It's Day 25. I have come to realise that the core rift is something like a shadow rift. Whatever it might be the boss is extremely strong. Level 30.
*Aiden and Nolan hide behind some structure observing the people entering the rift. This rift doesn't close even if there are people inside*
Nolan- Big br-
Aiden- Shhh!! don't make a sound- hold my hand.
*Holding his hand, Aiden uses stealth. Therefore both of them get concealed. After observing for a while, they sneak in behind them, following their every step*
Aiden- To think they are working as a squad till the end, Humans are still humans.
*Looking at Nolan*
- Understand little guy?
Nolan- Ow-! Yes I do! But uhm my hand hurts-
Aiden- *Realising he held his hand a bit too hard, he lets go*
- Oh. My bad. Just stick close to me. And if you see something scary tell me first. And don't make sounds okay?
Nolan- Okay!
Aiden- *Slowly advancing through the Dungeon. There are some Shadow soldiers here and there. Aiden watches them kill those, one by one. Aiden and Nolan decide to a take a shortcut. Plan- Ambush or enter to get the last hit after they are injured. Suddenly they are ambushed by a shadow soldier. Quickly pulling the blade out Aiden, slashes through the soldier*
- Too easy. But that made sound, let's ge- Nolan?
Aiden- *Aiden couldn't find Nolan anywhere. He lost his way. Frantically searching for him in every place...*
- No no no no...Where is he?!
Meanwhile,
The squad- You heard that?
-Yeah I heard some sort of
human speaking.
-Someone barged in.
*They are suddenly jumped upon by a bunch of shadow soldiers. A fight ignites*
- Grhh! Take care of these first!
Meanwhile,
Aiden- Where did he go? Nolan...Nolan... no way. What do I do now? I guess I should check all the rooms while following them- Shit! I should've been more careful.
*Aiden starts rushing through the eerie halls scanning every corner of every room. Aiden crosses through the fight using stealth. He is nowhere to be found*
Meanwhile,
The goddess- The real fun is about to begin now...my golden boy.
*Watching Aiden running in panic*
- I trust you...I am sure you will do it.
The squad-
-Should we head for the source now?
-But what about Nik-?
-Do it before he comes. We can gang up on him later.
-True. Alright... let's go.
Aiden- Tsk...No way Nolan could have headed for the source...
*Aiden starts running towards the Source hall*
-(thinking) He will be fine... Yeah? Please be okay...
The squad- Where the hell is the source?
- What's that weird monolith doing?
- That must be the spawner maybe.
*Suddenly a kid runs through the squad, running to the monolith*
Nolan- Big brother!!! Big brother...I am here big brother, wake up!
*The kid starts crying miserably*
The squad- Who the hell is this kid?!
- No idea...but He seems to be close with the monolith in some way.
- It might be the source!
- That kid? If it is, then knock him out! He isn't any use to us anyways.
*One of the squad member aims his bow at the kid. Soon enough, releasing it, striking the kid*
Nolan- Big bro-!
*Nolan struck by the arrow, falls on the floor from the impact*
Aiden- Nolan!!
*Something comes rocketing down, smashing the ground, creating a smoke of dust all around*
The squad- Is that the massacre guy?
- Yea...
- Now even he had to come..
Aiden- *Holding the bleeding kid*
Nolan...Nolan! Get to your senses! I am here!
Your big brother!
Nolan- Oh... you are big brother...then this... I was...? They lied...!!
*Nolan starts crying in an exhausted voice*
Aiden- It's okay. Don't cry... I am here...Please...
*Aiden holds onto the kid for dear life, Hoping to stop his death*
The monolith speaks in an ethereal voice-
Oh humans! that truly is a magnificent sacrifice!
*A shadow arm snatches away Nolan from Aiden, absorbing him inside it*
Aiden- No-....
*Aiden stares at it... trying to process the situation. He is warm. His blood is boiling. looking at the squad members*
- He said sacrifice. You all sacrificed a child?
The squad - No we didn't!
(One of them)- What if we did!? What will you do?...
*Their glance gets stolen by someone huge behind Aiden*
- Uhh... That's...
