Chapter 3: First Impressions and Hidden Agendas

Aria trailed behind Ethan and Liam, her mind racing with the contrasts between them. Ethan's warm smile and effortless charm versus Liam's brooding intensity.

As they navigated Oakwood's sprawling corridors, Aria's curiosity got the better of her. "So, what's the deal with the strict rules?" she asked Ethan.

Ethan leaned in, his voice low. "Headmaster Wynter's big on discipline. But there's more to it. Rumors say he's hiding something."

Liam's gaze snapped toward them, his eyes narrowing. "Rumors aren't facts, Blackwood."

Aria sensed tension between the two. "What do you mean?" she pressed.

Liam's expression softened slightly. "Let's just say Oakwood's not what it seems. Be careful who you trust."

Ethan chuckled. "Liam's just paranoid. Don't mind him."

Aria's instincts whispered otherwise. She filed away Liam's warning, determined to uncover Oakwood's secrets.

As they reached her dormitory, Ethan handed her a schedule. "Welcome to your new life, Aria. I'll show you around tomorrow."

Liam lingered, his eyes locked on hers. "Remember, Aria: conformity is key. Don't draw attention."

Aria's rebellious streak stirred. "I'll keep that in mind."

With a curt nod, Liam disappeared into the night, leaving Aria wondering:

What secrets lay hidden beneath Oakwood's polished surface?

And which path would she choose: conformity or rebellion?
