Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Daily Planet!

Loise hobbled into the office after a night of tossing and turning. It was extremely difficult for her to walk now. Although it was a bit painful, she felt unusually satisfied.

"The new employee's badge has been issued!"

The assistant put the ID card on the table.

Loise looked at the photo on it, the corners of her mouth turning up slightly. She had used all kinds of positions last night. In the end, she had even opened the back door.

Chu Mo had agreed to come to work at the Daily Planet.

"Man of Steel!"

"Too strong," Loise whispered, pursing her lips.

Her tongue still hurt a little.

---

Wayne Hotel, Presidential Suite!

A brand new set of casual clothes was placed next to the bed.

"Eating soft rice? Hehe!" 🍚

Chu Mo put on his clothes and looked at the time on his wrist.

"10, 9, 8, 7..."

The countdown reached zero.

*Boom!*

Chu Mo disappeared out of the presidential suite!

---

Sokovia, where the cold wind howled.

The bitter cold blew through the cracks of the ruins, producing a sharp whistling sound. Inside a dilapidated house, countless black spots gathered and gradually took shape. Chu Mo's figure condensed!

"Ding, the host has successfully entered the Marvel Universe! Location: Sokovia!

The system's voice echoed.

Chu Mo looked at his body. A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"My power is not suppressed at all, just like in the DC world!"

He looked at his wrist.

"Gotham City: 48 hours/59 minutes/48 seconds."

It looked like it would take two days to get back.

"Ding, the host is triggering the invasion mission!

"As a DC superhero, it is only natural for the host to travel to the Marvel world and invade it!].

[Host, please make all the Avengers cry within 48 hours!]

"Current Avengers: Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye and Natasha!].

[Mission reward: Permanent Immunity to Kryptonite Damage!].

Chu Mo touched the tip of his nose.

"I seem to have become a villain..."

"System, what happens if I fail to complete the mission?"

"Ding, if you fail, the system will permanently close your access to the Marvel Universe.

"Uh, okay..."

Chu Mo looked at the reward. His heart was burning with excitement. Superman's greatest weakness is Kryptonite! As long as this weakness is overcome, he would become perfect - stronger than the original Superman!

If he could fight Superman with a kryptonite spear... that scene was exciting just to think about!

"But the job is to make the Avengers cry..."

"Damn, this system is ruthless!"

"It's easy to defeat them with strength... but making them cry is a challenge."

"Let's see where the timeline is."

Chu Mo took a step forward and appeared in the sky above Sokovia. He looked down.

Below him were low, interconnected houses. On the ground, sparse figures lined up, the people of Sokovia, queuing for food.

The relief workers were armed soldiers.

"Hydra?" Chu Mo muttered.

The black buildings looked familiar, resembling the Hydra base from Avengers 2.

"I seem to have arrived at the Hydra base. The people handing out food are Hydra."

Chu Mo thought for a moment, remembering details from the Marvel movies.

Sokovia had seen many wars and had been left in ruins. In Avengers 2, the Hydra base had been built here, and this was where Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver had awoken. The Avengers would later destroy the base, sparking the Ultron War.

"It looks like Avengers 2 hasn't started yet," Chu Mo mused. "The Avengers are scattered all over the world with no special mission."

"They hardly ever get together."

"Now that I'm here, let's have a look."

Chu Mo descended to the entrance of the Hydra base.

The armed guards immediately raised their weapons on him.

Chu Mo grinned.

"Hey, a familiar face."

The man across from him looked nervous, gripping his machine gun with beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He stared at Chu Mo.

It was Brock Rumlow!

Nicknamed Crossbones, he would later become a major antagonist, fighting Captain America in an elevator. However, he had not yet assumed the Crossbones identity.

Rumlow looked extremely nervous. He had just been on a routine patrol when a figure suddenly fell from the sky. The sight nearly made him wet himself.

"Who are you?" Rumlow swallowed hard.

Hydra had files on almost every superpowered being on Earth, but the man in front of him wasn't one of them.

Chu Mo smiled wickedly and slowly stepped forward, leaning close to Rumlow's ear.

"Long live Hydra!"

"Huh?"

Rumlow's eyes widened in shock, then relaxed. He let out a sigh of relief.

"So you're one of us!"

Rumlow waved at the soldiers, and they lowered their weapons.

"Who are you?"

Chu Mo's smile widened.

"Alexander Pierce sent me here."

Rumlow stood up straighter.

Alexander Pierce was the current head of Hydra, the former director of SHIELD. All other Hydra members hiding in SHIELD had been exposed. Only Alexander was still safe.

If this man had been sent by Alexander, it had to be a critical mission.

"I need to see Strucker. It's important."

Chu Mo's tone was serious.

"Follow me."

Without hesitation, Rumlow led Chu Mo into the heavily guarded base. Armed soldiers with machine guns were stationed at every corner.

After some time, they arrived at the heart of the Hydra base.

Chu Mo looked around.

Rows of soldiers lined the walls, veterans who exuded an air of deadly intent. In the center, a group of scientists tinkered with instruments.

In two glass chambers, a man and a woman screamed in pain.

They were Wanda and Pietro.

Rumlow whispered to a man standing nearby who turned around.

He had a clear lens over his left eye and a machine in his right hand.

It was Wolfgang von Strucker aka Baron Strucker, Hydra's second-in-command.

Chu Mo couldn't help but stare, wondering how such an intimidating figure could later be easily kicked to death by Captain America.

"What are Alexander's orders?"

Strucker asked.

Chu Mo looked around the room.

"These are all core members of Hydra, don't worry," Strucker added.

"The Avengers have detected our base. They're on their way."

"What?"
