'But how do I convince him to be my sparring partner?' I thought, raising an eyebrow. Anyway, I decided to leave the thinking for tomorrow.
...
The next morning, I woke up, ate, and went back to my room.
'Okay, how should I go about this?'
Broly isn't inherently bad, at least not if we're talking about the Dragon Ball Super version. The real problem is his father, Paragus.
Broly was sent to Vampa because King Vegeta feared Broly's power would overshadow his own son's. Paragus swore to take revenge, but by the time he was rescued by two of Frieza's lackeys, King Vegeta and Planet Vegeta no longer existed.
Paragus still resents King Vegeta, so I have no idea how he would react to meeting another Saiyan, especially one who suddenly appeared on their planet. He might ask Broly to deal with me or send me away. I also don't know what would happen if I tried to reason with Broly while his father was still in charge.
'Why am I complicating this whole situation?' I thought. All I needed to do was head to Vampa and ask Broly to train with me. If he refused, then that's it.
Alright, that's exactly what I'll do. But first, there was something I needed to take care of since I came back.
"Mom, see you later!" I called as I headed out, using Kai Kai to teleport directly to Bulma's place. I had to admit, this ability was incredibly convenient.
I entered Capsule Corp and went straight to Bulma's lab.
"Hey, Bulma, how's it going?" I greeted her.
"Hey, Gohan! Already eager to train again?" she asked with a smile.
"Actually, not this time. I was wondering if you had a device I could use to stay in contact in case there's an emergency. If I'm off-planet and there's a problem that needs my attention, it could be difficult to return in time," I replied.
Bulma's eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "You know, I actually do! Let me grab it from my office." It seemed like she had already anticipated this need.
A few minutes later, she returned with a small round device. "This is a communicator that can contact anyone across the universe," she explained. "I developed it after we got back from Namek. It was really stressful being out there without a reliable way to communicate. I remember how nerve-wracking that was."
I couldn't help but chuckle at the memory of Bulma on Namek. The contrast between her back then, panicked and out of her element, and the composed, confident scientist she was now was amusing, but also a little bittersweet.
I took the device from her and thanked her. My next destination was New Namek, but this time, it was the future version. My plan was to ask Dende to become the new Kami of Earth.
So, that's exactly what I did. Luckily, when I arrived, things went pretty much the same way as they had in the past. Dende was the one to recognize me, and after a brief chat, I asked about the Namekian Dragon Balls. I thought I could maybe use them to wish for something useful, like the location of Planet Vampa, but unfortunately, they had already used them not too long ago.
'Damn, this is definitely rigged!'
Despite that setback, I asked Dende if he would be willing to become Earth's new Guardian, and he agreed without hesitation. With that settled, I used Kai Kai to teleport us back to Earth, directly to Kami's Lookout.
"Oh, Gohan, what brings you here?" Mr. Popo asked, but his eyes shifted as he noticed someone behind me.
"Gohan, who's that with you?" Mr. Popo asked curiously.
I grinned and said, "Well, this is the person who's going to be Earth's next Guardian!" I gestured for Dende to introduce himself.
Dende stepped forward, smiling. "My name is Dende. It's nice to meet you!" he said.
Mr. Popo nodded, clearly intrigued. I explained to Dende about Earth's Dragon Balls, and Dende asked if we had the original model of Shenron and the stone Dragon Balls, which were inactive.
"Yes, I kept them very carefully," Mr. Popo replied and quickly brought them out.
Dende reactivated the Dragon Balls, but then he gave me some disappointing news.
"Uh, Gohan... the Dragon Balls won't be available for at least 3 months," Dende said apologetically. "Since the original creator died so abruptly, when I infused them with my magic, it mixed with the previous owner's magic. This prevents me from fully reactivating them right away. I'm sorry..."
I sighed but gave Dende an understanding smile. "It's okay, Dende. You did your best."
Two setbacks in a row... It felt like the universe was conspiring against me.
I let out a sigh, thinking to myself, What should I do now? Suddenly, I remembered King Cold's ship and its database. Even though it didn't have information about Yardrat or New Namek, it might still have data on Vampa.
I made my way back to Capsule Corp. "Bulma, do you still have all the decrypted data from King Cold's ship?" I asked.
"Of course! It's all right here. Come on, let's check it out!" she replied, her enthusiasm contagious. I couldn't help but feel hopeful, though I reminded myself not to get too excited just yet—there was still work to be done.
Bulma led me to her computer and started typing, her fingers moving rapidly over the keys. I didn't understand much of what she was doing, but I trusted her expertise.
After a few moments, a result popped up—information regarding a hostile yellow planet.
"Is this what you were looking for?" Bulma asked, turning to me.
"YES! This is exactly it!" I shouted in excitement, and without even thinking, I picked Bulma up and spun her around. "Hahaha, you're the best!"
"G-Gohan, I get it! Put me down, please!" she said, blushing slightly, clearly embarrassed by the sudden attention.
I quickly put her down, scratching the back of my head sheepishly. "Haha, sorry, my bad. I guess I got a bit carried away."
