"I... I understand," Yanny responded, her eyes locked on Raza. "Very well, Raza, you are not dead; instead, you should use this opportunity to approach this female, you are dead already!" she thought. "And this new male—he looks so powerful. Why would he follow an 'ugly' female like her? No… they haven't mated yet, which means he's still unchosen. Very well then, Raza, you played this part well. I will thank you for this; this new male must be mine," she thought as she laughed inwardly.
"Very well, Raza!" Webby's voice suddenly chimed in. "You are not dead; instead, you should use this opportunity to approach this female. You are dead already," Webby revealed with a mocking grin on his face.
Yanny was stunned, her gaze fixed on Webby in shock.
Lily furrowed her brows tightly, understanding that Webby must have read her thoughts and had just revealed what Yanny was thinking.
"H-How... how could he guess what I was thinking?" Yanny's eyes widened in astonishment, and her heart began racing.
Webby's smile gradually turned cold. "That's not all," he remarked. "And this new male—he looks so powerful. Why would he follow an 'ugly' female like her? No… they haven't mated yet, which means he's still unchosen. Very well then, Raza, you played this part well. I will thank you for this; this new male must be mine," he disclosed once again.
Yanny took a step back, her heart racing faster as she struggled to breathe through her nose. "What… what…?" She couldn't find the right words to say.
Devin sensed that the new male being referred to was him, and in an instant, he stepped in front of Yanny, raising her off the ground by her neck.
"You have some nerve to harbor such foolish ideas about me. Who do you think you are? You may be a female, but let me tell you this: I can kill females too," his voice was cold, sending shivers down everyone's spine. "You don't deserve to live anymore," he stated, his eyes turning crimson, much like Angus's. His grip tightened around Yanny's neck, ready to snap it.
"This short-tempered guy is really going to kill someone—aiya, Yanny, why did you fall for a devil like him?" Star thought, shaking her head in pity.
Webby looked at Star.
Star noticed his gaze and her jaw dropped. "Don't tell me he can read my thoughts too!" she exclaimed inwardly.
Webby cast her a bored glance.
"Damn it! This second devil can read my thoughts too! Lily! Give me back my powers!" Star shouted inwardly.
"Let her go immediately, Devin!" Lily's calm voice rang out.
It was as if Lily's voice was a kind of commanding melody in Devin's mind because, as soon as she spoke, he released Yanny, who fell to the ground with a loud thud, coughing repeatedly as she tried to catch her breath.
Devin calmed, and his crimson eyes transformed into a yellow hue, which still symbolized his unsettled anger.
Lily moved closer to Yanny, helping her up. "I'm sorry," she apologized.
Yanny's eyes widened. "You..." She looked stunned.
Lily smiled. "I just want you to grant Raza his freedom, that's all," she explained.
Yanny bit her lower lip, looking at Lily. "I heard you," she replied, conceding. "I will go home first," she stated, taking one last glance at Webby, Devin, and then Raza before she left.
Lily's eyes flashed gold for just a brief moment.
"You tell me, what did she think before she left?" Devin demanded as he looked at Webby.
Webby glanced at Devin and then ignored him.
"You," Devin gritted his teeth.
"It's fine now; no need to be afraid of her anymore, okay? You are free now," Lily assured Raza.
Raza nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, elder sister," he smiled charmingly.
"Get lost," Liam immediately separated Raza from Lily, carrying her in his arms. "I've been watching you! You're taking advantage of my Beauty," he accused.
Raza's jaw dropped. "I didn't!" he defended himself.
"What? You dare deny it? At first, you ran to her and secretly touched her waist. You think I didn't see you?" Liam's eyes turned cold.
"I..."
"Why did you run to Beauty's side in the first place instead of this weird fruit's side? I wouldn't even mind if you have kissed her!" Liam interrupted Raza's explanation.
Star's eyes darkened immediately. "Who are you referring to, Mr. Fox?" Her eyes narrowed with intensity.
"You clearly know I was talking to you," Liam rolled his eyes in boredom.
"Seriously! You think a small kid is my type? Are you out of your mind!" Star shouted angrily.
Liam cast her a mocking smile. "Small kid or not, I think you're the one who's lost it. Tell me your troubles, and I will find a solution for you," he declared.
"What do you mean?" Star glared at him with a murderous intent.
Liam sighed. "You're just being foolish; you'll never find a husband if you continue like this," he proclaimed.
"Liam!!"
"Shut up!"
"Lily, did you see... see him insulting me like this?" Star looked at Lily, her eyes ablaze with rage.
Lily sighed, unsure of what to say anymore. "You both…"
"Beauty, don't mind this weird fruit; just let her be," Liam interrupted.
"I said, do not ever in your entire years of life refer to me as weird fruit again!" Star yelled.
"Really, you will only be provoked to death by Liam if you keep arguing with him," Malik remarked.
"Repeat that!" Star directed her anger at Malik immediately.
"I wish you good health," Malik replied, walking past her.
"You!" Star gritted her teeth. "Very… well!" She stormed out furiously.
Lily sighed once more. "Put me down," she instructed.
Liam looked at her like a wronged little child. "Don't be like this, beauty; it's been too long since I carried you," he complained.
Lily's mouth twitched. "What do you mean too long? Stop making things up; my stomach is hurting again," she lamented.
Liam promptly sat Lily down on the bed and gently touched her tummy. "How is it?" he asked.
Lily pulled his hands away and lay back on the bed. "I'm going to sleep; take care, everyone," she said.
Everyone just stared at Lily, dumbfounded.
"Wait, isn't Angel on her period? Why can't I smell anything?" Art suddenly inquired.
"I'm wondering about that too," others replied in unison.
Lily, who was not deeply asleep bite her lower lip. "That's because I have self-preserved well; who would want your disturbance?" she thought to herself, feeling annoyed.