(The monolith turns into a giant mech towering behind Aiden. Aiden looks over his shoulder above. A mixture of disappointment, disgust and pure rage fuels it)
The mech- *It kicks Aiden, and he is knocked back a huge distance, crashing against the wall. Seemingly his left arm blew off on the impact*
The squad- Oh god...what should we do?
- Get ready to fight.
*The group starts attacking the mech. Not quite being able to penetrate, and but the explosion type fire element bursts through the Armor of it*
The mech- Annihilation mode activate-
*The mech plants it's feet in one place. Then shoots homing explosives launched at them. One of the squad members, started running around the mech aiming for the glowing center of the mech. Shooting it, the mech loses flow. It's the weak spot! Everyone starts to attack the spot one by one...The mech starts smoking until it sets off in a violent explosion killing 2*
The squad- Holy shit...
-We did it...
-Yes!
-Wait...Hey look something blu-
*A wave of dark blue fog comes rushing at them, blinding and weakening them. Unable to move in the pain illusion, they scream*
The squad- My head...My head!!!
- Oh god that hurts! My head hurts!!
(A shadowy figure appears from the burning explosion area. It's eyes are blue. A humanoid looking but it has crystal like spikes behind it. And he is covered in shadow with a tinge of a blue glow sometimes peeking through...A true shadow emperor. It somehow resembles the face of Nolan, if he grew up)
*The fog starts clearing, that's when some rustling rocks can be heard in the direction Aiden crashed*
Aiden- Blood...They seek blood...
*Aiden is barely alive. Crushed among a pile of rocks, he slowly pushes himself to rise*
Aiden- To fill their wounds...
*Aiden finally gets a bit of balance on his legs*
Aiden- They would devour anyone's blood...
*Wiping his own blood off his face. His left arm dangles. Most of it missing from the shoulder*
Aiden- And I need some blood too now...
*Aiden says as an ominous aura charges around him. His ripped cloak floating, hair blowing in the wind he is creating. His wind pushes away the fog having no effect*
Aiden- And I need yours...you god forsaken source...
*Aiden looks at him smiling in a deathly stare... It's a smile of insanity, pure maniac intentions buried in it...He craves for blood...*
The Shadow-
*The source extracts his claws, and pounces at Aiden at immense speed, blowing through the wall, missing Aiden*
Aiden- Too slow...
The shadow-
*He strikes multiple times, dashing around, Aiden simply dodges, as he charges up his blade, chanting*
Aiden- When I order...the winds shall break...
The shadow-
*Extruding shadow tentacles, he pierces through Aiden. The charm of life activates. Aiden rejuvinates a huge amount of his normal self, increasing his mana concentration in process*
Aiden- I order the winds...Heed my call...
*Aiden extends his left leg backwards, as if he is getting ready for a sprint*
Aiden- Obliteration Flow!
*Aiden's eye light up. The shadow tries to pierce him again, but he leaps high up into His blade brimming with extremely concentrated wind, waiting to explode*
- Awaken, Tempest Blades!
Aiden- *He dashes and strikes, a total of 21 wind blades, this time he accumulates the energy on his gauntlet*
- Death from above!
Aiden- *Aiden launches at The shadow, the immense pressure throws him off balance. Aiden stays midair and drags him through the floor, smashing everything, then smashes him into the ground, knocking him in a big crater*
- I...
Aiden- *Aiden strikes at him once, knocking him further into the ground*

Aiden- *Aiden strikes again, even stronger*
- erase you...
Aiden- *Smashes him even further the ground with his elbow, and springs himself in the sky*
- from existence...!!!
Aiden- *Aiden accumulates all the energy he concentrated into his blade. He thrusts the shadow into the ground, exploding all of the energy. He gets caught in a explosion that blows away the rift barriers, creating a crater that erases everything, teleporting everyone to the overworld. That single strike blows the source to bits, leaving not a single atom of him left to live*
Aiden- *Aiden being exhausted breathes heavily. He had used blood in place for the extra mana he used... Suddenly...*
Aiden level +2.
Congratulations! You have hit level 30!
Aiden- *Completely healing his wounds he gets a new reward*

Aiden- *Growing his limbs back, he stops breathing heavily. Slowly looking behind his shoulder, he turns around...gazing at the The squad...*
