Chapter 4 - A Messy Fight

Everyone at the table slowly turned their gaze to Aurelia and frowned, except one person. He did the opposite of what everyone else did and smiled.

"Taha, thank you," Alexei said.

Jimmy was pissed. He angrily glared at Aurelia with all the wrath of one thousand venomous demons and then at Alexei. Despite his anger, he remained silent. He would save all his bubbling rage for when he and Aurelia were alone.

"Alexei!" Sarov banged his fist on the table. "Are you out of your mind?! Why are you entertaining this fool's behavior?"

"We raised you better than to associate with lost causes," Alena added.

Alexei wanted to yell at his parents for disrespecting his future wife. He wished he could say that he stood up for Aurelia and told his parents how rude they were acting. But that would be far from the truth because all he did was continue to sit in his seat and look down on the floor. The truth was, he was scared of his parents and knew that if he ever raised his voice at them, a hand would raise to slap his face.

Plus, he knew they were right. Aurelia, a bride, was stupid for flirting with him in front of her husband at herย own wedding.

"That's kind of you," Aurelia muttered. She'd only meant to whisper it, but she accidentally said it louder than expected.

"Thank you," Alena replied, adding to the sarcasm. "My husband and I are always kind to... the less fortunate."

Aurelia exhaled deeply. She decided not to speak to anyone for the rest of the night. Everything she said that day had been seen as wrong and shameful, so she promised that no matter what circumstance she found herself in that night, no words were to come out of her mouth.

By the look on Aurelia's face, Alena realized that she didn't want to talk anymore, and that annoyed her. Alena was petty and loved to poke fun at those who were unfavorable in her eyes, so she decided to try to force Aurelia to say at least one sentence.

"So," Alena said, "how'd you both meet?"

Alexei listened intently. He wanted to know how this abominable relationship came to exist as well.

When Aurelia didn't say anything, Jimmy spoke up.

"Well, I know it sounds bad but we met on a dating app," he laughed.

"Oh wow," Alena replied. "Those filters must've come in handy."

Sarov's face was still but his mind was crying out with laughter. Jimmy, on the other hand, wasn't too pleased, and Aurelia felt the same way. Alexei's eyebrows furrowed.

"Anyway," Alena smiled, "I'm happy that this little relationship came to be."

I'm not, Alexei thought.

"Who would've known the Vice President would marry the... the... Wait, what are you important for again?"

Aurelia stared at Alena like she had killed her entire family.

Did this bitch just question my importance? she thought.

In spite of her boiling fury, Aurelia remained silent.

Alena snorted and leaned into her husband's ear. "Looks like she's only good for being Jimmy's cum bucket," she whispered loud enough for everyone to hear. "She's his little toilet."

"Mom!"

"Hush, Alexei."

And that's exactly what he did.

Now, Aurelia had drunk more than enough alcohol to kill a newborn, and that amount of alcohol was more than enough to ignite her flaming anger and set it on fire. She was more furious than she had ever been in her entire 22 years of living. Her heart started to race blindly and she could practically feel the steam coming out of her ears. All the annoyance, frustration, and anger she had bottled up inside her chest would spill out with no remorse.

"What the fuck did you just say to me, bitch?!"ย

Everyone in the reception area turned their heads in the direction of the scream to see a crazed woman pulling at the hair of the most influential woman in the world!

"Get off me you rabid raccoon!" the influential woman screamed while kicking her feet out.

Her expensive red bottoms were to die for. The heel was sharp and long, and the toe box was pointy, so Aurelia felt a surge of pain whenever her acute heel would jab into her stomach.

Jimmy sighed and sat down knowing that he was too old and weak to do anything about the fight. He decided to watch what would unfold.

Sarov immediately stood up and tried to get in between the fight but it was no use. Aurelia was not letting go of Alena's hair. Her grip tightened whenever she felt a swift kick in her stomach.ย

Alena loudly cried out when she felt a swift, decisive blow on her left cheekbone that left her reeling.ย

Alexei and a few other guests watched as Aurelia threw blind punches at Alena, their eyes wide. They all were unsure of what to do. Alexei wanted to help his mother but had to admit, she fucked around and found out.

The guests on the more sensible side decided to run over to the messy fight and tried their best to quell it. A brave one grabbed Aurelia's waist and dragged her away from the crying woman while the rest tried to remove her tightened grip on Alena's hair.

"Stop touching me, bastard!" Aurelia screamed as she felt her hand being torn off the hair she so badly wanted to rip out.ย

Once it was clear that Aurelia and Alena were separated, the brave guest carried the perpetrator to the exit of the reception room and quite literally threw her out as if she were a sack of vegetables.

"And stay out!" he shouted. "You should be ashamed!"

"Go have sex with yourself, asshole!" Aurelia cried out on the floor.

The guest held his head high, and with a "Hmph!", walked back into the reception area to check on the chaos.

Aurelia started sobbing uncontrollably. Her mascara dripped down her face and her angered screeches could be heard all the way from a whale swimming peacefully in India. At least she had gotten the last word.

After bawling her eyes out, cursing, getting concerned looks, and screaming "Fuck off! I don't do cocaine!" to random strangers on the cold, hard ground for about twenty minutes, Aurelia finally crawled herself to a bus stop and waited for a bus to drop her off near home.

Agh, but what home? she thought.ย If I go to my home, the home owned by Jimmy, he'll be sure to yell his head off at me! But if I go to my mom's home, she might not welcome me. Whatever. I know she'll have SOME type of mercy on me. I guess I'll go to her house.

Thinking about her terrible circumstance, Aurelia started to sob even more.

"Hello, ma'am," a voice said. "Are you in need of help?"

Without even looking up, Aurelia screamed at him. "I don't need rehab! I'm tired of everyone saying that! Leave me alone!"

The man jumped back, startled by her unexpected outburst, as Aurelia lifted her head to see the face behind the voice offering help. When she saw that a rather handsome man was speaking, she gasped.

"Wait, I didn't mean to say that! I am in need of help!" Aurelia yelled. "Can you help me finger myself?"

The shocked man ran away, never to return, as Aurelia weptย even more.

What is wrong with you, Aurelia? she thought.ย Why can't you be normal like everyone else?! This is why you're so unwanted!

A few minutes later, a bus arrived at the bus stop and after the bus door opened, Aurelia dragged herself to the steps.

The bus driver jumped back at her freakish appearance. "Um, this bus has a no-tolerance policy for cigarette smokers."

"But I'm not. I'm drunk."

The bus driver eyed her as if she were a moldy rat begging for drugs. It seemed like more than one hundred people had done the same thing that night.

"Y'know what, I'll make an exception this time because it seems to be your wedding," the bus driver sighed. "Wouldn't wanna ruin your special day."

"It was never special to begin with," Aurelia muttered as she climbed up the stairs and sat in the first seat she saw.

The bus ride was long but Aurelia was happy that she was finally able to have some peace and quiet. As soon as she arrived at her mother's house, she stumbled into her bedroom drunker than a geeky nerd at a frat party trying to look cool, flopped onto her bed as if she had run more than Forrest Gump, and buried her head in her pillow in an attempt to remove the horrible memory of the evening's festivities from her mind. After a few minutes, she passed out.

Aurelia was done for the day.
