The next day was the orientation class. Erika and Maruschka both got up and readied themselves for their classes.
Bauer helped them to change their clothes and brought breakfasts for the three of them.
"Bauer you must remain in the room and don't go anywhere. Keep the P38 close to you at all times." Erika secretly said to her while Maruschka was not noticing.
"As you wish milady. But you be careful as well."
"Don't worry. I also have the P38 with me. But I am worried more about Maruschka."
"Oh, are you guys talking about me?" Maruschka said hearing them speak her name.
"Yeah we were talking about how you slept last night. You must've been real tired, huh?"
"So why did you cry like that on milady's shoulder?" Bauer asked.
Maruschka's face turned red.
"A-actually I don't remember anything from last night. S-so please excuse me." Saying this Maruschka ran away. She was all shy and flustered.
"I'll be going as well. See you soon Bauer."
"Have a nice day milady."
Erika went after Maruschka.
"Hey wait up. Don't run away like that." She shouted at Maruschka.
Then together they went to their orientation class.
The class was in the 1st year academic building. Which was a three storied concrete building with yellowish color. It was very big almost like a castle in itself.
All the first year students gathered at the great hall for students gathering at the third floor of the building.
The teacher in charge of the orientation class spoke from a dias in the front stage. There were some other teachers standing behind him.
There was also table on the stage that had a small orb on it. An assistant teacher in wizard robes of black color was standing.
"Good morning students. As you know, I am your homeroom teacher Kluge Von Golgoza. Today we will test your magic affinity and assign you to your respective classes accordingly."
The teacher said.
"You will have history, language and maths classes together. But the rest of the classes will be held in different classes under different teachers."
Pointing at various teachers he introduced them one by one.
Erika recognised all the teachers from the game. However, these teachers were not really of concern and many of them were actually faceless in the game though they have distinguishable face now.
Erika's concern was about the magic teacher that would be in charge of Maruschka.
Because he was also a capture target and would act as a mental support whenever the player was down.
"Now since the introduction is done, we will move on to the magic affinity test. The students must come according to their assigned rolls one by one and check your magic powers." The teacher explained.
One by one, the students checked their magic affinity and were assigned to various classes.
After almost half of the students had tasted, it was now Maruschka's turn.
She went on the stage and placed her hands on the the orb.
To everyone's surprise the orb emitted a very bright white color that almost engulfed the whole room.
Everyone was surprised. They started talking amongst themselves.
"Isn't that the commoner?"
"Oh, the one who seduced his highness the crown prince?"
"Really! how can she do that?"
"I don't know. She is even leaching of his fiance Lady Erika Raubenbraum."
"How impertinent!"
Erika was flustered with the talking among the students, even more so because she can't intervene this time.
"Well lady Maruschka it seems like you have a strong affinity for holy magic. I think we'll have to assign you with special magic course because we don't have any other student with holy magic."
"Ah, excuse me, may I take charge of teaching her? I have some experience with holy magic."
The teacher who spoke was Schorner, the capture target Erika was worried about.
"I expected as much. It seems this is going according to the game." Erika said to herself.
The student's whispering was getting louder and louder, so Kluge intervened.
"Quiet students the class is still in session."
The commotion died down when Maruschka returned to her seat beside Erika and other students continued to test their affinity.
"Ah, lady Erika what do you think about my magic? Are you impressed?"
Maruschka was excited. Even though she heard the other students bad mouthing her, she didn't lose hope and wanted to know how Erika felt about her magic.
"Hmm, I think you have a nice magic and it would be of great help to people in the future." Erika shook her head.
Finally it was Erika's turn. When she was called whispers started again.
"Is she the lady Erika Raubenbraum?"
"Really, she was sitting with the commoner?"
"Why would she do that? Didn't that commoner seduce his highness?"
Maruschka sank in her seat all embarrassed and afraid.
"Such a disgusting girl. Even though the lady Raubenbraum showed her kindness, she is still leeching off of her."
"That's what they're capable of."
Erika went to the table and put her hand on the magic orb.
Immediately, the orb turned pitch black. It seemed like all the light has been sucked up by the darkness.
"Huh, What's happening?! I don't understand."
"Why is it dark all of a sudden? I can't see anything.!"
The students started talking among themselves.
The teacher Schorner spoke as if he was shocked and surprised.
"It can't be! Is it... dark magic!?"
Erika herself was astonished.
"This wasn't supposed to happen.! I was supposed have a bit blueish color in the first test! Why is it dark!?" She thought.
Soon however, the color changed to a very bright blue signifying Erika's affinity to craftsman magic.
"Don't worry students, maybe it was a glitch in the orb. It seems Lady Raubenbraum has affinity for crafting magic not the dark magic."
The homeroom teacher said.
"Mr. Golgoza give me the orb. I will take it to my lab and check if something's wrong with it." Schorner said.
After the commotion the orientation class was finally over and the students moved to another classroom for their first class.
The new room was also fairly large and was able to accomodate all the first year students.
There were two columns of crescent shaped desk and benches for the male and female students.
The students noticed that Erika and Maruschka sat together in the front seat.
They again started to talk about them.
This time again Erika warned the other students about bad mouthing Maruschka.
Soon the teacher came. The first class was history and the teacher started explaining the history of the Kingdom of Hohenstaufia.
