As Hyuk and Tsunami lost themselves in their connection, the atmosphere in the room shifted, thick with unspoken promises. But just as they began to delve deeper into their intimacy, a faint noise echoed through the inn.
Inari stirred in his sleep, the sounds of muffled voices and movements drawing him from his dreams. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he sat up and glanced around the dimly lit room, his brow furrowing in confusion. "What's that noise?" he mumbled to himself, a mix of curiosity and concern knitting his brow.
He got out of bed, quietly padding across the floor as he followed the faint sounds emanating from his mother's room. "Mom?" he called softly, peeking through the door just as he heard a sudden rustle inside.
Inside, Hyuk and Tsunami froze, their hearts racing as they heard Inari's voice. Hyuk's instincts kicked in, and he quickly pulled away from Tsunami, his expression a mix of alarm and concern. "We need to stop," he whispered urgently, trying to catch his breath.
Tsunami nodded, a look of panic flashing across her face. "He can't see us like this," she replied, her voice low as she hurried to adjust her clothing.
Inari opened the door slightly, peering into the room with wide eyes. "What's going on in there?" he asked, his voice laced with sleep but edged with curiosity.
Hyuk quickly moved to the side, trying to hide any evidence of what had just happened. "Uh, everything's fine!" he called out, trying to sound casual while his heart raced. "Just... uh, we were talking!"
Tsunami gave him a grateful look, but her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment. "Inari, it's late. You should go back to bed," she said, attempting to keep her voice steady.
Inari squinted, sensing the tension in the room. "But I heard noises. Are you sure everything's okay?"
Hyuk exchanged a glance with Tsunami, realizing they had to think quickly. "Yeah! We're just... practicing our jutsu!" he said, trying to sound convincing. "It got a bit loud."
"Jutsu?" Inari echoed, tilting his head. "What kind of jutsu?"
"Just some training! You know how it is!" Tsunami chimed in, her voice light and playful, hoping to divert her son's attention. "Why don't you go back to bed? I'll come check on you in a minute."
Inari looked between them, his curiosity still piqued but slowly realizing that perhaps he was better off leaving them alone. "Okay, but if I hear anything else, I'm coming back," he warned playfully, finally stepping back and closing the door.
Once the door clicked shut, Hyuk and Tsunami let out a breath they didn't realize they were holding. "That was close," Hyuk said, running a hand through his hair, a nervous laugh escaping his lips.
Tsunami chuckled, though her face was still flushed. "Maybe we should be a bit quieter next time," she replied, her voice teasing as she tried to shake off the embarrassment.
Hyuk smiled back, but the moment had shifted. They both understood the gravity of the interruption, yet there was an undeniable connection that lingered between them, one that neither of them was ready to dismiss.
