Chapter 113 - Oscar

Somewhere unknown, inside a simple-looking room.

A young, handsome male with beautiful, glowing long golden hair sat beside Lily, who was lying unconscious on the bed, blood tears still flowing from her closed eyes. His gaze, filled with tenderness, was fixed on her, looking at her as if she were some kind of eye-opening treasure.

He gently moved closer and touched her neck. "It's about to complete," he murmured, and just after his words, Lily's neck softly glowed in gold.

"No," the male whispered, his unique eyes shimmering as his gaze fell on Lily's shoulder. He gently caressed it, tearing the fabric that concealed her shoulder, then declared, "It should be here." He tapped her shoulder, and just after his statement, the glow on Lily's neck slowly moved to her shoulder. Softly, something began to emerge there; it was black and thick, like ink. Once it took shape, it transformed into a moon, the blackness fading instantly and being replaced with gold. It was so beautiful that anyone would fall in love with it at first sight.

"I've finally become your mate, Angel," he breathed, his unique eyes gradually matching her golden hue.

He leaned forward and gently pressed a kiss to her lips. "Wake up," he murmured, staring intently at her.

The room lay in silence, the handsome male's gaze still fixed on Lily without blinking. Suddenly, the blood tears escaping her eyes ceased before vanishing entirely, and Lily slowly opened her beautiful blue eyes, which flashed gold for an instant before settling.

Her eyes locked with the male's, and she was stunned for a long moment, wanting to speak but unsure of what to say.

"Who are you?" she finally inquired, her expression neutral.

The handsome male smiled, leaning forward again to kiss her. After pulling away, he grinned. "Call me Oscar," he replied, a radiant smile illuminating his face, making him look even more breathtakingly charming.

"Oscar?" Lily's brows knitted slightly. "You just kissed me. Do we have any relationship?" she questioned.

Oscar chuckled softly. "I just became one of your mates," he confessed honestly.

Lily regarded him with a confused expression.

Oscar sighed, gently moving away to help her sit up on the bed. "Do you remember the scene before you fell unconscious?" he asked.

Lily stared at him, her brows furrowed as she tried to recall the past, but no matter how hard she focused, she couldn't remember anything. She looked at Oscar and shook her head.

"What happened?" she asked.

Oscar gazed at Lily for a long moment before finally shaking his head. "Nothing," he replied. "You just woke up. Let me take you out," he offered, extending his hand for her to take.

Lily looked at him for a moment before accepting his hand. As their fingers intertwined, they vanished from the room and reappeared in another stunning location.

Oscar led Lily to a breathtaking garden filled with vibrant flowers and lively little creatures. The scene captivated her, leaving her momentarily speechless as she took a step forward.

"This place is…," she murmured, overwhelmed by the beauty surrounding her.

Oscar smiled, wrapping his arms around her from behind. "This is the gift I prepared for you. Do you like it?" he asked, his voice warm and inviting.

Lily remained silent, her gaze dropping to the hands enveloping her waist before she nodded. "It's beautiful," she acknowledged, her heart swelling with admiration.

"Will you stay with me here?" Oscar suddenly asked.

Lily's brows furrowed again, and she turned to face him, a serious expression on her face. "Why are you asking me this out of the blue? Is there something you're not telling me?" she questioned.

Oscar chuckled softly, pulling Lily into his embrace once more. "There is indeed something I don't want you to know yet. Please, don't ask what it is. I truly won't tell you," he replied playfully.

Lily rolled her eyes and folded her arms. "Where are we? This place feels different, unlike anywhere I've been before," she remarked.

"Well… this is my home in the sky," Oscar replied with a sweet smile gracing his handsome face.

"People build houses in the sky too? Aren't you dreaming?" Lily replied skeptically. "Forget it, I don't have time for this," she said, turning her back to him to admire the flowers.

Oscar's expression froze. "I'm not kidding," he insisted gently.

"Whatever."

"Won't you ask who I am?"

"You just introduced yourself as Oscar," Lily responded without looking at him. She bent down, reaching for a particularly beautiful flower, but Oscar's alarmed voice echoed through the garden.

"Careful!" he exclaimed, and in just a blink, he had already wrapped his arms around Lily. Just then, the flower she had tried to touch suddenly grew thorns and scratched Oscar's back.

Lily was stunned. "What the hell?" she cursed, looking at the flower as it returned to its original charming state.

"You can't touch them; you can only admire them. The flowers here are harmful. I'm sorry I couldn't find less harmful ones," Oscar apologized.

Lily's jaw dropped open. "Why do you sound like this is a fantasy? Don't make it sound scary! Come on, let me treat your wound," she remarked with a bored tone.

Oscar wanted to respond, but Lily suddenly covered his mouth with her hand. They were so close that they could hear each other's heartbeats.

"Let me see your wound," Lily insisted, forcing Oscar to turn his back to her.

"Huh! Why aren't there any scars on your body?" Lily questioned in confusion, checking again. "I clearly saw it scratch you," she muttered.

"Wait a second," Oscar replied, picking up the thorny flower and intentionally scratching his back with it. After successfully making a wound, he threw it away and turned his back to Lily. "Now there's a wound," he remarked.

Lily was stunned, her mouth hanging open speechlessly. "Why... are you sick or something?" she exclaimed angrily.

Oscar looked at Lily with an innocent and confused expression on his face. "What did I do, wife?" he inquired.

Lily was even more irritated. "You're still asking me what you've done? What's the meaning of your actions just now?" Her brows knitted tightly.

It took Oscar a long moment to realize that Lily was talking about the wound he had created for himself. "Dang! I messed up!" He slapped his forehead.
