Noll's face was now pale, and she was losing consciousness. "Please... please... please," she stammered.
Devin wasn't ready to let her go, and instead, his hand tightened around her neck. Just as he was about to finish her off, a huge bear rushed toward him, catching his attention. He mercilessly threw Noll away and dodged the bear's attack.
Several bears immediately surrounded Noll, all of them transforming into their human forms.
"Are you alright, Noll?" everyone asked in a panic.
Noll looked at them, tears wells up in her eyes. "I... I'm fine," she stammered, coughing repeatedly.
"Hey! Hurting a female! What do you think you are doing?!" one of the men exclaimed angrily.
Devin folded his arms, looking at all of them emotionlessly.
"He wasn't chosen by any female yet, but he's this arrogant. No wonder no female wants you. You will never become a female's mate in your life!" another male cursed angrily.
