The soft, enchanted barrier had become a hit as a cushion and, especially, as a low-resistance mattress. The latter was particularly well-received, though it required replacing the magic battery—a Black Rainbow Core—regularly. Considering the cost of Black Rainbow Cores, this was an extravagance.
Maybe a matching comforter would be good too. Enchanted fabric could keep out air, but it didn't allow moisture to pass through, causing it to get a bit clammy. Luckily, a little magic circuit work fixed that, creating a breathable, temperature-insulated comforter that weighed nothing. It was strange at first, lying under something that felt like air.
Of course, selling something powered by Black Rainbow Cores was out of the question, especially with their potential weaponization. No need to flood the market with such things.
