Chapter 103 - I Miss Your Lips More

Devin's brows knitted, and he was ready to defend himself when suddenly, he was blown away by Grant's punch.

It was unexpected, and everyone didn't foresee the outcome; Lily was the most stunned, her expression frozen.

Devin spat out blood, his gaze turning cold instantly, and a murderous aura surged within him. His eyes shifted colors immediately as he stood up, ready for war.

Grant's wings wove in excitement, and he flew towards Devin. "Die!" he shouted, aiming another punch at him. But this time, Devin was already prepared as all the ice suddenly fell under his command and blocked Grant's attack.

Grant was taken aback, and his anger flared even more. The ice snow stood behind him, and they all transformed into ice blades. With a single thought, they flew towards Devin.

Devin's brows knitted again, and he immediately dodged the attack, but an ice shard pierced through his skin, drawing out blood.

Devin was enraged. "You actually injured this mighty one!" His voice dropped, sounding cold and different. The gaze he now fixed on Grant was that of a monster looking at its prey, his expression frozen of any emotion as he didn't hold back.

He was standing alone when suddenly the snow started melting into water.

Grant's brows furrowed as he observed the ice, now melting. "You are crossing your limits!" he barked and flew towards Devin.

Devin merely stood there, a cold smile on his face as he watched Grant move closer.

Lily, still stunned, suddenly noticed that her vision was now golden, and she saw Grant being killed with long ice shackles in his chest.

Her heart raced, and she blinked, causing the vision to vanish. She looked at Grant as he approached Devin, who remained in his original spot with a cold smile on his face.

"Stop!" like a gust of wind, she vanished from where she stood and appeared between the two of them.

Seeing who had interrupted the fight, Devin's expression froze as he immediately dragged Lily away while Grant diverted his attack, directing it elsewhere.

Suddenly, a thorny ice shackle grew out of the ground. If Grant hadn't diverted his blow and lodged it at Devin, the ice shackle would have pierced through him.

The atmosphere became icy, and all eyes were fixed on the ice shackle that had suddenly emerged from the ground, jaws dropped in shock.

Grant was the most stunned.

"Angel... Am... I... I am sorry. I... I... I didn't want to fight... I swear! I... I didn't intend to hurt him... I just don't know what came over me! Please forgive me... please," Devin cried, hugging Lily tightly as if she would flee.

Lily remained silent.

"Get lost!" Angus's angered voice echoed as he sent Devin flying with his tail, then immediately dragged Lily to himself. "Are you fine, Angel? Do you remember us?" he questioned, panic evident in his tone.

Lily remained silent.

"Beauty!" Liam rushed forward in panic, holding Lily's hand. "Beauty!, Beauty!, say something," his voice was filled with concern.

Lily was still silent.

"Angel!" Art, Webby, and Malik called in worry.

"What happened to my Angel?" Grant rushed forward, feeling a pang in his heart.

Star, who had been shivering from the cold, stopped; even the sack she used to cover herself fell off, and her gaze was fixed on Lily. "It's not happening again, right?" she murmured, her heart racing as worry etched her face.

Lily remained silent for a long time, then blinked. "I'm fine, just a little shocked," she finally spoke.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and Angus looked at Devin as if he could kill someone.

"Angus," Lily called, noticing his glare.

Angus looked back at Lily and lowered his head slightly.

"Angel, I'm... I'm sorry!" Devin hugged Lily's leg, tears streaming down his face.

"It's not your fault," Lily replied after a sigh. "Grant picked a fight with you first, making you lose control of your temper; it's fine," she reassured him.

Devin raised his head and looked at Lily.

Lily flashed him an assuring smile. "It's really fine," she responded, helping him up. Her gaze fell on Grant. "What has gotten into you, huh?" she scolded, hands on her hips.

Grant scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "I was just trying to test his capability, that's all," he explained.

Lily regarded him as if looking at a disobedient child. "Apologize," she commanded.

Grant raised his brows. "Why should I be the one to apologize? He almost killed me not long ago!" he protested.

"You," Lily pointed at him.

"Angel, I just woke up. Don't you miss me at all?" Grant immediately changed the topic.

"I didn't miss you at all, not even a tiny bit," Lily snapped, folding her arms together.

Grant suddenly clenched his chest, his brows knitted, and then he fell to the ground heavily.

"Grant!" Lily was stunned, and in just a blink, she appeared beside him. "What happened to you, Grant? What's wrong?" she questioned in panic, touching his chest, worry slowly etching onto her face.

A smile slowly appeared on Grant's face as he grasped Lily's hand. "I suddenly got shot in the heart because you said you didn't miss me at all. It hurt so much," he replied, blinking innocently.

Lily's heart raced faster. "You...you," she stammered, and then lightly hit his chest. "You are unbelievable; you scare me, you know?" she frowned, her brows knitting together.

Grant pulled Lily closer to himself. "I know, and I'm so sorry, but what can I do? You just said you don't miss me at all; I'm the one who hurts more," he declared, looking at her with a pitiful expression.

Lily's heart raced faster. "I... you should know that I was merely kidding; I didn't mean it," she replied.

"You miss me?"

Lily nodded.

"Very much?"

"Of course."

Grant smiled and leaned forward. "I miss you, but... I miss your lips more," he chuckled before capturing her lips immediately.

Lily's eyes widened, but she submitted; her fists clenched tightly as she closed her eyes.

Grant was enjoying the moment and pulled Lily on top of himself, allowing the kiss to deepen.

Liam clenched his jaw, ready to leap forward and intervene when, out of nowhere, a wall of ice surged upward, obscuring their view and preventing any chance of separation.