Bulma smirked, rolling her eyes. "It's fine, really..." She then gestured back at the screen. "So, what do you plan on doing with this information?"
"Haha, I'm planning to train there. I needed the coordinates so I can teleport directly. Also, if you could provide me with some capsules, that would be great," I replied.
"Training, huh? Alright then," she said, nodding. "What kind of capsules do you need?"
"I'll need a small house, and lots of food and water," I answered.
Bulma shook her head with a smile. "I should have known—always planning to push yourself to the limit." She stood up, heading over to a cabinet filled with different types of capsules. "Alright, I'll get you sorted. Just promise me you'll take care of yourself out there, okay?"
I nodded with a smile. "Thanks, Bulma. I promise."
'Anyway, it wasn't even for me. They say the way to someone's heart is through their stomach, and for Saiyans, that statement holds even more truth,' I thought while waiting for Bulma to give me the capsules.
Bulma handed me the supplies—a small house capsule, plenty of food, and enough water for a long stay. I thanked her again before activating Kai Kai, focusing on the coordinates I had just obtained. In an instant, I was off to Planet Vampa.

Paragus' Point of View
In a hostile environment painted in shades of yellow, crawling with dangerous creatures, an older man stood near a battered ship. He wore a rugged outfit—blue shorts, armor, white gloves, and a frayed white scarf. A deep scar ran across his left eye, and an orange bag hung from his waist.
Paragus was struggling to work on the ship, desperately trying to fix it. But it was of no use. The years had taken their toll, and nothing he did seemed to make a difference.
"HAAAAAA!" Clang! He threw his tool at the broken ship in frustration, his scream echoing across the barren landscape.
"It has been thirty years... thirty damn years since we've been stuck on this forsaken planet. All because of him... BECAUSE OF THAT...!" His voice trailed off as the rage boiled over, his fists clenched tightly, shaking with hatred.
The resentment in Paragus' eyes was unmistakable. It had been festering for decades, ever since the day King Vegeta had banished his son and him to this desolate world. The old man could not let go of his fury. His sole purpose had been to find a way off this planet, to exact revenge, and yet here he was, still stranded, still powerless.
But what could he do? Saiyans couldn't even survive in space, so how could he possibly leave this damned forsaken planet? In those thirty years, not a single ship had passed by, not even a hint of one. It was a lost cause, this planet was in the middle of nowhere.
There were times he thought it might have been better to leave his son to rot here, but he couldn't do it. It wasn't just about pride. King Vegeta, jealous of his son's potential, had sent him to this faraway world. Yes, Saiyans were never known to be family people, but he was still his son. How could he have left him here, in this hostile environment?
Since King Vegeta feared Broly's potential, Paragus had trained him relentlessly. But he also discovered something within his son—his anger. At first, he wondered if maybe, just maybe, King Vegeta had been right all along.
Paragus had eventually crafted a device designed to send electrical pulses to Broly whenever his rage became too dangerous. There had been an incident where Broly almost killed him, and that was why Paragus' left eye was missing.
Suddenly, an enemy appeared behind Paragus—a typical occurrence on this hostile planet.
"BROLY!" Paragus shouted his son's name, and almost immediately, a flash of movement cut through the air. Broly appeared, his kick connecting with the creature and sending it crashing into the rocks. The sheer force of the blow caused the monster to explode on impact.
"Good, Broly. Your reflexes are sharp," Paragus said with a nod of approval. His son remained silent, only nodding in acknowledgment.
With that dealt with, they moved on to their next task—finding something to eat. Since the planet offered no edible animals or fresh water, they were forced to consume the gross, parasite-like monsters that lived there and drink the liquid extracted from their limbs. It was a harsh way to live, but it was the only way they had survived all these years.
It didn't seem to bother Broly; he had never tasted real food or even drank clean water. To him, this was just the way things were, and he ate his fill without complaint.
After they finished eating, Paragus sat back, staring into the yellow landscape with a tired expression. There wasn't anything left for him to teach Broly, not for a long time now. The boy had surpassed his abilities years ago, growing stronger with every battle against the hostile creatures on this forsaken planet.
Paragus let out a sigh, glancing at Broly. "Do whatever you want, son," he said, his voice a mix of resignation and care. Broly simply nodded, his expression neutral, and without a word, he wandered off into the wilderness, his towering figure soon blending into the rugged terrain.
All Paragus could do was watch, as the only person he interacted with disappeared from view, left alone once more in the unyielding desolation of Planet Vampa.

Gohan's Point of View
"So this is Planet Vampa..." I muttered to myself as I arrived. The yellow sky stretched above, and the rocky, barren environment spread out in all directions. Hostile, disgusting creatures lurked in the shadows.
"This place is seriously depressing," I sighed, shaking my head. "If I were stuck here for 30 years, I'd probably go insane with rage too."
I focused my senses, picking up two distinct power levels far apart from each other. One of them was significantly stronger, definitely Broly. It was a relief that Broly wasn't with his father right now. This way, I could approach him without Paragus interfering or commanding Broly to capture me. Paragus would likely be suspicious and want answers immediately if he saw another person here.
