"Did you think about what you're going to do next?"
In the glow of a beautiful sunset, surrounded by golden trees and warm sunrays, two people stood in front of the horizon, their silhouettes blending with the vibrant colors of the evening. It was a scene straight out of a dream, where Shyam and Raitha were discussing their futures.
"Yes, I think I'm going to continue studying at Rimjhim University," Shyam replied calmly to Raitha's question.
But his answer seemed to take her by surprise. Her expression faltered for a moment as she said, "Well, I guess it's your choice."
Her tone betrayed her true feelings. It was as if she wanted to stop him, to hold him back from leaving, to keep him by her side forever. If she could, she might have spirited him away right there and never let him go. But fate, as always, had other plans.
Trying to shift the focus, Shyam asked, "Anyway, what about you? What are your plans after graduation?"
Raitha froze, clearly caught off guard. Her lips trembled as though she wanted to speak, but the words wouldn't come out. She hesitated, caught in a battle with her emotions.
Sensing her discomfort, Shyam spoke gently, trying to reassure her. "You don't have to say anything if you're not ready."
Her cheeks flushed a deep red as the golden sunset light illuminated her face. Gathering every ounce of courage, she blurted out, "It's not that I don't want toā¦ It's just... I can'tā¦ IāI justā¦ Iā¦"
And then, as if the words had been locked away for too long, they burst forth:
"I love you, okay? I don't want you to leave."
The world seemed to pause in that moment. Her confession, carried by the golden light, shimmered in the air before reaching Shyam's ears. It was a moment that only existed in dreams, now unfolding in reality.
Shyam stood frozen, his heart racing. It was as if his soul had momentarily left his body from sheer shock. Slowly, he met her gaze, the courage welling up inside him as he finally replied:
"You know, I love you too. But Rimjhim University is only a train ride away. I won't be leaving Trikota Village for good."
Raitha blinked in realization, her tears drying as a smile began to bloom on her face. She felt a mix of relief and embarrassment for having let her emotions overwhelm her. Quickly wiping her tears, she laughed nervously and said, "I knew that! I was just testing to see if you'd remember. Yeah, that's totally what it was."
Shyam smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Then why were you crying?"
And just like that, a beautiful love story began. I wish I knew if they ever truly got together, but if they didā¦ If they ever ended up marrying, I can only wish them all the happiness in the world.
