Chapter 1 - The Colliding

He was dying that much he could tell.

How could he tell?

*BANG

"AHHHH!"

A flash of light and a scream marked the day time as blood stained the pavement.

In the streets of a random city located in a corner of a world with no corners, a body flew through the air.

His body.

The body of Tristan Parsifal, the descendants of people who had no time to spare.

It made sense though.

Since time spent is never gained back, time is the most valuable commodity of all.

It isn't for nothing that people from all sorts of walks of history tried to extend their life like the Chinese Emperor's searching far and wide for the elixir of immortality.

Hell, how else do you think the story of the fountain of youth came up?

But that's besides the point.

The point was that time was money and Tristan was going bankrupt.

'I really shouldn't have agreed to that loan.'

A rather morbid thought when he had just saved a life, but he had all the time in the world... Sorta.

'Who would've thought that my half assed will would come in handy?'

Mentally denoting that the will that he had made when he was younger under a dare, Tristan still didn't remember what he and his friends were on, would result in his precious memorabilia be spread to his friends, Tristan felt nostalgic.

Mostly because he was on the verge of life and death, but still.

Slightly spinning around in the air, Tristan soon turned around one more time to see the face of his killer.

Well not exactly a face per se since truck's were more of a whole body, but it was the person driving the truck that he wanted to stare down at until death.

Funny thing is, it seems that the driver wasn't as sober as he had thought.

'Well what are the odds that the one drunk driver I thought I encountered resulted in my death.'

*Thump

Slamming into the ground in the slowed down world of his, the world itself continued to slowly move around in Tristan's perception as his mind and body worked overtime to keep himself alive.

'I understand my heart that you want to keep indulging my thinking but...'

The problem was that there wasn't much the body could do against a 70 ton metal beast flying down the road at 60 miles an hour.

But if it could then Tristan would formally apologize, the problem was that the chances of that happening were so slim that they may as well not exist.

Tristan's eyes blurred before regaining clarity and blurring again, mixing his surroundings into one unrecognizable blob of colour as his body rolled around on the pavement.

And even the colour was dulling, turning the world into one that's black and white.

'At the rate you're going, you're going to pump out all of my blood.'

Feeling the sensation leave his body starting from the arms and legs, Tristan inwardly laughed to himself.

'Oh heart, you were always on my side pumping away and keeping me alive, but you should probably stop before I die faster from blood loss...'

Tristan's sight became blurry as his heart unsuccessfully pumped blood to his brain.

'...I wonder... what would've happened if I didn't decide to save that dog and their owner'

Feeling his grasp on consciousness slowly fly away, Tristan could vaguely hear the truck slowly rush away with blood on its exterior as a mixture of barks and shouts entered his ears.

'I'm actually the one who's underwater though...'

Sinking deeper and deeper into the black lake known as oblivion, a sudden clarity struck Tristan Parsifal right in the skull.

From the day he was born and light penetrated his eyes, time quickly flew by to all the major events in his life.

From when he was six his parents left him to a nanny as they suddenly had to deal with a backlog of work leaving behind a child who still didn't know everything.

When he was ten, his Dad took time out of his busy schedule and taught him how to shoot all types of gun with some of the more memorable ones being the anti material rifle that went through material and the Rocket launcher that blew up a building.

When he was twelve, his mother took time out of her busy schedule and showed him the world of food, teaching him all of the ways to make food, whether that be fancy dishes that were severely overpriced or plain old spit roasting, she taught them all.

When he was fourteen and a Teenager, his nanny caught him... doing things... On second thought this wasn't so significant.

When he was eighteen, he entered a semi prominent college and learnt engineering from the best of the best and made friends with several others who shared an unnecessary amount of information that would go on to make absolutely no impact on his life besides taking up mental capacity.

When he was twenty he made a will due to a dare created under dubious circumstances alongside the 60 seconds in heaven with a school crush.

A rather smoky time and an awkward next day when his Nanny found out he didn't make his way home as the school crush may or may not have declared they were dating.

All the way to he the age he currently was at the fine age of twenty one.Fragmented pictures of his reality suddenly streaming through his mind at a rapid pace like an old film, Tristan chuckled derisively as he noticed one thing.

