So you know you are worthless, yet you dare criticize someone else? I will drop dead if I ever accept a male like you!" Lily snapped.
The six-tailed fox gritted his teeth. "What's so good about him?" He fumed in anger. "And I will let you watch him die today!" he shouted, preparing to attack. Suddenly, the air froze, as did the ground.
"You seem to have ignored my presence," Grant's cold voice echoed. His hands grew sharp nails, his eyes were icy, and his ashy hair was being blown by the cold wind. Everything seemed to fall under his control.
Looking at Grant, the six-tailed fox was terrified, and the others were shivering in fear.
"Level... he... he has reached the last level of power!" the six-tailed fox exclaimed.
Lily stared at Grant, still in shock from the terrifying aura he was releasing.
"Why don't you take Liam away first? This guy is really dying," Star's voice brought Lily back to reality.
Lily looked at Liam, who was in her embrace in a weak state. His wide-open eyes had started to close, and he looked like he had no more strength to fight death.
"Grant, leave them for now. Let's leave here immediately; Liam is weakening!" Lily's panicked scream echoed.
Grant, who had been ready to deal with the six-tailed fox and the others, halted his actions and glanced back at Lily. Seeing her panicked expression, he didn't waste any time and immediately shifted into his beast form.
Lily climbed onto his back, and they flew up into the sky.
Below, the six-tailed fox gritted his teeth together. "Why is it always you who gets lucky? Even after being chased out of the tribe, your good fortune still follows you. All this will only end once your life is over, and I will become that beautiful female mate!" he thought with determination as he retreated.
In a wilderness, Grant slowly landed on the ground, carefully dropping Lily. He transformed back into his human form, plucking a few leaves, squeezing them, and forcing them into Liam's mouth. "He will regain some of his strength with the leaves; he won't die," he assured her, noticing Lily's sad face.
Lily nodded, hugging Liam tightly. "You must be fine, Liam," she murmured.
Grant wasn't used to seeing Lily sad, so he stretched out his hand and caressed her face. "Don't be sad; I will be sad if you are sad," he spoke softly.
Lily smiled lightly and gave him a nod, resting her head on his broad shoulder as she slowly drifted into sleep.
After a long, near-darkening time, Liam finally opened his eyes. The first thing he did was search for Lily, and only after seeing her did he finally feel at ease. He quietly slipped away from her embrace and checked his body.
The scars had all healed, and his four tails posed no trouble. Happiness spread through him, and he attempted to transform into his human form; however, that was where the problem lay. The more he tried, the more he felt agonizing pain. Heartbroken, he bounced back into Lily's arms, seeking comfort and sniffing her sweet scent.
He seemed to be enjoying himself, resting his head against her chest. Just as he did, another scent, one that didn't belong to Lily, caught his attention. He sniffed her breast again to confirm whether he was imagining things, but it wasn't just a figment of his imagination. He winced pitifully and pulled down Lily's dress with his paws, revealing the hawk tattoo. His eyes widened in anger.
Lily was deep in sleep when she felt the cold breeze brush against her skin. She slowly opened her eyes, only to be met with Liam's pitiful gaze.
"Liam, are you okay now?" she asked immediately.
Liam didn't reply; his eyes filled with tears almost instantly.
Lily was stunned, about to ask him what was wrong when she felt a chilling sensation. She looked down and saw her left breast exposed. Shocked, she quickly covered it. "What on earth is wrong with you?!" she exclaimed.
"Beauty... beauty didn't want me anymore!" Liam screamed inwardly, heartbroken, as tears began streaming down his face, his gaze fixed on Lily.
Lily was completely at a loss and blinked repeatedly in confusion. "What... what's the matter?" she asked calmly.
More tears escaped from Liam's eyes. "Angus was the first; I thought I would be the second. But you allowed him to be the second! His mate mark is in the spot I wanted mine to be!" he lamented, continuously pointing at Grant and Lily's breast to express his thoughts.
Somehow, Lily roughly understood Liam's explanation and couldn't help but feel bad. "Damn it, why is the situation always against you? He will definitely think that I'm dangling him on purpose," she thought, biting her lower lip.
"Just pretend you don't understand, is there a need to panic?" Star annoyed voice echoed.
"Ah, good idea," Lily replied and dragged Liam closer. "How is your injury? Let me check," she said, putting on a serious expression.
Liam's heart broke even more as he tried to express himself better. However, Lily didn't give any sign of understanding him, which made him feel even more sour inside. "Forget it. Perhaps she's really considering whether I can be her mate," he thought, tears rolling down his face.
A drop of his tears hit Lily's hand; it felt extremely hot, full of pain from his heart. Lily's eyes were fixed on Liam, and her heart began to race.
"Liam, are you angry?" she inquired, and in response, Liam shook his head.
Lily sighed. "I know you must be feeling unfair right now, but I swear to you that it wasn't my intention at all. The situation just led to this. I promise you that you will be the third," she vowed.
Liam's eyes widened as he locked his gaze with Lily's.
"I'm serious; I promise you," Lily assured.
Liam wiped his tears away and hugged her. "I know you are different from other females," he thought.

"I have good news for you, Lily," the star's voice sounded.
"What good news?" Lily inquired.
"The good news is one but divided into two parts."
"??"
"Well, the first part is that your strong love for your mate, Liam, saved him from being a dead man already, and the second part... I don't know why, but there's a sudden split in space, so you can pass my kingdom to visit your world."
"Really!" Lily's happiness bloomed immediately.
