Almost at sunset, Kazaris returned home. Kazaris saw Lyotan changing his clothes to go out.
Kazaris thought: "He's going to get drunk all night again."
Lyotan headed for the door, but suddenly Kazaris grabbed Lyotan's wrist from behind and angrily said, "Where are you going?!"
Lyotan calmly replied, "I don't have to answer you."
Kazaris: "Are you going to the bar again to get drunk all night?"
Lyotan pulled his hand away and said, "You better mind your own business."
Kazaris quickly came to the door to stop Lyotan. Lyotan: "What are you doing?!"
Kazaris seriously said, "I won't let you; you're destroying your life."
Lyotan angrily said, "Enough, stop bothering me!"
Kazaris: "At least think about Karil!"
Lyotan put his hand on his forehead with a lot of sadness and said, "You don't understand me at all."
Suddenly, Lyotan quickly went towards the window and climbed out. Kazaris angrily said, "You fool!"
Kazaris went after Lyotan to stop him. Lyotan was walking, and suddenly Kazaris dove towards him to stop him. Lyotan fell to the ground and had to sit.
Kazaris angrily grabbed his collar and said, "Come with me; there's something I need to show you."
Lyotan: "What?"
Kazaris took Lyotan to the place where Karil was practicing.
When Karil saw Lyotan, he was delighted, took his hand, and said, "Papa, come here, I have something to show you."
Lyotan went with Karil.
Karil: "Stand here."
Karil went forward; in front of him were several training targets. Karil conjured a flame from his hand. Lyotan was frightened and shouted,
"Karil!"
Karil smiled and said, "Papa, don't worry, I'm fine."
Lyotan kept watching Karil. Karil threw flames at all the training targets one by one, and they all hit the mark.
Lyotan, amazed and happy, said, "Karil, you really...!"
Kazaris came next to Lyotan and said, "How do you feel now?"
Lyotan, feeling happy, said, "I don't know, I feel like the weight on my heart has lifted."
Karil, happily: "Papa, Maxis said I'll be able to come home soon."
Lyotan smiled and said, "Really? I'm so happy."
Kazaris took Lyotan's hand and said, "Come with me, I want to talk to you."
Lyotan looked at Karil and said, "Karil, we'll be back soon."
Lyotan went with Kazaris to a hill and sat beside him. Lyotan was looking into the distance. Kazaris thought: "He doesn't show it much, but he's really hurting inside."
Kazaris looked at Lyotan and said: "I don't understand much, but you're really upset about Tanita's death, aren't you?"
Lyotan looked at Kazaris and said: "Yeah, I have nightmares every night and can't sleep properly."
Kazaris: "I don't know much about Tanita. What kind of person was she?"
Lyotan: "Well, one day I saw her in the middle of the battlefield, a young girl with great fighting skills, and it was really hard to defeat her."
Kazaris chuckled under his breath and said: "I like girls like that."
Lyotan got annoyed and said: "Even after her death, you won't leave her alone?"
Lyotan took a breath and said: "I told her that a girl like her should have a good life and asked her to stop fighting." He smiled and continued: "She told me that she was the king's special knight and couldn't disobey the king's orders."
Kazaris got excited and said with clenched fists: "Damn king, if I find him, I'll kill him with my own hands!"
Lyotan looked at Kazaris in surprise and said: "What kind of demon are you?"
Kazaris: "When it comes to the woman I love, I'll stay true to my love for her for the rest of my life."
Lyotan laughed and said: "But now you're just a kid."
Kazaris frowned and said: "It's all your fault!"
Lyotan: "I asked Tanita to come with me and be my wife, but she wouldn't agree." He smirked and continued: "Then I kidnapped Tanita and took her with me."
Kazaris: "You're worse than me!"
Kazaris and Lyotan laughed together.
Lyotan: "Then we found out that Tanita couldn't have children. We heard rumors about a child with red eyes, and Tanita insisted on raising Karil as her own child."
Kazaris thought for a moment and said: "Now that I think about it, it was Karil who brought us together. Even if it's a painful fate, I'm really happy." He smiled.
Lyotan looked at Kazaris and said: "Yeah, it's hard to believe that you can live happily with your greatest enemy." He smiled.
Kazaris thought: "You're wrong. I'm just pretending to be happy. No matter how long it takes, I'll endure and one day I'll get my revenge on you."
Lyotan and Kazaris were walking. Suddenly, Karil happily ran towards them and said, "Papa, Brother, Maxis said I'm better now and can come back with you!"
Kazaris was surprised, looked at Karil, and said, "Really? Great job."
Karil: "Maxis said I have a lot of talent, and I can get into magic school before I'm 16."
Lyotan, feeling a bit down, said, "Oh yeah, you're really a very talented kid." He laughed.
Kazaris looked at Lyotan and said, "Are you jealous?" and smirked.
Lyotan laughed and said, "Of course not, why would I be jealous?"
Maxis, panting, came up to them and said, "Karil, wait for me."
Kazaris: "Maxis, you don't have as much energy as you used to."
Maxis: "You still have a sharp tongue, Karis."
Kazaris proudly said, "Of course, because I'm a demon."
Maxis: "Nothing less expected from you, even as a kid, you're still the same."
Kazaris got annoyed and said, "As an old man, you still know how to get on my nerves."
Karil: "Brother, don't fight."
Kazaris took Karil's hand and said with a smile, "Let's go home, Karil." Kazaris went with Karil.
Lyotan looked at Maxis and said, "Why do you call Kazaris 'Karis'?"
Maxis: "Because it's easier to pronounce, and he always hides his real name from everyone."
Lyotan thought for a moment and said, "I see, I understand why."
Kazaris and Karil were happy to be together after several days. The man who wanted to buy Karil from Liasin was watching Karil from afar, from a high place near the rocky road. His name was Freako, and he owned a large company.
He thought to himself, "You've really gotten much stronger, Karil. I'm so happy." He smiled. (Read Chapere 2)
A man: "Boss, don't you want to take your son back?"
Freako: "He's living a better life here without me. I'll wait until he grows up and then I'll go after him."
Freako thought that Karil was living a much better life with Lyotan, so he decided to leave Karil with Lyotan to ensure he had a good life.
