

Jack didn't hesitate. "Second wish: I want my own personal dimension, where I can control everything. It'll be like my own world, where I can do whatever I want."

ROB grinned. "Nice. A home base, fully customizable. Granted. And your final wish?"

Jack took a deep breath. "I want an achievement system. You know, like in video games. It gives me rewards for completing stuff, but it's also sentient."

ROB let out a low whistle. "Dude, you've really thought this through. Alright, done. You've got your powers, your dimension, and your fancy achievement system. But just so you know, this world you're going to? It's no cakewalk. You'll have to work for it."

Jack felt a rush of energy as the void around him started to break apart. "Yeah, I figured as much. But I'm ready."

ROB winked. "Good luck, Jack. This is gonna be fun."

And just like that, Jack's old life disappeared, and a whole new one began.

How's this for a more casual tone? It keeps things laid-back while still setting up the plot.
