Chapter 12 - I will back for you

Karil woke up and looked around to see that he was in an ordinary room. Karil sat up and said: "Where am I? The last time I was at home."

Karil left the room to see what had happened, went downstairs, and saw that he was in an ordinary, somewhat old house.

Karil thought: "Was I kidnapped?"

Patry saw that Karil was awake, came towards him, and smiled: "So, you're finally awake."

Suddenly, Karil shouted angrily: "Who are you?! Why did you bring me here?!"

Patry: "You had fainted. Your father and brother brought you here so you could get better."

Karil: "You're lying to me! You kidnapped me and brought me here to make me work!"

Patry shouted: "No! The soldiers had taken over your house, so Lyotan had to come here!"

Karil took a deep breath, calmed down a little, and said: "Where is my father? I want to see him."

Patry took Karil to Maxis's house.

Maxis: "Patry, why did you bring this boy here?"

Karil looked at him with a frown.

Patry sighed and said: "He insists on seeing Lyotan, I couldn't stop him."

Lyotan came to the door and said: "Karil, what are you doing here?"

Karil held Lyotan tightly and said: "Papa, why did you leave me?"

Lyotan stroked Karil's head and said: "Because I wanted you to get better soon."

Karil, hitting Lyotan with his fists, said: "You're so mean, Papa, how could you leave me and go?!"

Karil was very angry. Lyotan knelt down, hugged Karil, and said: "I don't want to leave you; I'll stay here until you get better."

Karil, surprised, said: "Get better? Am I sick?"

Lyotan: "Well, until you can control your magic, it's better to stay away from us."

Karil became sad and said: "Did I hurt you again?"

Lyotan smiled and said: "Of course not, I care about your health, and I don't want you to get hurt anymore."

Maxis put his hand on Karil's shoulder and said: "Karil, I'm a healer, I can help you control your magic."

Karil looked at Maxis and said: "Can you really?"

Maxis smiled and said: "Yes, I'll solve your problem. There is always a way."

Karil looked at Lyotan and happily said: "Papa, I promise I'll try to get better soon so I can see you again!"

Lyotan smiled and said: "I'll wait for you, I'm counting on you!" He winked.

Maxis: "Come with me, Karil. From today, I'll train with you to master your magic."

Karil: "Okay, let's start!" Karil went with Maxis.

Patry looked out in surprise and said: "They became friends so quickly."

Lyotan sighed and said: "Yeah, now I can finally rest a little."

Karil went with Maxis to a green open space to train. Karil stood on the grass while Maxis stood by a tree, watching him.

Maxis: "Release your magic."

Karil hesitated, took a deep breath, and extended his hand, but quickly stopped and looked down.

Maxis approached Karil and said: "What's wrong? Why did you stop?"

Karil looked at Maxis sadly and said: "If I use my magic, I'll lose control, and it will control me."

Maxis put his hand on Karil's shoulder and said: "Trust me and release your magic. Whatever happens, I'll be here to stop you."

Karil trusted Maxis, threw fire into the sky with his hand, and the flame spread.

Maxis: "See, it's not that hard."

Suddenly, Karil smirked and said: "I told you what would happen, it's your fault for not listening to me!"

Maxis took a defensive stance and said: "What's the reason for all this anger and hatred?"

Karil smirked and said: "I'll take revenge on all those people who made me suffer, I'll make them pay!"

Karil's eyes were filled with anger and hatred, and he laughed maniacally.

Suddenly, Maxis touched Karil's chest with his hand, a silver circle appeared, and Karil's power subsided.

Karil came to his senses, looked at his hands, and said in surprise: "What happened to me?"

Maxis put his hand on his forehead and said: "Your magic comes from anger and hatred, which makes it very hard and difficult for a child like you to control."

Karil: "What should I do?"

Maxis took a silver ring from his finger and gave it to Karil. Karil took the ring and said: "What's this?"

Maxis: "Put this ring on your finger, it will limit your magic and make it easier to control."

Karil put the ring on his finger, then created a fire in his hand, but this time he didn't lose control of his magic. Karil was happy and said: "I did it, I'm controlling it!"

Maxis smiled and said: "Now that your problem is solved, we can train together without worry."

Karil: "I'm ready!"

With the ring Maxis gave him, Karil was able to overcome his inner magic and start his journey as a magic apprentice.

It was almost dusk. Kazaris was walking down the street, feeling aimless.

Kazaris thought: "What is Karil doing? He must be really worried when he sees we are not there."

Suddenly, Kazaris saw Lyotan crossing the intersection with a sullen face.

Kazaris thought: "Maybe I should follow him."

Kazaris followed Lyotan from a distance and saw him enter a bar.

Kazaris: "Why is he going there?"

Kazaris decided to ignore Lyotan and go back home.

The next day, Kazaris saw Lyotan sleeping on the couch with disheveled clothes.

Kazaris frowned and said: "Get up, at least change your clothes."

Lyotan, groggily, said: "I've been up all night, let me sleep."

Kazaris, frowning, turned his back on Lyotan and, crossing his arms, said: "Do whatever you want."

Kazaris walked away, leaving Lyotan alone.

Kazaris went to check on Karil, climbing a tree to watch him. Karil was training with Maxis, hitting the practice targets with flames. He was getting better at hitting the center.

Maxis: "Good job, your aim is improving."

Karil laughed and said: "Does this mean I'll be able to go back to Papa and my brother soon?"

Maxis: "Your recovery is going well. If you keep this up, you can see them in a few days."

Karil laughed and said: "I'm so excited!"

Kazaris saw Karil's laughter from a distance, smiled, and thought: "Karil, I'm glad to see how much you've progressed."

Kazaris flew away. Karil looked at the horizon and thought: "Brother, were you watching me?" He smiled.

Maxis looked at the horizon and asked: "Is something wrong?"

Karil took a deep breath and said: "No, let's continue training."
