Chapter 11 - ----> Lighting fast chaos

As Adam activated his new skill, he could feel a tingling sensation on his skin. All his physical attributes were enhanced, especially his speed and perception.

Finally, Adam began looking for Alex, but as he tried to run, his speed was so fast that it was hard for him to control.

Even when he tried to walk slowly, his speed was faster than an average human running.

*Fuck, this is really hard to control. How was Taser using it so efficiently? I guess I have to practice a lot with it,* Adam thought, looking everywhere while running in hopes of catching a glimpse of Alex.

With his speed, he was quickly able to look around the arena, and before long, he saw a guard standing outside a room. He wore the same kind of suit as the man Alex had followed.

Adam quickly made his way to him. He tried to enter with his speed, but the guard punched Adam away.

The punch was strong, but Adam didn't feel anything because of his new skill.

"Ohhh, you're Adrenaline, the dick-biter. I saw your match, you're pretty insane," the guard said, laughing.

*He seems pretty dumb, maybe I can trick him into letting me in,* Adam thought, smiling at him.

"Ohh, you know me? Can you let me go inside? I actually have important matters to discuss with your boss," Adam said confidently, trying to make the guard believe his words.

"You think I'm stupid? The boss has instructed me not to let anyone in," the guard said, his demeanor completely changing.

He punched Adam, but Adam didn't even flinch. *Ohh, this lightning skill is really good,* Adam thought, tanking the blow.

"I suggest you leave immediately," the guard said, realizing he was weaker than Adam.

As Adam moved back, the guard was relieved, but using his explosive speed, Adam entered the room before the guard could react.

The room was dimly lit, and guards were all around, carrying guns in their hands. Because of the lighting, it was hard to make out the roof, but the floor was made of expensive marble. Alex was sitting on an expensive-looking couch in the middle of the room.

old man was sitting opposite him, with two guards right by his side.

"So, Alardo, why don't you sign up with our company and step back into the ring?" the old man was saying, but when he saw Adam enter, he suddenly went quiet.

"Oh, Mr. Adrenaline is here! I really didn't expect you to win today's match," he said, gesturing for his guards to keep an aim on Adam.

Hearing the old man speak, Alex looked back and was shocked to see Adam there.

"What the hell are you doing, and why are you glowing?" Alex asked, getting up from his seat, worried.

"Ohh, nothing, just a new skill I acquired," Adam said, trying to understand what was going on.

"You should leave; this is seriously not a place for you," Alex said, sounding depressed.

"Listen to him, kid, and get out," the old man said, laughing.

"I'm not gonna leave until you tell me what's going on," Adam said, grabbing Alex's shoulder and shaking him.

"Hey, kid, it's nothing serious, just Mr. Alardo here is gonna sign a contract with me," the old man said, laughing.

Adam looked at Alex, but Alex was just staring at the floor, trying to avoid Adam's intense gaze.

"Ale- Alardo, I'll leave, believing that you can handle the situation, but just remember, if you have any regrets later, it's gonna be your fault," Adam said, walking toward the exit.

"Stop! I need your help," Alex said, breaking down into tears.

"Say less. Do you want me to help you beat their ass?" Adam asked, stretching his arms.

The old man looked at Adam with a smirk before saying, "Mr. Alardo is gonna listen to everything I say."

Alex remained quiet, and Adam realized something was off about the situation, so he also stayed silent.

"Mr. Adam, you may take a seat. Also, tell your little friend to leave," the old man said, and Alex quietly followed his command like a dog and sat on the couch.

"Mr. Alardo, I think I also told you to tell your friend to leave," the old man said, putting pressure on Alex.

"Adam, please…" Alex said, tears dripping from his eyes. Adam was shocked to see Alex in such a state, but realizing how vulnerable Alex's situation was, he quietly left.

As he was leaving, he angrily punched the wall. "Fuck, Alex, you better not let someone like this boss you around."

The old man winced at Adam's words but quickly calmed himself down.

As Adam exited, the guard was shocked to see him coming out of the room.

"WTF, how did you get inside?" the guard asked, rubbing his eyes to make sure he was seeing right.

Adam ignored him and kept moving, still thinking about the situation. *Why was Alex following all of the old man's orders? There has to be something. He was also against coming here in the first place. I have to figure out what's going on.*

Adam quickly made his way through groups of people trying to talk to him and finally found the hole he'd created in the wall from punching earlier.

*Damn, I'm getting smart. Time to do some investigation,* Adam thought, peeking through the hole.

He adjusted his eye a little bit, finally being able to see Alex and the old man.

The old man was smiling the whole time. "I'll do whatever you say, just delete those pictures and tell your son to stay away from Ava," Alex said, slamming the table with his hands.

"Nope, I need those to make sure you stay obedient," the old man said, signaling for him to stay quiet.

Adam was furious as he heard Ava's name. He didn't know her well, but she was always kind to him, and Adam always thought of her as someone he cared deeply about.

Alex was quietly listening to the old man, trying his best not to upset him.

*WTF is Alex doing? If someone was threatening my sister in any way, I would have snapped their neck… Well, I shouldn't be the one speaking when I couldn't even save my sister, but I ain't letting anyone do anything to Ava,* Adam thought as he put his hand through the hole, widening it.

After his hand completely went inside, he grabbed a guard and pulled him back, smashing the wall.

Suddenly, the room was in chaos as no one knew what was happening. "Hey, Alex, what the fuck are you doing, man? Let's just quickly kill all these people. Why are you begging to them?"

"Shoot him! Shoot him down!" the old man screamed as all the guards began firing at Adam.

But Adam was fast. He dodged all the bullets, grabbed brick from the collapsed wall, and began throwing them with his speed and power, each brick was almost as fast as a bullet.

Upon making contact, the bricks completely smashed the skulls inside, splattering brains everywhere.

As more and more guards were hit, the room was filled with blood fountain.

Each guard exploded like a fountain, even Alex was shocked, seeing Adam so powerful.

The old man was so scared that he tried to sneak away, but Adam noticed him trying to run.

A single brick hit the old man in his chest, and he collapsed on the ground, blood leaking from his eyes.

Finally, after taking everyone down, Adam stopped and turned off his bio-electric enhancement skill. The room was covered in blood and organs, but ignoring all that, Adam made his way to Alex.

"Your new skill is really strong, but doesn't it tire you or something?" Alex asked, trying to make conversation.

"Nah, nothing, but I do feel weaker for some reason," Adam said, walking closer to him.

"Ohh, never mind. You look really thin. Maybe it uses fat. You should be careful using it," Alex said, his eyes locked onto Adam's.

As Adam finally stood in front of him, Alex's first instinct was to hug him, but he stopped midway. "Thank you," he said awkwardly.

"Bitch, don't thank me. Tell me what's going on. Why didn't you want to come to this place? I mean, I get it, nobody would want to come here, but you seemed more nervous than usual on our way here," Adam asked, hugging Alex.

"Sorry, I should have told you before we came here," Alex said, hugging him back.

Finally, both of them pulled away, and Adam looked at Alex as he finally began to speak.
