Café Blue's dim lighting and soothing jazz music enveloped Jae-Hyun as he waited for Hae-Soo. His mind raced with possibilities. What could Hae-Soo want to discuss?
Hae-Soo burst through the door, a bright smile on his face. "Jae, sorry I'm late! Traffic was a nightmare."
Jae-Hyun waved it off. "What's this about? You sounded serious on the phone."
Hae-Soo leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper. "I've got some news. Our production company is casting for a new movie, and I think you'd be perfect for a supporting role."
Jae-Hyun's heart skipped a beat. A movie role? Was this his chance to revive his acting career?
"What's the movie about?" Jae-Hyun asked, trying to contain his excitement.
"It's a romantic drama. The director's looking for someone with raw talent, and I immediately thought of you."
Jae-Hyun's eyes widened. "Me? But I've been out of the game for years."
Hae-Soo's expression turned serious. "That's exactly why you need this. You've been stuck in that office for too long. This is your chance to shine again."
Jae-Hyun felt a surge of determination. He couldn't let this opportunity slip away.
"When are auditions?" Jae-Hyun asked, his voice firm.
"Next week. I'll send you the script and details. But, Jae, you need to promise me one thing."
"Anything," Jae-Hyun said, his eyes locked on Hae-Soo's.
"You have to give it your all. Leave everything on the stage. This is your second chance."
Jae-Hyun nodded, a fire igniting within him. He would not waste this opportunity.
"I promise," Jae-Hyun said, his voice filled with conviction.
