Jae-Hyun's heart still raced from Ji-An's enigmatic comment. "Make some magic happen on screen." Was she hinting at a romantic connection or simply enthusiastic about their potential on-screen chemistry?
Hae-Soo nudged him. "Earth to Jae! Director Min-Soo wants to see you again."
Jae-Hyun snapped back to reality. "Callback auditions?"
Hae-Soo nodded. "You're one step closer to landing the role."
The callback auditions took place at a luxurious studio. Jae-Hyun arrived early, rehearsing his lines. Ji-An entered, looking stunning in a fitted dress.
"Hey, partner," she said, smiling.
Jae-Hyun's nerves dissipated. "Hey, Ji-An. Ready to create some magic?"
Director Min-Soo introduced a new actor, Ji-Hoon Park, who would play the antagonist.
"Let's run some scenes," Director Min-Soo instructed.
Jae-Hyun and Ji-An's chemistry sparkled, but Ji-Hoon's presence added tension.
"Good job, everyone," Director Min-Soo said. "Jae-Hyun, Ji-An, I'd like to discuss your characters' backstory."
As they delved into character development, Jae-Hyun realized Ji-An's intensity was more than just acting.
"What drives your character?" Director Min-Soo asked Ji-An.
Ji-An's eyes clouded. "Pain. Loss. The need for redemption."
Jae-Hyun sensed a deep vulnerability beneath her polished exterior.
After the callback, Hae-Soo congratulated Jae-Hyun. "You're a shoo-in for the role!"
Jae-Hyun beamed, but his mind lingered on Ji-An's enigmatic words.
As they left the studio, Ji-Hoon approached Jae-Hyun. "You're quite the newcomer. Think you can handle the spotlight?"
Jae-Hyun's competitive spirit flared. "I'll give it my all."