'And to think graduation day was tomorrow'

Thinking back to the set of clean dried graduation clothes waiting still in his room, Tristan suddenly wondered.

'So what happens next?'

Body now about to finish its death roll after having all of its bones rocked and turned into a fine dust, Tristan stared up at the grey sky as light soon seemed to fade from his vision.

Shadows creeped up from all around him as they slowly cling to his clothes and skin, dyeing them black.

Swallowing his body whole, only the lifeless body of Tristan Parsifal was left behind bleeding out on the pavement as the sound of sirens sounded out in the city.

Not that it mattered since the culprit responsible for killing the son of some very important people had somehow disappeared, causing all leads to turn up in dead ends and smoke.

And the only signs that the drunk driver actually existed lay in the broken boys of the man named Tristan Parsifal who had died on the day of Hallow's eve.

Except... did he really die?

Underneath the sea a lively ecosystem hidden underneath the tumultuous seas revealed itself as the sun pierced the blue veil that was the surface and lit up the coral city hidden underneath the waves.

Octopi hid in their small alcoves, snapping at the odd fish as Barracuda's burst out of their hidey holes in the coral allowing the crabs scuttle by underneath their twisted and shining gem like shells.

Large shoals of fish entered the clusters of coral as they fed on the plankton and algae growing at the sediment, snapping at small microscopic beings as larger beings ate them.

But lying in the middle of these coral ruins was a shipwreck.

Wooden hull carved up and torn apart by unknown forces, scars from various sea beasts covered the broken ship in ripped apart holes revealing the innards of the sunken beast.

Skeletons lying about in the ship in various poses, they had been picked clean by the native sea life as they were now the home of sediment feeding sea life and various smaller crustaceans.

A small crab crawling out of a nearby skull, the ripped sails fluttered quietly in the sea as sunlight shone down on the vessel revealing everything there was to be seen.

Clothes turned into rags from the long passages of time, rusted over weapons mixed with the newly emerged ecosystem as rusty brown cannonballs slowly rolled to the side when disturbed.

Sparking a chain reaction, the now rotten wood gave way to reveal the innards of the inner hull lined with the same skeletons that were now covered in coral fragments.

And lying in the captain's quarters located underneath the wheel and by the stern was a headless skeleton.

Sitting on their chair that had been eroded by the passages of time, a sword had been stabbed into the middle of their chest, breaking apart their ribcage.

Ragged clothes adorned with various golden trinkets that hadn't been completely eroded by the sea, various navigational tools lay askew from the broken desk, revealing a map that seemed completely untouched by the passage of time.

Containing several markings on its body, the sunlight pierced the hold and focused on the map once again before a lantern suddenly lit up in the deep water.

Dark blue flame lighting up the rest of the dark captains quarters, small fish and crustaceans startled by the sudden flame hurriedly ran away.

A light blue covered the rest of the captains quarters revealing what was previously unseen as a figure that had merged with the skeleton revealed themselves.

Clothes being fixed by the flame and seemingly returning to its full form, the body of a woman slowly formed on top of the skeleton.

Light blue skin revealing itself from underneath the coat, flesh seemed to emerge from the depths of the coat as their skinless and sagging body gained volume.

Lots of it.

Coat billowing outwards as the naked body of a woman revealed itself wearing a coat and pants, the unbuttoned coat revealed a scar adorning their chest in the form of a dark blue spider.

Bones being covered by the flesh, a head slowly formed on the headless skeleton's neck, seemingly on the verge of revealing itself.

But just before it could, the vague manifestation of a head popped like a bubble.

A small sigh whistling through the ship, the skeletons in the ship rattled silently before falling silent again much to the relief of their inhabitants.

Body touching their neck that had been left unfinished and fragmented, if anyone were to look at the neck, they would realize it was as if someone had broken a vase as a line of cracks circled their neck revealing glowing blue innards.

Smoke diffusing into the sea, the light blue skinned woman's body slowly disappeared as the dark blue flame lighting up the room and revealing several animal heads, rusted weapons and accessories slowly went out.

But just before it did, the flame suddenly lit up with a ferocity unseen before as it slowly revealed the vague form of a man.

And that man's name went something like...

Tristan Parsifal
