Chapter 41 - Chapter 41

Clark, dressed in a black security uniform, watched the ship land in the distance.

"Why did they come back?"

"Boss! They...!" someone started, but Chu Mo waved his hand.

"It seems they disregarded my words," Chu Mo said, his eyes flashing with murderous intent.

In the White House, President signed a document.

'Ring-ring-ring!'

The phone rang. President frowned.

There were three phones on his desk, and when the middle one rang, it signaled an alien invasion.

"We just sent a group away, and now they're coming back?"

"But with that man here, it shouldn't be a problem," President thought and picked up the phone.

After a short conversation, he quickly left the office.

In Times Square, General Zod looked tense.

He was afraid that man wouldn't give them a chance to explain, would kill them on sight and ruin all their plans.

The media, along with various cameras, filmed the spacecraft as it slowly came to a stop.

'Boom!'

Clark descended from the sky.

"Superman is here!"

A crowd of reporters swarmed toward him.

"Hello, Superman, why have they came back?"

"Superman, if we go to war, what are Earth's chances of winning?"

"Superman, you went up there and were knocked unconscious. Are you all right?"

"Superman, will Earth's strongest protector intervene?"

"Superman, what is your relationship with the Guardian Angel?"

Clark was annoyed by each question.

The Guardian they mentioned was, of course, Chu Mo.

However, the Planet building had been declared a restricted area, and anyone who stepped within 300 meters would be charged with treason by the highest presidential order.

Naturally, the media dared not disobey.

How could Superman know why Zod and his crew had returned? He glanced toward the Daily Planet, feeling confident.

'Whatever plan you have, as long as my uncle is here, it doesn't matter.'

More importantly, they had angered Chu Mo.

President arrived on the scene in his extended Rolls Royce.

Once the reporters were gone, he hurried over to Superman.

"Hello, Superman! Why isn't he here?" President asked, puzzled.

Clark looked at him. "Don't worry, he's watching."

President felt reassured; as long as this man was keeping an eye on things, General Zod and his spaceship would be no trouble.

"Here it comes."

The ship landed and the hatch began to open.

All eyes, including Chu Mo's, were on it. Chu Mo was confused; hadn't his last message been clear?

Why were they so eager to die?

The media even zoomed in on the hatch.

President felt a little nervous, and Clark clenched his fists, ready for action.

Suddenly!

A white towel came out of the hatch, waving back and forth.

Chu Mo: ?

President: ??

Clark: ???

Media: ??

"What does that mean?" Chu Mo looked confused.

President was even more confused.

The media was also stunned.

"These alien are surrendering!" someone in the crowd shouted.

All eyes turned to the young, enthusiastic man. Feeling the attention, he quickly explained.

"I'm a Sanda coach. When someone throws a white towel, it means surrender!"

"Aha, so that's it!" President said with a sigh of relief.

"I thought it was a nuclear weapon."

Chu Mo looked at the waving towel and almost laughed.

"Surrender?"

General Zod, still inside the ship, was stunned.

The original plan was to come here to learn and exchange ideas.

"This is not surrender, is it?"

The bald Kryptonian, who had been researching Earth, found the information waving a white towel. He looked at General Zod apologetically.

"Sorry, General! I misinterpreted!"

"Damn it!" Zod growled angrily. This was embarrassing enough; now they were a complete joke!

The bald Kryptonian felt guilty. The Earth information he had checked showed people waving little white flag to stop children's games.

When he saw a boxer throwing a white towel, he thought it was the same thing.

Zod was faced with a dilemma, he could feel a deadly energy closing in on him, ready to attack at any moment.

"Damn it, let's fight!"

"For the future of Krypton, this little humiliation is bearable!"

He immediately stepped out of the hatch.

"Greetings, everyone! I am here from..."

Two armed soldiers interrupted, pulling a black hood over his head and pointing guns at him.

President looked at him scornfully.

"Surrendered and still putting on a show!"

Under normal circumstances, Zod would have crushed president with a single punch, but now he dared not.

"Come out! Your leader has surrendered!" President shouted towards the hut, seizing the opportunity to make a show of strength that could help him get re-elected.

The other Kryptonians looked at each other and sighed in resignation as they left the ship.

Each was promptly hooded by the soldiers.

The soldiers then looked at President, waiting for instructions on where to take him.

President suddenly looked worried.

"Yes, these Kryptonians are strong enough to tear apart airplanes and cannons. Is there a prison on Earth that could hold them?"

Watching from his office, Chu Mo slowly shook his head.

"Unbelievable - Zod's team are idiots, and President isn't much smarter."

"Oh. Well. Let them be."

Chu Mo decided to let the matter rest; if Zod surrendered, he could deal with him anytime.

Next to the spaceship, President looked at Superman for support.

"Don't look at me! I don't have any ideas!" Clark said, rolling his eyes.

"I mean, what does Mr. Chu think we should do?"

President asked, smiling sheepishly.

"If you want to know, ask him yourself. I wouldn't dare," Clark said firmly, shaking his head.

President winced; he knew Chu Mo's temper too well to risk it. But he wasn't one to give up easily either, especially if it would benefit his presidency.

He motioned for the soldiers to remove their hoods.

Staring at president in disgust, General Zod and his group were visibly frustrated. Were it not for Chu Mo's presence, they would have eliminated him long ago.

"General Zod, do you truly surrender?" President asked slowly.

Zod, still trying to save face, hesitated.

"Ahem!" one of his subordinates subtly coughed to remind him.

Zod glanced in the direction of the The Daily Planet, a flicker of fear in his eyes, before turning back to Obama.

"I, Dru-Zod, surrender in the name of the Kryptonian race."
