Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

The boss of the steakhouse kept looking at the man sitting by the window, eating with relish.

"Hasn't he had enough? He's had twenty portions already!" The boss felt helpless. He was afraid that the man might die from overeating.

He wanted to step forward and stop him, but at that moment two men in black jackets entered. On their chests was a golden palm print.

"Mafia?" The boss took one look at them and decided not to cause any trouble. He stayed behind the counter, out of the way.

The two Mafia members approached Chu Mo from behind.

"Enjoying life, huh?" one of them laughed.

Chu Mo ignored them and continued to eat, completely uninterested in the two lowlifes. Mistaking his silence for fear, the Mafia members drew their guns and pointed them at his head.

"Time to go!" one of them sneered.

Chu Mo lifted his head slightly. "Are you talking to me?"

The black-clad man laughed. "This guy must be out of his mind."

"Are you leaving or not?" The man pressed the gun harder against Chu Mo's head.

Chu Mo casually picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth. "The steak was good. Very filling."

He turned to the boss and said, "Thank you, boss. If anything gets damaged, the mafia will cover it."

The eyes of the two gangsters filled with rage. "Your life is over. For what you just said, I could shoot you right here."

"Haha!" Chu Mo chuckled.

Suddenly, swish, Chu Mo disappeared from his seat. The two gangsters had no time to react. They only felt a hand grab the back of their necks.

Bang! A large hole appeared in the roof of the steakhouse as a gust of wind rushed through.

The two gangsters blinked their eyes open and realised they were staring at the blue sky. They couldn't help but look down.

"Mummy!" one of them cried, his legs shaking. The city below looked like a tiny ant colony.

"You ruined my steak breakfast," Chu Mo's voice came from behind them.

"Ah! Grandpa, ancestors, we're sorry! Let us go! Please!" The two men begged desperately, unable to control their pee.

Chu Mo held the two men in the air, 10,000 metres above the ground.

"Let you go? Haha, you must be joking!" Chu Mo said as he let go of one of them.

The gangster fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, in front of the Daily Planet, Clark stepped out. He was in high spirits, having been accepted as an intern for a two-month trial period.

A scream echoed from above. Clark looked up to see a man falling from the sky without a parachute. His expression darkened.

Normally Clark would intervene. But the gang symbol on the man's chest made him pause. If he revealed his powers now, having just landed a job, he might have to start all over again.

Bang! The gangster hit the ground right in front of Clark, splattering into a messy pulp. Blood splattered all over Clark.

Clark looked up again, his x-ray vision cutting through the atmosphere to reveal the scene at 10,000 metres.

Chu Mo felt Clark's gaze and looked down, smiling.

Their eyes met. Clark's expression became serious. "This man is dangerous," he thought. "But the gangsters he's dealing with - they're scum. No need for me to get involved."

Disappointed, Clark got into a cab and drove away.

"Gone?" Chu Mo felt bored. He had wanted to test his strength against Superman.

"No fun," Chu Mo muttered, glancing at the other gangster who was fainting with fear. Then he looked down the street.

There were three more gangsters in a Dodge car.

"Boss, the roof of the steakhouse is broken. Could it be..." one of them wondered.

The gang leader in the back seat looked at the chaos outside the Daily Planet building. Something wasn't right.

Just then -Bang! A figure landed heavily on the bonnet of their car, shattering the windows.

The gangsters screamed in terror as another loud bang echoed. The roof of the car was peeled off like a tin to reveal Chu Mo standing over them.

"Hey, there you are!" Chu Mo grinned.

The three gangsters were startled.

At the Daily Planet, Lois was deep in thought, looking at the resumes on her desk.

"Quick, a superpower sighting downstairs!" someone shouted.

"Lois, don't just stand there. Hurry!" Reporters rushed out, cameras in hand.

Lois was stunned. She walked over to the window and looked out. Her eyes widened in shock.

"That's him?" she gasped. "The man who came for the interview?"

Chu Mo raised his head and smiled at the Daily Planet building. Lois instinctively stepped back.

"He saw me!" she whispered, certain that the man was Chu Mo.

Lois wanted to watch more, but suddenly a shadow flew past the window. The car and the man in it disappeared, leaving only a pool of blood at the entrance.

Chu Mo, holding the car, soared into the sky. "The feeling of power is wonderful!" he thought.

The three gangsters in the car were scared to death, their heads bowed forward. Chu Mo had planned to blackmail them, but they'd died of fear.

"How boring!" he muttered, grabbing the back of the car and swinging it hard. The car shot through the atmosphere into the starry sky.

Chu Mo basked in his newfound power. "I barely used a thousandth of my power!" He used his power and flew towards the sun, faster than the speed of light.

Hovering in space, he approached the sun and basked in its intense heat. The energy in his body was replenished almost instantly.

"Interesting!" Chu Mo thought as he sped across the starry sky, having fun. He shot lasers from his eyes, turning nearby meteors into dust.

After hours of aimless flying, Chu Mo stopped. He turned back towards Earth and flew towards Gotham City, now covered by night.

Criminals roamed the streets, and various superheroes lurked in the shadows, catching them one by one.

At the entrance to the slums, Lois stood nervously, clutching a resume. She looked around anxiously. It was dangerous for a woman to be here at night, but the chance of an exclusive interview outweighed her fear.

"This man... he's a superpower!" she thought. "And incredibly strong. If I can interview him, it'll be a headline!"

Lois had tracked him down using the address on the resume. But something puzzled her.

"With all that power, why would Chu Mo want to work at the Daily Planet?" she wondered.

Just as she was lost in thought, several men dressed in black approached her.
