Chapter 71 - You surely have no good intentions now that you suddenly brought up the idea

"I see," Star raised her brows. "Then for your information, I don't have any other method to fix the puzzle," she remarked.

"Leave it be then," Lily simply stated. "Actually, there's one thing worrying me the most."

"And what could that be?"

"I had a vision that my husbands and My best friend, Berry, were severely injured, and this was done by someone just because I didn't accept him to be my husband. I was curious if this person is Webby because he was the only one who has proposed to me, and after that, I haven't seen him. But this vision I just couldn't ignore; it looks and feels real, and I can't shake the feeling that it's around the corner, for it to come to past" she reported.

Star became serious. "A vision like this, you can't just ignore it," she responded. "I have an idea. Why don't you just accept every proposal to avoid this kind of trouble?" A playful smile appeared on Star's face.

Lily looked at Star as if she were looking at an annoying chick. "Can you please be serious? I thought you could find a solution to this trouble. Stop being playful," she lectured, her eyes narrowing.

Star's jaw dropped. "Isn't that the best solution?" she questioned.

"You have the worst solution," Lily snapped.

"Anyway, the choice is yours, whether to let the vision come to pass or avoid it."

"You mean you don't have a better solution for me?"

"I'm not the host, little girl!"

Lily's mouth twitched. "I'm done with you," she replied.

"Anyway, you will need to relocate. You have stayed in one tribe for too long; change location," Star commented.

Lily looked at her. "Do I need to change location? I like it here; I'm not interested. Besides, my best friend lives nearby. I don't want to relocate," she replied.

"Girl," Star folded her arms. "I'm not asking for your opinion; I'm clearly instructing you. Whether you like it or not, you are relocating. If not for boredom, it would be for the purpose of avoiding trouble," she stated.

"Let me ask you, what trouble are you talking about?"

"Didn't you just say you had a terrible vision? I can tell that the fellow who appeared in your vision is around. Don't you think that if you relocate, you can at least avoid his confession?"

Lily's brows knitted slightly. "You sound as if the shadow is not Webby," she pointed out.

"Who knows? It might not be him. I'm not like you, who can predict the future. I only know more about things of the past, and that's if the present happened in my presence," she explained.

Lily's mouth twitched. "I will listen to you then, but I will only relocate after Angus is awake and once this chilling season shifts," she replied.

"Up to you. You've spent a lot of time in my world; it's time to go back," Star stated.

"Which world are you talking about, huh? Do you really think the space in this ring is yours?" A mocking smile appeared on Lily's lips.

"Open your eyes wider and see clearly, baby girl. Things here are my elements," Star declared arrogantly.

Lily cast her a bored gaze. "I've heard enough of you already," she commented, feeling lazy to argue with Star.

"Hmph! Go back to your husbands," Star responded, and immediately everything went black. Lily found herself back in the room.

"Liam, Malik!" she called softly.

One after another, Liam and the others regained consciousness, and all eyes fixed on Lily.

"Beauty! How are you? We all suddenly fell asleep; it must have been the handiwork of that female. I told you she had ill intentions. Beauty, don't play with her again!" Liam immediately appeared beside Lily, hugging her like a child.

Lily rubbed her nose. "Err, she really has no ill intentions. Why are you so guarded against her?" she asked.

"Because she's a female," Liam replied simply.

Lily's mouth hung open, and she cast him a glance.

"Where is she?" Art's cold voice resonated.

"Um... she left already," Lily replied.

"Hmph! She did something bad and fled. It's better that she runs immediately; if not, I would have taught her some lessons," Liam said through gritted teeth.

Lily rolled her eyes. "Chill, guys, no need to be so guarded. Really, she means no harm towards me," she assured. "Also, once Angus is back, we will relocate," she announced.

The atmosphere in the room lightened immediately. "Angel, will you visit my tribe?" Malik's eyes shimmered with excitement, and in the next moment, he appeared beside Lily.

"Angel, will you visit my tribe? The dragon queen has wronged you in the past, but I promise that we will avoid her, and you won't see her at all." Art commented.

