Chapter 131 - A Dangerous Proposition

Daemond's hands slid down to Mahnoor's waist, his grip tightening as his gaze turned darker, more intense. The room felt heavy with his presence, every word he was about to say brimming with something dangerous, something possessive.

He pulled her closer, so close that Mahnoor could feel his breath against her skin, and in a voice low and gravelly, he whispered, "Have my child."

Mahnoor's eyes widened, her heart pounding in her chest as his words sank in. She searched his face, confusion and shock flashing across her features. "What?" she managed to breathe out.

His hold on her tightened even more, almost as if he was afraid she would pull away. His grey eyes bore into hers with a desperation she hadn't seen before. "If you have my child, I'll know I'll never lose you..."

Mahnoor was stunned. Her lips parted, but no words came out. The weight of what he was suggesting hit her hard. This wasn't just a possessive declaration—it was something much more, something that bound them together in a way that went beyond anything they had ever spoken about before.

He continued, his voice rough with emotion, "I know I'm not enough for you sexually. I've seen the way you look at me, and I know you want more... but I can't give you that. Not in the way you need."

Mahnoor shook her head slightly, trying to process everything he was saying. "Daemond... having a child? That's not—"

"It's the only way I can keep you," he interrupted, his grip on her almost desperate now. "I know I can't satisfy you the way you want, but if you carry my child... you'll be mine forever. No one else will have you."

His words, full of raw vulnerability and fear of losing her, sent a shiver down her spine. Daemond wasn't just afraid of losing her to another man, he was afraid of losing her entirely—to her own desires, to something he felt he couldn't give her.

Mahnoor's mind raced. She felt a strange mix of emotions: a rush of power knowing how deeply Daemond wanted to keep her, but also a deep unease at the path he was suggesting. She reached up, gently placing her hands on his chest, feeling the tension in his body.

"Daemond," she said softly, trying to steady her voice, "having a child won't solve anything. You don't need to tie me to you like that. I'm here, with you, because I choose to be, not because of what you think you can or can't give me."

His grip loosened slightly, but his eyes were still locked on hers with that same intensity. "But what if I'm not enough? What if one day you walk away because I can't be what you need?" His voice cracked at the end, and for a brief moment, Mahnoor saw the depth of his insecurity, the fear that drove his every action.

She shook her head, brushing her thumb lightly across his chest. "You are enough for me, Daemond. This... this isn't about having a child. It's about trust. And I'm not going anywhere."

He looked at her, his breathing uneven, as if battling with himself. His hold on her loosened further, but his gaze remained intense, filled with uncertainty and longing.

Mahnoor stood on her toes, pressing a soft kiss to his lips, hoping to soothe the storm raging inside him. "We'll figure this out together. But not like this."

For the first time in a while, Daemond seemed to relax slightly, though his emotions still lingered in the air, unspoken and unresolved. They stood there, tangled in a moment of raw vulnerability, both uncertain of what the future held but unwilling to let go of each other.