I took a deep breath, preparing myself. 'Alright, time to make my move.'
I focused and used Kai Kai, teleporting directly to the source of that powerful energy. In an instant, I found myself standing a few meters away from Broly, who was in the middle of what seemed to be his own training routine. Surrounded by the bodies of defeated creatures, his aura pulsated with raw, untamed power.
'Whoa, even if I'm stronger right now, it feels like he could catch up to me easily,' I thought as I observed him. I approached cautiously, and Broly immediately noticed my presence. He turned, his eyes narrowing in confusion as he looked at me. Clearly, he wasn't used to seeing anyone besides his father, let alone someone younger. Despite the confusion, I could sense the caution in his posture.
"Who... are you?" he finally asked, his deep voice carrying an air of wariness. His body tensed, ready to react at a moment's notice.
I smiled, trying to ease the tension. "Hmm, shouldn't you give your name before asking about someone else's identity?" I replied casually, though I felt a little nervous inside.
Broly seemed to think it over for a moment before responding. "Broly," he said simply.
"Nice to meet you, Broly. You can call me Gohan," I said, keeping my tone light. "As for why I'm here, I sensed your incredible strength from far away and came to see if you'd be interested in becoming my training partner."
Broly stared at me, his eyes narrowing. "Aren't you... tiny?" he said, sounding unsure. "You will... get hurt. I am... very strong, and sometimes I... can't... control myself. I also need to tell my father."
I quickly interjected, "Don't worry about me. I can handle myself, and as for your father—I'd rather he not know about me being here. I can trade you some food in exchange for your silence."
Broly tilted his head, clearly unsure. "I... already have food," he replied, still looking curious.
I smiled knowingly. "Trust me, Broly. The food I have is way better than the stuff on this planet. Just give it a try, and I think you might change your mind."
Broly looked uncertain but seemed intrigued. "Better food?" he asked, his expression softening slightly.
"Yeah, real food, the kind you've never tasted before," I said. I pulled out a capsule that Bulma had prepared for me and clicked the button, tossing it to the ground. In an instant, a spread of fresh fruits, vegetables, and cooked meats appeared, the enticing aroma filling the air.
Broly's eyes widened, his nostrils flaring as he caught the scent. His stomach rumbled audibly, and he blinked, looking surprised by the reaction. "That... smells... good," he admitted, his voice softening.
I grinned. "Go ahead, have a taste," I said, gesturing towards the food.
Broly hesitated for a moment, then slowly reached out, picking up a piece of roasted meat. He took a bite, his eyes widening even more as the flavor exploded in his mouth. He quickly took another bite, then another, and before long, he was devouring the food like he had never eaten anything so delicious before.
I watched, smiling as Broly ate. 'Looks like I've got his attention. Now let's see if we can get to the real reason I'm here,' I thought to myself.
Broly looked at me, his cheeks puffed out and his mouth stuffed with food.He mumbled something garbled, "Mmph... do you... have more?"
I chuckled, shaking my head. "Broly, swallow first, then talk," I said.
Broly paused, chewing quickly before swallowing everything in his mouth. He then looked at me, his eyes curious. "Do you have more?" he asked, now clearly.
I grinned, lifting a finger. "Haha, yes, I have plenty more! But if you want it, you'll have to agree to my conditions!"
Broly looked at me, his eyes filled with curiosity and hunger. "Conditions?" he asked cautiously.
I nodded, smiling. "Yeah, pretty simple ones. I want you to train with me—just the two of us—without your father knowing I'm here. In return, I'll make sure you always have more of this amazing food."
Broly hesitated, glancing off into the distance, likely thinking about his father. It was clear that Paragus had a strong hold over him. Still, I could see the temptation in his eyes. The food was something he'd never experienced before, and it stirred something in him—a longing for more than the desolate life this planet had offered him.
"Train... with you?" he repeated thoughtfully. He looked at me, a hint of concern crossing his face. "Are you sure? You could get hurt."
I shook my head firmly. "Don't worry about me. I can handle myself, and if things get dangerous, I have a way to escape. How do you think I got here in the first place?" I said, giving him a confident smile.
Broly seemed to consider my words, his brow furrowing in thought. He then looked back at the food, then at me, and finally nodded. "Alright. I will train with you," he said, a touch of resolve in his voice.
I grinned, feeling excitement well up inside me. "Great! I promise you'll get as much of this good food as you want."
Broly's eyes softened, and he looked at the food once more, a faint smile tugging at his lips. Despite his immense power, I could see an innocence in him—an untouched curiosity about the world beyond what he had always known.
"Alright then, let's get started, Broly," I said, extending my hand to him. He looked at my hand for a moment, then slowly reached out and shook it. His grip was firm but careful, as if he feared accidentally hurting me.
This was the beginning of something great. Broly was going to be my training partner, and with his potential and my guidance, I knew we could become a formidable team. It was time to push our limits and see how far we could go.
I felt a surge of excitement. 'I really have changed from the person I was in the past. Actually looking forward to fights and getting stronger...'
