Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Meanwhile, Li Lanyin, Chu Ge's secretary, had hired a professional detective to monitor Ye Yao as per her boss's instructions.

Unaware of the surveillance, Ye Yao packed her belongings at her friend's house, planning to move in with her brother.

"Your stepmother is truly heartless. Now that your brother's back, you should be careful," her friend said, reluctantly bidding farewell.

"I'll message you when I arrive," Ye Yao replied, forcing a smile despite her concern for her brother's condition.

A short distance away, the private detective quietly followed Ye Yao.

As night fell, the detective made a call from his concealed position. "The target is at the address I sent you. Continued monitoring will incur additional fees."

"No problem. I'll pay an extra 20,000 yuan for 48 hours of surveillance. But I must warn you, the subject isn't an ordinary person," a cold female voice replied.

Pleased with the generous offer, the detective agreed, switching to a more respectful tone.

After hanging up, the detective, Ou Letian, considered the situation. "These clearly aren't ordinary people. I'll need to be cautious."

He decided to subcontract part of the surveillance, planning to change his own position.

Meanwhile, in a rented apartment, three men who had planned to avenge Ye Feng were called off by him. These were Ye Feng's former comrades-in-arms, who had struggled to adjust to civilian life without his support.

"Let's not be hasty. I was lucky to only dislocate my arms this time," Ye Feng said, wincing as he moved his newly relocated limbs.

Ye Yao, relieved by her brother's apparent recovery, ordered takeout for everyone.

"Boss, what's the deal with the guy who hurt you like this?" Yu Qing asked.

"We could take care of him for you," Du Hui added. "We may be out of practice, but we can still handle that much."

"Patience. Revenge is a dish best served cold," Ye Feng replied, calmer now than during his confrontation with Chu Ge. "I was careless this time, but next time, I'll finish him."

Turning to Wang Shi, who sat silently nearby, Ye Feng asked, "What did you find out about him?"

Wang Shi handed over a document, his expression troubled. "This is all the information on Chu Ge. I've verified it multiple times."

Ye Feng scanned the file:

Name: Chu Ge

Sex: Male

Age: 21

Background: No history of fighting, weak personality, lustful and greedy, homebody, orphaned.

Current position: Bodyguard to the Moyu Group chairman.

"Is this accurate?" Ye Feng asked, skeptical.

"I've confirmed it repeatedly, boss. It's absolutely true," Wang Shi assured him.

Ye Feng frowned, finding the information suspiciously simple and contradictory to his observations. The only trait that seemed to align was Chu Ge's apparent lust.

"Son of a bitch," Ye Feng muttered, his expression darkening as he imagined Chu Ge with Liu Yanru.

After the takeout arrived and everyone had eaten, they discussed how to deal with Chu Ge and reclaim Liu Yanru's shares.

Suddenly, Zhang Qi, their tech expert, announced, "Boss, Moyu Group's stock price is plummeting. Something's wrong."

Ye Feng quickly examined the stock chart on Zhang Qi's computer. Although Moyu Group wasn't officially his, he still considered it his father's legacy.

"Someone's manipulating it. Looks like Liu Yanru crossed the wrong person," Zhang Qi remarked, gloating.

Wang Shi chided him, "Don't look so pleased. The Moyu Group will be the boss's eventually. If something happens to it, how does that help us?"

As Ye Yao opened a window to clear the alcohol-laden air, Zhang Qi glanced outside and froze. "A camera?"

He quickly checked his surveillance software and confirmed, "We're being watched."

Zhang Qi calmly blocked the camera's view and turned to the group, his tone grave as he relayed the discovery.
