Chapter 7 - chapter 7

Sam was greeted by the appearance of a pink haired woman, she had the youthful looks of a woman in her early twenties. Her short pink hair added to her grace and beauty.

She was the same woman who told sam to meet up with her, Miss Sanders.

The library was more of a storeroom for books, there were three shelves where books had filled them. Miss Sanders occupied a seat and table in front of the books.

The only available space in the library was in front of Miss Sanders where she attended to students. She appeared to be busy at the time Sam and Fred came. Her table was stacked up with lots of books she was going through one after the other.

She looked up from the work to face Sam when they entered. Miss Sanders was about to say something but swallowed it when her eyes fell on Sam.

"Afternoon Miss Sanders" Sam greeted, nudging Fred to leave. "You told me to see you."

"Yes, Yes I did please take a seat." she gestured to a seat facing her. She then turned her attention to Fred. "And what can I do for you? Fred Weller. You are not the reading type to care about books, do you?"

'Weller? what a name?' Sam thought as he took his seat in front of the teacher.

"No I am only here for...erm.... your briefing in class which I didn't understand" Fred stammered, rubbing the back of his neck.

"And which is?" She asked, catching him off guard. She knew, Fred cared less about studying like most of the students in class 4.

Fred scratched his head, avoiding her gaze. His eyes lit up when Miss Sanders told him to take his seat next to Sam. She was a teacher after all and she wasn't going to deny a student audience with her.

As soon as they settled down, Sam began almost immediately. He brought about the topic of soul energy manipulation. He had a good grasp of the theory aspect but had problems regarding the practical aspect.

"Soul energy serves as a power source as well as our life force, you can't just gain control over it by force. No,It needed to be guided and led. That's why newly awakened summoners find it hard to control their own soul energy."

From Miss Sanders explanation, Sam found his missing link. A detail he had failed to notice. His soul energy was still new and similar to a child needed to be guided. His soul energy needed to be familiar with the different channels of his body.

Miss Sanders went on about the topic, granting Sam more insight as well erecting questions from him which she answered.

Time flew by quickly, too quick for Sam who was enjoying her teaching. He was eager to put into practice what she told him. However, his time with Miss Sanders was cut short as the bell rang signalling the end of the break.

Sam grunted as he got up, he needed to be in class, he tapped Fred who was asleep during the whole session.

As he touched Fred, Sam felt his heart squeezed and his breath seized like someone had pressed his neck. It only happened for a split second, but that was enough to make Sam wince as he clutched his chest.

There was worry written all over the teacher's face, she stood up stretching her hands to Sam for support. "Are you okay?" She asked with a sincere look on her face.

Not finding the words to speak, he merely nodded his head as he headed to the door.

Fred woke up, after few taps from Sam. He stretched like a cock about to mate and cleaned the drool that was on the side of his mouth. He flashed Miss Sanders a smile but got a glare in return. His eyes darted across the library untill it landed on Sam who was halfway through the door but still.

The sensation Sam felt struck again, this time worse than before, his voice lost in his throat as he felt his breath being squeezed out of his body. His under belly burned like hell like he was being stabbed with a hot knife. No, it was like he was burning from the inside.

Sam wanted to scream to let out the pain inside of him, but he couldn't, he had lost the strength to speak. At the moment Sam closed his eyelids feeling the darkness slowly encroaching him which he accepted as he dropped to the ground.

At Riverdale academy, principal Goldman had instructed Adams class 4 current teacher to teach the newly awakened students how to summon their contracted beasts.

Sofia, was determined not to fail, she had mentally pushed all limitations she had before she awakened. All her classmates were here, gathered in a large room that had a vide range of space.

Principal Goldman had recommended it to prevent anything from getting destroyed as Sam had done to the demptore. Thinking of Sam, Sofie had mixed feelings, before her earlier awakening, she had always held Sam in her regard and looked up to him.She was sure he would not encounter any problem with his awakening, but when he failed, her family came first in her mind.

Like her father had always told her. 'There are people who are just a stepping stone, some a ladder, while others are just the push you need.'

To her Sam was the push she needed before her awakening, to her now, he was well her shadow?

Sofie could feel the excitement brewing from Lisa's who was seated close to her. A smile was plastered on Lisa's face grinning ear to ear.

Most of the students had the same feelings, like the day when they first awakened.

Principal Goldman had given the students two days before they came back to school to summon their beast. All of them couldn't summon their beast on their first try when they just awakened.

Mrm Adams their homeroom teacher arrived signalling the start of their summoning.
