Luciel walked down the stairs from Nosferatu's personal training grounds.
It was quite a walk, but nothing that he couldn't handle.
With nothing left to do, the young vampire decided to go and take a walk around the nest.
It seemed like he was going to stay here for some time so it would be good to get familiar with this place.
For now, he headed towards the main meeting area for the Serene Clan, the town square.
Following the hallway, he arrived on the third level of the square that was going in the circle with a big platform next to the wall, giving enough space to walk on.
Inside the walls, Luciel could see hollowed rooms that served as bars.
In fact, the whole third level had a strong smell of alcohol. Whenever he looked, all Luciel could see were places that served alcohol, nothing more.
There were countless places to drink something and all of them were almost full and those weren't even all the vampires in the nest, making Luciel wonder just how big was this nest and how are the vampires surviving.
There were too many vampires on the third level alone to survive just by feeding on the residents of the Paradise colony.
And there was one more thing that Luciel took notice of - there was no smell of human blood, making him wonder just how was Nosferatu feeding all those vampires.
Letting out a sigh, Luciel walked towards the fence made from brown stone, it also had some holes in it here and there.
Mixed in with the chatter of the vampires, he could also hear the cheerings from down below and could even see some of those bloodsuckers intensely gripping the railing.
Looking down, one could see a large arena on the ground level, right in the middle and there was a fight taking place!
Luciel had a serious expression on his face as he observed the two vampires battling it out, but at one point, a slight, evil-looking smile formed on his lips once he slowly started to enjoy the show.
Observing the fight, it was obvious who was going to win.
The vampire controlling the water was overwhelming the other guy who could create clones of himself.
The duplicates didn't fight at all and they were just stomping the ground, creating a loud noise.
"Will you just stop!" The vampire manipulating the water shouted, starting to send water blasts at the clones that would just reappear and continue to do the same actions from before.
So far, Luciel noticed that five is the limit and just as he thought that the fight was over when there was a large wave that started to form, something unexpected happened.
The stronger vampire was sent flying out of the arena, straight into the public and where he used to be was now a completely naked vampire, standing there and raising his hands into the air, making a victory pose.
What was even more strange was that the vampire didn't even care that his private parts were showing.
"Doppelganger had conquered the Bloodfield!" There was an announcement after a little bit of silence. Everyone needed a little bit of time to process what had happened just now.
"Interesting." Luciel tapped his chin, finding the way that the Doppelganger used to defeat a stronger opponent amusing.
He used the clones to distract the vampire's senses, giving him more than enough time to sneak behind his opponent to end this with one deciding kick.
This fight proved once again how, despite popular beliefs, vampires were full of weakness.
While their senses were extremely sharp, they could be used against them.
And that annoying invisibility? If they don't want to be seen, they need to take off everything they had on themselves. Not only that, but it was because of that annoying mechanism that the vampire's skin was extremely sensitive to the sun.
While waiting for another fight to start, Luciel took a moment to glance around the rest of the area.
The 2nd level contained only the merchants that would sell stuff that humans usually use, including clothing.
The 3rd level was the place with bars while the 4th level had multiple training areas that seemed to be busy at the moment.
And right on the 5th level was a huge playground, but there weren't a lot of children to be seen.
For Luciel, that was kind of a good thing, since it seemed like vampires, would reproduce way slower than humans.
"And now! Let's give a clap to the Knight!" There was a loud announcement as the new fight was about to start.
Clapping and cheering could be heard once a vampire with skin that looked like gray iron walked out.
"And on the other side, we have the Blood Widow!" Another announcement had been sent.
Hearing an announcement, a female vampire in her late 20s walked onto the stage, holding two blood whips in her hands.
Seeing the slender female figure with deep black hair going all the way towards her waist, Luciel felt excited.
The black leather outfit she wore made sure to point out her piercing, ruby-red eyes.
She stood up straight, full of confidence as she stared down at her opponent.
Observing her appearance and the way she carried herself, Luciel's heart skipped a beat.
'Man, if I wouldn't be married, I wouldn't mind her hitting me with that whip.' Luciel thought, starting to feel attracted towards her and it seemed like he wasn't the only one with the same thoughts.
Feeling guilty about thinking about other women while being married to Helen, Luciel decided to skip watching this match.
The lust he felt towards her was unimaginably strong like he never felt before.
At this point, he just wanted to do it, but in the end, he only clenched his fist and walked into one of the bars that the Serene Clan was offering.
"Do you have some whiskey?" Luciel sat down, putting an elbow on the counter and supporting his head.
"A glass or the whole bottle?"
"A bottle would be great."
Luciel sighed, tapping at the counter with his other hand.
He needed that drink to calm his thoughts.
At least vampires could consume more alcohol than humans.
He had a chance to experience and see that when Melisa and Kai destroyed Alex's living room after drinking an impressive amount.
Grabbing the bottle that the bartender put on the counter, Luciel took a few big sips before slamming it down, almost breaking the bottle.
'Maybe I should just give in.' Luciel thought. He knew that the mental effects of vampirism would catch up to him sooner or later if they didn't already.
Everything about what Nosferatu had warned him about was already present.
Different inner clock, seeing humans as they would look at a chicken, very pronounced primal instincts and emotions.
It felt painful to keep himself in check. Controlling his urges so he wouldn't do something that's unacceptable in human society, not to betray Helen, Alex and his morals slowly started to take a toll on him.
At this point, he just wanted to let go. To hunt and feed, to end this cycle of starvation and thirst.
He took another few sips and whipped his chin with the back of his hand and looked around, noticing that something weird was going on.
Vampires started to gather, whispering into each other ears so quietly that he could barely hear about who they were talking about.
Luciel closed his eyes, trying to focus, but he still couldn't understand what they were saying, there was only one thing that stood up.
"Who is Lady Seline?" Luciel asked the bartender, he was the only one who was interested in communicating with him. The other vampires would just send him glares and growls.
