Ugh, Aurelia! Why do you always mess everything up?! The bride thought as she tried her best to win the approval of the guests back.

The guests were not happy with the wedding in the slightest. They had higher expectations for a wedding hosted by a high-class man such as Jimmy. Most of them felt terrible for Jimmy because they knew that the wedding would've gone much smoother if the bride wasn't drunk. Some believed that she was a gold-digger, and their belief was reasonable.
Even though the wedding was going horribly, Jimmy decided to speak to more guests. He thought that if he had conversations with more guests, they would be inclined to stay and enjoy themselves.
I need to make sure that crazed woman doesn't do another stupid thing, Jimmy thought.
He marched over to his wife and grabbed her wrist so tight that she softly cried out from the pain.
"You're hurting me!" she yelled.
"Shut up! I don't care about what I'm doing to you," Jimmy whispered firmly as he dragged his wife with him to a few guests.
Aurelia decided that it would be best to close her mouth this time because she feared that her husband would hit her in front of everyone if she continued to spew nonsense. She tried her best to act as if she was having the time of her life while being dragged by her husband.
The couple arrived at a table with three guests, and Aurelia correctly guessed that they were very important people; VIPs, if you will. They all were dressed in smart clothes, with the woman looking the smartest. Aurelia recognized her from a magazine she had read once, the headline reading, "Top Ten Most Influential Woman in the World." The woman was ranked number one.
Her blonde hair was tied back in a sleek bun and her glasses framed her face perfectly, enhancing her alluring amber eyes. Her skin was impeccably tanned and her makeup was flawless. She was a very stunning and classy lady, and her husband was smart to marry her.
He, a smart and good-looking man himself, also rang a bell in Aurelia's memory. She remembered seeing a picture of him shaking hands with the President of the United States in the news somewhere.
His neat dark brown hair matched his enticing eyes, and his skin was pale but radiant. He wore a dazzling tuxedo that fit his muscular body perfectly.
The smart couple's son also looked intelligent. He brushed his shaggy nut-brown hair out of his hazel eyes and continued to stare at the woman he thought of as a goddess, occasionally looking away when she looked in another direction. He did not want to get caught staring at the crazy drunk bride.
The smart guests smiled, two fake, one real.Â
Alexei rested his head on his hand as he gazed at the drunk woman standing so close to him, admiring her face that expressed a look of unease. Normally, he didn't believe in love at first sight, but he could make an exception this time.
"Why hello, friends!" Jimmy greeted. "How are you all doing?"
One of the guests bowed his head to the groom. "We're doing alright, thank you."
"You would feel even better after seeing the latest news, Mr. and Mrs. Morozova," Jimmy replied. "Have you both seen it?"
The two adults shook their heads, while their son seemed zoned out. "No... Is it something bad?" the man asked.
"It better not be," his wife replied. "I swear to kill anyone who decides to run their mouth on things that don't concern them. And I'm not joking."
The man chuckled. "Alena, calm down."
"Yeah," Jimmy laughed. "It's on the 'Nevada News.' Check it out."
He took his phone out of his tuxedo pocket and turned the screen displaying a news article from Nevada News to Mr. and Mrs. Morozova.
As soon as they saw the headline, they looked at each other and smiled. It read, "Sarov and Alena Morozova—the World's New Power Couple!"
"That's us!" Sarov beamed.
Alena put her hand on her heart and grinned at Jimmy. "Aw, thanks for showing this to us, Jimmy," she said.
"Only the best treatment for the smartest people I know!"Â
The couple grinned, though they had been called smart and important most of their lives. Sarov Morozova was famous for being the CEO of the popular car brand, Morozova. He was also the COO of a successful aerospace company, Xplore, owned by Alena Morozova, his wife, who was the COO of Morozova. They truly made the best team, and together, it seemed like they could do any and everything. Their son admired how close his parents were, and all he wanted was to be like that with his own wife one day... Aurelia, perhaps?
Aurelia looked around awkwardly as her husband and the guests started to talk. She wanted to impress these superhumans but knew that there was a high chance that her drunk nature would ruin any type of conversation she would try to start. Taking in a deep breath, she finally decided to say something.
"How is business going for you two?" Aurelia quietly asked, interrupting the conversation. She started to fidget with her hands.
Jimmy and the guests turned to face Aurelia, and the surprise was evident on their faces. They were startled by her sudden question and didn't think she would open her mouth to say anything at all.
Sarov and Alena frowned. "It's fine," they both replied at the same time.
"Great!" Aurelia smiled. She looked down at her poofy wedding dress, feeling extremely out of place.
Sarov sighed and scratched his chin, and Aurelia noticed that his nails were abnormally short and rigid. Perhaps he liked to bite his nails.
Jimmy spoke up to break the awkward silence while his wife started wishing that she hadn't come to the wedding in the first place.Â
"You both are just amazing, and I'm so honored to have the world's power couple at my event!"
"We're honored to be here," Alena lied. "Thank you for the praise, but you truly don't give yourself enough credit. I mean, you're the Vice President of the United States!"
Jimmy laughed. "That's nothing compared to what you two are doing," he replied.
The Vice President looked at a sophisticated-looking man in a nice-fitting black tuxedo. His hair was neatly styled, adding to his polished appearance, while his confident posture conveyed both poise and charisma.
"Say, have you both met my good friend?" he asked. "He's the journalist for Nevada News."
"Oh wow," Sarov said, feigning being impressed. "We've never met him."
"Joel!" Jimmy called out loudly.
The sophisticated-looking man turned his head to see who was calling him and smiled when he saw Jimmy.
"Hey, Jimmy." The man took a few steps toward the newlyweds and the guests.
He happily shook Jimmy's hand, reluctantly shook Aurelia's hand, and turned to face the three important guests.
"Morozovas," Jimmy smiled, "this is Joel Riggins, my good friend and the head journalist for Nevada News. He's the one who makes all the news articles, and he's the one who made the news article I showed to you both."
"Why, hello," Joel greeted. "I never expected to meet the most prominent figures in today's society!"
Sarov and Alena grinned.
"Thank you," Sarov replied. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Wow, and they say it's a pleasure to meet me? I feel so important!"
Jimmy and the important guests fake laughed.
"Yeah, this is the guy who writes all the praise for the Morozovas," he said.
A large, proud smile flashed across Joel's face. "Yup!"Â
Suddenly, a ringtone could be heard.
"Who could that be?" Jimmy asked. He patted the pockets of his tuxedo to check for his phone.
Joel blushed. "Sorry, it's mine," he muttered. "I'll just take this real quick."
He hurried to the exit of the reception area while Jimmy turned to face the boy who had fallen into an odd substance called love.
"Say, Alexei, there's some talk about you, too."
Sarov and Alena smiled before looking at their son, only to frown again when they noticed he was zoned out staring at the bride.
"Alexei!" Sarov snapped. Alexei jumped. "Did you hear what he said?"
Alexei shook his head.
"I said," Jimmy told him, "that the people are talking about you, too."
"Oh really? I hope it's no scandal," Alexei replied. He spoke English with an attractive Russian accent.
Aurelia looked at him and found herself smiling at his diamond stud earring. She absolutely loved guys wearing diamond stud earrings. Alexei may have been cute before, but he was a definite bombshell now.
She allowed her drunk emotions to take control. "Who would ever talk shit about such a drop-dead gorgeous man like you?"
Everyone at the table slowly turned their gaze to Aurelia and frowned, except one person. He did the opposite of what everyone else did and smiled.
