The expelled member of the Inuzuka clan was swiftly taken away by the ANBU.
Morino Ibiki noticed the injured Uchiha Haruto and asked, "Hey, little masked guy, are you alright? Do you need to be taken to the hospital?"
"Hospital? No way!" Haruto frantically shook his head in refusal.
Memories of past incidents flooded his mind. If he actually went to the hospital, he'd no doubt be surrounded by a bunch of fangirl nurses again. They'd tie him to the bed for "treatment," which was really just for their amusement.
He couldn't afford to waste his "life essence" like before. Haruto preferred to save that for more meaningful occasions, not for frivolous hospital visits. For anyone else, once a year was more than enough.
Seeing Haruto's gaunt appearance, Morino Ibiki mistook him for someone struggling financially and said, "You got hurt during our pursuit of that criminal. Don't worry, the village will cover your medical expenses. You won't need to pay anything."
Haruto couldn't help but laugh inside. Did he really look like someone short on cash? If it weren't for what happened the previous night—after nearly twenty intense rounds—he wouldn't have looked so worn out.
Politely declining the offer, Haruto said, "It's just a scratch, no need to trouble anyone. I just want to get some rest."
With that, he turned and began walking home, covering his injury.
"Wait! You can't just leave! You'll die!"
Suddenly, a girl grabbed his arm and warned him urgently, "That guy's claws were laced with a slow-acting poison made by our clan. You might feel fine now, but if you don't get treated soon, you won't make it through the night!"
"What?!" Haruto broke out in a cold sweat. "I can't die yet! I still have a duty to restore the Uchiha clan!"
The girl reassured him, "Don't worry, our clan will take responsibility for your treatment. Come with me, my mother can heal you."
"Oh, by the way, my name is Inuzuka Hana. I also want to thank you—if you hadn't accidentally blocked the criminal's path, we might not have caught him so quickly."
Inuzuka Hana? That's her!
Haruto, who had watched "Naruto," recognized her. Hana was the eldest daughter of Tsume Inuzuka, the leader of the Inuzuka clan, and Kiba's older sister. A future beauty, both in figure and appearance!
However, she was only thirteen now, the same age as Itachi Uchiha. It would be years before she matured into the stunning woman he knew from the series.
But even at this age, she was showing signs of becoming a great beauty. If she hadn't introduced herself, Haruto might not have recognized her.
"Alright, I'll go with you. Thanks, Hana."
…
In no time, Hana led Haruto to the Inuzuka clan's home.
As soon as they arrived, three identical brown puppies rushed at Hana, barking excitedly. These were her partners, the Haimaru Brothers.
Kiba emerged from the house, holding a young Akamaru. "Sis, you're back! Who's that guy in the mask behind you?"
"He got scratched by the pervert's poisoned claws. I brought him here for treatment. Is Mom home?"
"She's out on patrol with Kuromaru. She won't be back for an hour."
"Ah, what now?" Hana's eyes filled with worry. "Only my mom can detoxify the poison quickly. But don't worry, big brother. I'll stop the bleeding and clean the wound for now. I may just be starting out as a vet, but I should be able to manage."
"Alright, I trust you."
Haruto agreed readily. Having a pretty girl like Hana personally take care of him was an unexpected blessing!
Once inside, and at Hana's request, Haruto took off his shirt, revealing his lean but muscular upper body. Although slender, his body was well-toned, especially his abs, which were prominently defined.
Unlike others who gained abs through rigorous training, Haruto had developed his from... well, other activities. He smirked to himself, knowing exactly what that meant.
"Wow... Big brother, your body is..." Hana murmured, her cheeks flushing slightly. Although young, she was precocious enough to appreciate what she was seeing. It was the first time she'd seen such a perfectly sculpted male physique.
Forcing herself to focus, she began cleaning Haruto's wounds with a soft cotton cloth.
"Ouch! That hurts!" Haruto winced.
Hana looked up, apologetic. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. My medical skills aren't great yet, so please bear with me."
"It's not your fault. For some reason, even when you're not touching it, the wound aches. It feels like needles stabbing into my skin..." Haruto explained through clenched teeth.
Hana gasped, her eyes widening. "Oh no... It's the poison! The toxin is spreading faster than I thought. If we don't act soon, you could die in ten minutes!"
Haruto's face drained of color. "What? Ten minutes?!" he stammered, panic rising in his chest.
Flustered, Hana rummaged through the medicine kit, but her inexperience showed. She fumbled with the bottles, clearly unsure of what to do.
Tears welled up in her eyes. "This is all my fault! If only I'd learned the detoxification techniques sooner, I could save you myself... Please hold on, I'll go find my mom right now!"
With that, she dashed out the door, leaving Haruto lying on the floor, groaning in pain.
"Damn it, this is seriously bad!" Haruto cursed through gritted teeth.
Five minutes passed, and Hana still hadn't returned.
Haruto's hope dwindled. Was this how it would end for him? Killed by a poisoned dog scratch?
What a pathetic way to go, especially after all he'd accomplished. "No! If I die, it should be in a woman's arms, not like this!" he muttered, half-delirious.
His mind spun as the pain intensified. "System, are you there? Help me!" he called out mentally, hoping for a lifeline.
[Sorry, kid. I can't save you. This situation... it's out of my control.]
"What?! How can you be so useless at a time like this?" Haruto fumed. "This wasn't even my fault! I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time!"
[Luck is part of strength, Haruto. Maybe the Uchiha clan's bad fortune is catching up to you...]
"Damn it!"
Haruto's last hope, the system, had failed him. Despair washed over him as the poison crawled up his neck.
His vision blurred. Breathing became harder.
"This is it... I'm done for..."
Just when Haruto thought he'd taken his final breath, the door suddenly swung open.
A graceful woman with an angelic presence stepped inside.
"Sister Tsume? Are you home? I came to ask—"
She stopped mid-sentence, eyes locking onto Haruto's prone body. Without hesitation, she rushed to his side and expertly began treating the poison.
Haruto, barely conscious, opened his eyes slightly and saw her radiant face.
"Wow..." he breathed weakly.
"She's... so beautiful..."
"Is this heaven?"
"Are you... an angel?"
