Chapter 5 - Amon's love

Amon was walking through the park with his father, Henry, enjoying the cool evening air. After a moment of quiet, his father turned to him with a gentle smile and asked, "So, Amon… is there anyone special in your life?"

Amon felt his cheeks flush. "Of course not, Dad! Why are you asking me that out of nowhere?"

Henry chuckled, patting him on the shoulder. "It's your time, son. You should enjoy life, make memories, and experience love if there's someone you care about. Don't be afraid to tell her how you feel."

Amon smiled, a bit reassured. "Thanks, Dad. I'll keep that in mind."

As they walked back home, Henry said, "Let's get home. I bet your mom has finished dinner by now."

When they arrived, Amon's mom, Mio, greeted them with a warm smile. "Welcome back, Amon, and my dear Henry."

Henry asked, "Is dinner ready?"

Mio nodded. "Yes, go wash up and come to the table."

They all sat down together, and as Amon took a bite, he couldn't help but say, "Mom, this is delicious!"

Mio beamed. "Thank you, sweetheart."

After they finished, Amon stood up. "Alright, Mom, Dad—I'm off to bed. Goodnight!"

"Goodnight, Amon," they replied, watching him head off to his room with warm smiles.

Dr. Srinivasan dialed his brother's number. "Where are you, Ram?"

"I'm searching his house, brother," Ram replied.

"Come to my hospital. I have something important to discuss with you," Dr. Srinivasan instructed.

"Why the hospital?" Ram asked, puzzled.

"Just hurry," Dr. Srinivasan urged.

After a short while, Ram arrived at the hospital, looking curious and slightly uneasy. Dr. Srinivasan wasted no time. "You remember how Jehovah defeated you using his powers, right?"

Ram nodded. "Yes, but I'm just a normal human, brother. I don't stand a chance against him."

Dr. Srinivasan gave a small, knowing smile. "I can give you superpowers, but it's the last of Rosy's blood that I have."

Ram's eyes widened in gratitude. "Thank you, brother."

"Hold on," Dr. Srinivasan said, taking a vial of Ram's blood. He mixed a tiny amount of it with Rosy's blood to check compatibility. The results showed only a 50% match, but Dr. Srinivasan proceeded to inject him with the blood mixture anyway.

"It will take two or three days for the powers to activate," Dr. Srinivasan explained. "Until then, you need to rest. I'll be here if you need anything."

"Alright, brother," Ram agreed, settling into a bed. Within moments, he drifted off to sleep, hopeful about the power he would soon wield.

The next morning, Amon woke up full of excitement and quickly started eating his breakfast. His mom, Mio, raised an eyebrow. "Why are you eating so fast? Isn't today a holiday?"

Amon smiled. "I just have some things to do. I'll see you in the evening, Mom, Dad!" With that, he finished his meal and rushed out the door.

As he dashed out, Mio watched him, puzzled. "Why is he in such a hurry today?"

Henry chuckled. "He probably has something important to take care of."

Amon soon reached Medusa's house and called out to her. "Medusa, let's go for a walk in the park!"

Medusa smiled, joining him. "Sure, Amon! Let's go."

As they walked, Medusa spotted a musical show nearby and tugged on his arm. "Amon, please, let's check out the music show!"

Amon agreed, and they joined the crowd, enjoying the beautiful melodies filling the air. Medusa was captivated, swaying gently to the music. Amon, watching her, couldn't help but smile.

Catching him looking, she asked, "Why are you smiling like that?"

Amon grinned. "The music… it's really heartwarming."

Medusa nodded, "Yes, it really is."

When the show ended, they continued their walk toward the park. Amon then suggested, "Hey, how about watching a movie?"

Medusa's eyes lit up. "Of course, Amon! Let's go."

At the ticket counter, Amon picked out a movie. "Two tickets for Everywhere is Ghost, please."

Medusa looked at him with wide eyes. "Wait… it's a horror movie?"

Amon chuckled. "Yep, horror movies are the best. Let's go!"

She smiled nervously. "Alright, let's go."

As the movie played and a ghost jumped out onscreen, Medusa instinctively covered her eyes. Amon noticed and laughed. "Why are you covering your eyes, Medusa?"

She blushed. "Who, me? I'm not covering my eyes!"

But when the ghost came even closer onscreen, Medusa suddenly hugged Amon in fear. Amon froze, speechless. When the interval came, Medusa released him and said, "Let's leave; the movie's not that great anyway. Plus, it's already afternoon."

Amon, still in shock, stammered, "Uh… yeah, it's kind of boring."

They left and decided to grab lunch at a nearby restaurant. The waiter came over, and Amon said, "We'll have two biryanis, please."

As they enjoyed their lunch, Amon gathered his courage and looked at Medusa. "Medusa… I think I love you."

Medusa smiled, her cheeks slightly red. "It took you long enough to say it, Amon."

Amon looked at her, surprised. "What…?"

She giggled. "I've been in love with you since I joined this school, Amon. I was just too shy to say it. I love you too."

Amon's heart swelled with happiness, and they shared a warm, tender smile, finally realizing they felt the same way.

Amon looked at Medusa, his eyes filled with warmth. "I'm the luckiest person in the world, Medusa. I want to be with you forever."

Medusa hugged him tightly, her voice soft. "I'll never leave you, Amon. Don't let me go, please."

Amon held her close, reassuringly. "I won't, Medusa. You're my life now. I'll stand by you, no matter what."

Suddenly, a deep voice interrupted them. "Finally, I found you, little girl."

They broke apart in surprise to see Jehovah standing nearby, his gaze fixed on Medusa. Medusa's heart raced as she pulled away from Amon.

Jehovah smirked. "Is that your boyfriend? Ah, but that's not my concern. I have one question: how did you heal my hands, little girl?"

Medusa took a steady breath and replied, "Let's talk about this in the nearest park, sir."

Jehovah gave a small nod, seemingly intrigued. Amon exchanged a worried glance with Medusa, sensing an ominous tension. He reached for her hand, silently vowing to stay by her side, ready for whatever might come next.
