Lily's mouth opened wider in shock; her jaw dropped, and she found it hard to close her mouth. The news was just too shocking to take in.
"I...I...I know when I got Angus's powers, but as for Webby and Art, when did that happen?" she inquired.
"Oh," Star's smile widened. "Art probably shared his powers with you when you both were having sex. As for Webby, that guy is kind of weird. I can't tell how he transferred his powers to you, but with the disturbance I felt while am asleep, I can guess it's because it was the first time you both met each other." She explained, "His powers are not just powers; they're also poisonous, a power similar to Angus's. Your blood was pure, and mixing a little poison in it shouldn't have been interpreted. But because I'm inside the space ring, I was turned into this. I almost lost my life in the space ring if not for my special abilities—poor me," she shook her head pitifully.
"You mean you gained this black skin because of the fusion of poison with my blood?"
"Nope, I gained this black skin all because you didn't inform me before accepting someone else's power. If you wanted to kill me that badly, you could at least show some mercy and tell me. I would have prepared myself," Star lamented, growing annoyed.
Lily rolled her eyes. "It's not like I knew he gave me his powers; it was unintentional," she clarified.
"I have this ugly skin, thanks to you," she hissed.
"It's not as bad as you make it sound, little Star."
"Oh please, I love my natural appearance more than this nonsense; it makes me look no different than those ugly female beasts."
Lily chuckled. "Right, I want to tell you this: I think I can see the future. At first, I thought I could see thousands of miles away, but now, with Berry issue, I think it's not that I can see things thousands of miles away—it's actually the future. I can see what will happen before it happens," she reported.
Star, who was still playing with the stars, suddenly paused and sat up properly on the bed, her eyes fixed on Lily as if she was trying to determine whether she was lying or not. "You are not trying to crack up jokes, are you?" she inquired after failing to get any information from Lily's eyes.
Lily nodded her head immediately. "I'm not joking and I'm serious," she responded. "Also, before I went to Berry's house, I saw a vision that she was in great pain in the process of giving birth, which is why I immediately headed to her house. Though the scene didn't happen immediately when I got there, a similar thing occurred later," she elaborated.
Star's brows knitted tightly, and she stared longer at Lily once again. "No wonder why I think it's considencial, it's actually that You can foresee the future!" she murmured. "Did Webby give you something else aside from his powers?" she probed.
Lily shook her head in response.
Star's brows knitted even tighter. "Did you make contact with any of his herbs?" she questioned.
Lily nodded her head. "That's right, I took some herbs from him," she replied.
"Herbs that seem to be far different from the ones outside?"
"That's correct. While Berry was busy with the outside herbs, I went deeper inside."
Star's knitted brows settled instantly. "So that's it; one can read minds, and the other can predict the future," she murmured. "It's not that you can't see things thousands of miles away; in fact, if you want to see things millions of miles away, you definitely can." She continued, "Webby has been taking care of those herbs for years. The outside herbs are harmless, but the inside herbs contain most of his poisons. They can kill or make people stink for the rest of their lives, but that stench depends on intent. If you intend to kill someone, the herb can kill immediately, but if you have no ill intent, it will make someone stink very badly, but that will only happen as long as one eats it. That's not the main point. The key point is that you must have accidentally spilled your blood on the mate herb that was hidden among the herbs, forcing a connection between the two of you and granting you the ability to see miles away and foresee the future," she elaborated.
Lily's mouth hung open, and for the longest time, she didn't know what to say. "No wonder why Liam mother and his son stink so badly" she mused to herself. "But I didn't..." she replied. "I didn't get injured at all, much less split blood."
Star stood up. "But you feel dizzy and lost consciousness?" she inquired.
"That's correct," Lily acknowledged.
Star suddenly appeared beside Lily and grabbed her arm, her eyes sparkling, and like a witch, she flew in front of Lily while still holding her arm. "Let's go back to the time and fix the puzzle," she whispered.
"Huh? How?" Lily asked.
"With the powers within you, you can go back to the past but can't change it. I just calculated it; you can only stay an hour there, but since I will go with you, we can only remain for thirty minutes. You must try not to let your consciousness slip, or else we both are doomed," she explained.
Lily smiled awkwardly. "Err... look, I still hope to go back to my world. It's better not to risk my safety. As long as I'm still alive and living well, there's still hope. It's better to be safe than sorry," she responded.
Star's mouth twitched, and she let go of Lily's arm. "Better to be safe than sorry. This will be the second time you repeat this. Can you please act bold at least for once?" She rolled her eyes.
"Are you kidding me? Act bold by risking my life? I am trapped here, and there's still no sign that I will return home. If I were to be trapped in the past, isn't that double suffering?" Lily retorted.
"There's a chance for you to return to your world once; you were the one who gave up the chance."
"To stay there for one hour is called a chance?"
"Two hours!" Star corrected.
"What's the difference? I'm talking about staying in my world permanently. All this kind of power and the stuff are just too frightening. And here you are, advising me to go back to the past. Even if it's the last option left for my unanswered questions, I would rather leave them unanswered." She folded her arms together.
A mocking smile appeared on Star's face. "Oh... our Lily is even scared," she jeered.
"I'm a human girl; naturally, I will be scared," Lily scoffed.
