As the hatch opened, Bardock emerged from the medical pod, his eyes wide open.
"How are you feeling, Bardock?"
An elderly man in charge of the medical room asked.
"Although I'm still a bit dizzy, my body should be fine now," Bardock replied while putting on his clothes.
"It seems like I've had a strange dream these past few days."
"A dream?"
"Yeah…"
Ever since being hit by that Kanassaian's strange psychic attack, Bardock had been seeing odd visions from time to time. This time, he saw his daughter and a kid escaping to a blue planet, training in martial arts with an old man carrying a turtle shell, growing stronger step by step, and eventually standing before Lord Frieza to fight him.
That would have been fine, but what was even more absurd was that they actually won!
What a nonsensical and ridiculous dream.
"Bardock, are you sure you're alright?"
"Don't worry, we Saiyans are built differently from you. Hahaha…"
"By the way, where did Toma and the others go?"
Suddenly remembering something, Bardock asked.
"They received orders from Lord Frieza and have already headed to Planet Meat," the old man replied.
"What?! Those damn guys went without me!"
"Planet Meat, huh? It seems to be somewhere nearby in this star sector."
Putting on his scouter, Bardock impatiently rushed out of the medical room.
"Hey, Bardock! Bardock!"
Although the old man tried to call out to him, Bardock had already dashed away.
After rushing out of the medical room, Bardock quickly used his scouter to locate Planet Meat.
Sure enough, it wasn't too far from Planet Vegeta, about a two- or three-day journey under normal circumstances, or just one day at full speed.
That meant if he hurried, he might still be able to join the action!
While running toward the launch pad, he saw a boy in uniform cleaning the hallway. As Bardock approached, the boy stepped aside to let him pass.
In the brief moment they passed each other, Bardock caught a glimpse of the boy out of the corner of his eye and was suddenly startled.
It was the boy from his dream!
Stopping in his tracks, Bardock turned to look back, but the boy had already disappeared around the corner.
"Was it just an illusion…?"
"Whatever, I should hurry and catch up with mand the others!"
Dismissing his doubts in an instant, Bardock resumed his dash toward the launch pad.
...
The next morning—
Yuujin had already been awake for some time, fully dressed and having finished breakfast. He stood by the window, staring blankly at the scenery outside.
Today was the day to decide his fate!
Although he had lived on this planet for six years, Yuujin felt no attachment or fondness for this power-centric and ruthlessly cruel world. In fact, he spent each day here on edge.
Finally, he could leave. Whether he succeeded or failed, survived or perished, it would all be over soon!
A flash of determination appeared in his eyes as he calmed himself. Then, he retrieved a memory chip from a drawer.
It was a small chip, but it contained a vast amount of data, storing many advanced alien technologies.
The Saiyans weren't a particularly intelligent race. Their civilization revolved around nothing but combat, and the technology they used had always been plundered from other planets and civilizations.
Saiyans didn't place much value on technology; to them, it was merely a tool, far less important than their own strength.
Using his position as an advantage, Yuujin had secretly copied and stolen a considerable amount of alien technology over the years. While it was difficult to obtain the most crucial and valuable data, the contents of this chip alone were enough to advance Earth's technological level by decades, if not centuries!
Since he was about to escape to Earth, why not bring a gift for the planet as well?
Leaving his room, Yuujin glanced at the escape pod still sitting in the hall, with Seripa sleeping inside.
"Goodbye, Seripa. I wish us both good luck," he said to the unconscious Saiyan, then turned away without looking back.
...
In the spaceship launch control room, operators were busy working on their computers.
Ships took off for missions every day, and others returned from assignments just as frequently.
"Lord Nappa, Lord Mika has ordered all personnel in the launch control room to head to the conference room immediately. He has an important announcement to make."
Entering the room, Yuujin addressed a Saiyan seated at the head.
"Lord Mika has an important announcement?"
"All personnel, stop working and follow me."
"Yes, Lord Nappa."
The Saiyan named Nappa stood up and ordered his subordinates to follow him out of the control room.
Yuujin had been the one delivering messages like this often, so no one suspected he was lying. He had never lied here before, and they didn't believe he would dare to.
With the control room's doors shut, Yuujin was left alone. His eyes shone sharply as he dashed to the console, swiftly entering commands.
He had no more than 15 minutes. He had to hurry!
In terms of combat ability, Yuujin was the weakest of the weak here, but when it came to intelligence and learning capability, he was confident he could outwit any Saiyan!
Having prepared for this day and secretly practiced countless times, Yuujin easily pulled up several unoccupied spacecraft.
Inputting commands and setting coordinates, everything was ready!
Without hesitation, Yuujin quickly left the control room and dashed toward the nursery.
Three minutes had already passed; he had no more than 12 minutes left!
"Hey, Sirus, what are you doing?!"
A green-scaled alien yelled as Yuujin sprinted down the hallway.
Time was of the essence, and Yuujin didn't have the luxury to respond. Using every ounce of his strength, he pushed his body beyond its limits.
After about two minutes, he finally reached the nursery.
The reason he came here, even at such a critical moment, was naturally to take Kakarot and Broly with him!
However, as he stepped inside, he was met with a shocking sight...
