Lady Seline, a vampire everyone was talking about before trying to rush out of the bar. No one wanted to hear the bad news. Sometimes, being oblivious was a blessing.
The vampire that was brave to enter while the rest were trying to escape clicked with her tongue, feeling displeased about how many insisted on avoiding her.
"Keep your head down." The bartender warned his customer, not daring to face the ominous vampire who showed up.
The female vampire with porcelain skin, chestnut brown hair going below her shoulders with big circle earrings, hanging from her ears, looked at one side of the bar and then at the other before her wine-red eyes fell on Luciel.
She seemed to be in her late 20s, but her eyes were saying otherwise - they looked very old.
The woman licked her plump, cherry-red lips and started making her way towards her victim.
Her long, silky red dress waved whenever she walked, revealing one of her smooth, long legs.
"Well… You are an interesting fellow." She gently placed her hand on Luciel's shoulder and slowly moved it along his neck before subtly heading under his shirt, placing her hand on his toned, smooth chest.
"Lady Seline, I presume." Luciel looked at the female with a corner of his eye, so far he didn't feel amused by her actions, but that was soon going to change.
"That's right." Seline removed her hand from Luciel's torso and touched his chin, moving his head towards her.
"You have such pretty eyes." Lady Seline commented, moving her hand on the side a little bit as she revealed her claws, making a small cut on Luciel's face.
She leaned closer and licked the wound before it healed.
Having enough of this, Luciel finally went to grab her by the wrist, squeezing it before violently moving it away.
He didn't care who she was, what were her motives nor about her full breasts that she was pushing into his arm.
"What do you want?" He growled, showing his fangs since the vampire's prophet overstayed her welcome.
"To taste your future, of course." Seline giggled, ignoring the rude behavior, continuing to talk to Luciel in a seductive manner.
She took hold of Luciel's hand and traced it along her body, starting from her soft chest and moving it down her side, following an elegant curve of her body till she finally reached her slender waist.
Releasing Luciel's hand from her grip, she traced her hand across his cheeks, leaning in closer.
Even if he already had the love of his life, the vampire that was getting seduced couldn't help himself but finally fall for the woman in front of him as a small blush appeared on his face.
No matter how she looked at her, she had a perfect body every man would desire. If only her personality wouldn't be so slutty.
When her lips got closer to his, he wanted to nip them but before he could do anything, Seline bit his neck.
The bite felt exciting and Luciel felt the urge to bite her back, but just at the moment he was about to do it, he snapped back to reality, fighting to keep his instincts under control.
The pleasure on his face turned into anger as he finally snapped back from the trance, pushing away Seline and throwing her on the floor.
"Not without consent." He hissed as his crimson eyes started to glow vibrant red in fury.
Lady Seline stared into Luciel's raging gaze.
While all of this was happening, the vampires had enough time to spread the news of what was currently happening and they started to form a crowd.
Everyone started to gasp at what they were seeing, but it wasn't Luciel's action that surprised them.
Lady Seline was crying… There was a stream of tears coming down from her eyes. It was the first time anyone had seen her like this.
She was well known to be of a stone heart. After witnessing many tragic events by seeing other's futures, her emotions went numb.
The only pleasure she had left was seeing miserable expressions on vampires' faces when she would tell them how they or their loved ones would die.
Besides that, she loved to play with vampires' lust, seducing men or women, it didn't matter, bonus points if they were in a relationship.
"You…" She started, raising her hand and pointing at Luciel. Her voice was steady, despite the tears she was ignoring.
"You will be betrayed by the one you love. As her heart beats true, the Puppet Master wields his strings."
Luciel stayed quiet after listening to the ominous words.
If it was something about his death or whatever, he wouldn't care, but this sounded like she was talking about Helen.
Does Seline's words mean that his love of life will betray him? But that doesn't sound right. In the first part of the second sentence, it was hinted that she would still love him.
'The Puppet Master, huh.' Luciel deduced that the one he needed to worry about was not Helen, but the person operating in the shadows.
At first, he thought about Nosferatu, but that doesn't sound right. If there was a Puppet Master, then Nosferatu would most likely be a puppet.
On the stage, the puppet master never reveals themselves. He tells the story with the help of the figurines he controls.
"What a shitty day." Luciel sighed, still glaring at Seline before going to rest his elbow on the counter, drinking everything that was left in the bottle in one go.
He decided to put Seline's words aside, there was no use in beating his head around the bush, especially now when feeling drunk.
"How much do I owe you?"
"It's on the house, but you can always stop by and help. I would use some help."
Luciel looked like he really needed a drink, especially after having a meeting with Lady Seline.
Vampires were a friendly bunch for the most part when it came to each other. They would stick together and treasure favors among everything else.
Money didn't have a lot of meaning to them, so their society mostly ran on trade.
"Thanks." Luciel got up and just when he was about to exit, he stopped once he heard Lady Seline talking to him.
"I apologize for my rude actions…"
Luciel glanced over his shoulder and saw the prophet back on her feet, bowing her head slightly.
Her body language suddenly changed, going from seduction to giving him all of her respect.
'What is that all about?' Luciel thought to himself before finally heading out.
He walked towards the hallway and started making his way towards the residential area, searching for his room.
It was somewhere at the back, isolated from the rest of the vampires. Nosferatu thought that it would be safer if he would separate Luciel from the rest of the bunch.
He yawned and went to lay down on the back on his stone bed.
Luciel crossed his legs and put his hands below his head.
"What a crazy bunch," He said to himself before turning to the side, finally going to close his eyes and get some rest for tomorrow.
While he's out, he should see about taking a pillow and bringing it down here.