"Angel, I can't take you to my tribe, but I can take you to my snow territory. You've been there before, and you liked it. We can go back there," Grant exclaimed in excitement.

Lily sighed and noticed that Liam hadn't spoken. She looked at him and found him with a sour expression on his face. "Liam," she called. "Are you alright?" She questioned worriedly.

Liam turned to Lily, his gaze devoid of life and filled with bitterness and heartache. He placed his head on Lily's chest, hugging her tightly to seek comfort. "Beauty, I don't have a tribe," he murmured, his voice heavy with heartbreak.

Lily's heart softened, and she rubbed his head affectionately. "Don't feel bad, okay? You have us," she comforted.

A smile appeared on Liam's face, and he remained silent.

"Alright, everyone, let's discuss the change of location after Angus is back and once the winter season is over," Lily remarked, patting Liam's head affectionately.

Everyone nodded in response.

"Beauty, let's play that truth or dare game!" Liam suddenly declared, looking up at Lily with excitement.

Lily opened her mouth to respond, but before she could utter a sound, Grant's chilling voice interrupted.

"We are not playing! I disagree. The last time we played, Art ended the game by caging Angel with himself all day. You surely have no good intentions now that you suddenly brought up the idea," he commented.

Lily's mouth twitched. "What does he mean by that statement?" she thought, a blush creeping onto her face.

"I just want to play a game; I have no other intentions," Liam softly murmured.

Grant cast Liam a glance. "All I know is that we are not playing the game," he insisted.

"I..."

"Alright, alright, it's getting dark. Let Angel sleep," Art interjected.

Lily lightly rubbed her nose. "Err, I will sleep early," she commented.

Liam immediately prepared a space for Lily to sleep. "I will hug you to sleep," he declared.

Before he could embrace Lily, he was suddenly held back by Art. "I am warm too; I will hug her to sleep," Art retorted.

"Don't be like this! I am clearly younger than you; I'm the youngest in this house. Let me seek Beauty's comfort," Liam argued, blinking innocently.

Lily fought hard to hide her chuckles. "Goodness, Liam, you really are something; your acting skills are superb," she thought inwardly.

"You being the youngest changes nothing. Since you are the youngest, shouldn't you be the most innocent? There's no need for you to hug her to sleep; I will do that," Malik countered.

"Hello! You can't make her sleep comfortably; I have wings! They can not only keep her warm but can also help her sleep comfortably," Grant's voice echoed with a hint of arrogance in his tone.

"Don't be bullies; this is unfair!" Liam lamented.

"Get lost!" Art flung Liam away with a swift motion, and thanks to his special skills as a fox, he maintained his balance and didn't get injured.

Art was just about to take the position beside Lily when Malik grabbed him. "Sorry, but I will sleep with Angel today," he declared.

Soon, a fight broke out among the four, and Lily kept yawning as she watched them take turns fighting for the position beside her. "Even Malik, the one I thought was the only gentle one among them, is just like the rest," she thought, yawning again as her eyes slowly closed.

"Make sure you extinguish the candle when you all are ready to sleep," she murmured, adjusting herself into a comfortable position before drifting off.

Seeing that Lily was asleep, Liam and the others calmed down, and for the longest time, no one spoke.

Silently, Malik moved to the candle and extinguished it, instantly enveloping everything in darkness.

"Let me sleep with Beauty; she will feel cold," Liam whispered softly, afraid that his voice would disrupt Lily's slumber.

All eyes turned to Liam, and he quickly fell silent.

Everyone gazed at the sleeping Lily, and like the wind, they all suddenly gathered beside her, two holding her from the front and two holding her from behind.

Even though it was not particularly comfortable, they preferred to endure it rather than not hold Lily at all. In that way, the family of five slept peacefully.

...

After everyone had completely drifted off, the ring on Lily's finger glowed softly, and Star emerged. Her expression was no longer as playful as it always was; she looked completely different from her usual self. The air around her was freezing cold, and her eyes held an icy gaze. Her attention fell on Lily, and after confirming that she was entirely asleep, she suddenly vanished into thin air, leaving no trace of her presence behind.
