Aiden- It's alright. I kinda expected it anyway.
*Aiden watches the man go away, instructing the crowd to disperse as does*
Aiden- Can you help me out? If I could remember...
The girl- Surely!... Lemme show you around the village.
*In care of the girl, Aiden finds out about the local blacksmith*
Aiden- I feel like I should get a weapon...but...
The girl- You don't have money do you... it's okay I will treat you this time. Take something cheap though. My budget is... questionable...
Aiden- Then I'd want just a standard iron sword.
The girl- Really? Okay...
*Surprised at his choice the girl purchases it for him. Aiden tries swinging it a lil*
The girl- Woah... You're pretty good at it mister. Were you a swordsman?
Aiden- Maybe...I just had a whim.
*Sheathing his new sword behind his waist Aiden says*
Aiden- What's your name miss?
The girl- My name?... It's Bree, Bree Anne.
*She blushes out a little*
Aiden- Alright...
*Extending his hand out*
- Shall we continue then Miss Bree?
Bree- Mm hmm.
*Taking his hand she continues with Aiden to the tour. Aiden meets various people. They aren't as rejecting as he initially thought*
Aiden- *After spending a wonderful day with Bree, Aiden and Bree return back to her chamber. They sit outside talking...well Bree being the speaker and Aiden being the listener. Bree opens up a lot more as Aiden gains more information about this world*
- So...Bree, how did you heal me overnight?
Bree- Healing element.
Aiden- Woah, it's that strong?
Bree- Mine is particularly strong...so...
*She goes a little pale again*
Aiden- *Patting her head*
- Hey... it's okay.
Aiden- *Trying to change the topic*
- So How do I know, what element I have?
Bree- You don't remember that either...? Wow...you really must have forgotten everything...
*A sign of pity crosses her face. She moves closer to Aiden. Pulling out the book from her waist, she holds it close to Aiden and a yellow magical circle appears*
Bree- Your elemental power hasn't even been unlocked yet! No way you can be a demon...
Aiden- What's that book?
Bree- It's a talisman. Every elemental has it.
*Looking at Aiden directly*
Aiden- What do I need to do to unlock my power?
Bree- Cultivation...Read the contents of this book, it's not much. And just repeat it and repeat it. Chant it in your mind till it's ringing in your head, until you end up sleeping. When you wake up, you must be able to manipulate your element.
Aiden- *Taking the book in his hand*

Aiden- *Lifting his shirt Aiden says*

Bree- Huh? But it should take at least a week to heal fully...
*Inspecting his injuries, she is amazed*
Aiden (Thinking)- Must be my regeneration factor...well.
Aiden- *Breaking the silence, he says*
- Your element is so strong after all. No wonder I got healed.
Bree- Really? But...
Aiden- Anyway, it's really late now. I should go to bed while I try this.
*Aiden takes the book inside his room*
Aiden- Goodnight. Bye. Take care.
*He closes the door*
Bree- But...Ahhhh
*She tries to complain but Aiden is already gone by then*
Bree- Goodnight I guess...
Meanwhile,
Aiden- Oh the book is glowing on my touch...
*As he says the book starts levitating on his hand, opening up itself*
Aiden- Thankfully I can memorize well...This language is foreign, but somehow I can read it... It's a body of my other copy after all.
*After doing chantings for a while, Aiden is met with a sort of details section*
Aiden- Name...Aiden Capell? Element - Unknown? Rift? Awakening... Full? What does this all mean?
*As Aiden reads more and more...he is fed with fatigue...Until he fully blacks out on bed*
Aiden- I...feel...tired.
*Aiden enters into a lucid dream state. His consciousness fully intact. He finds himself in the same environment, as the preparation of the trial. Everything around him white. Nothing but himself to work with. The only difference is that the place feels more foggy and hard to see things at a distance*
Aiden- How am I back here again?...Well...
*Aiden starts walking at the direction he was initially facing*
Aiden (Thinking)- I have been walking for 5 minutes now... There's nothing in sight. Did it not work for me? She did say if I end up sleeping it should work, which means it's supposed to work. Then there must be cases where it doesn't work.
*While walking through the white fog, it reminds him of his training. The monotonous white won't hinder his journey. He was built for it*
Aiden- Well this might just be a dumb dream after all...Better get over-
*Suddenly a black fog rushes at Aiden, enshrouding everything around him in black*
Aiden- Argh! Finally some action...Huh?
*As the fog starts clearing up, a huge spiky throne appears, with a man sitting on it*
Aiden- Who are you? and...Is this supposed to happen?
The man- Not really.You could say, you're a little special.
*A book is summoned in front of Aiden, the same book he read to sleep*
The man- Is this the book you were reading?
Aiden- Ah...Yes it is.
The man- Honestly your memorization is impeccable. I read the whole thing, from your brain of course. Let's do a questionnaire.
*The man snatches the book back with his telekinetic power*
Aiden- But-
The man- I know and I won't elaborate either.
*He grins a little while opening the book and breezing through it. After some pages he stops and starts talking*
The man- I am sure you have it all memorized so, What's your element?
Aiden- Unknown/Rift.
The man- Correct, your name?
Aiden- Aiden, Aiden Capell.
The man- And awakening?
Aiden- Full.
*As soon as he finishes the book explodes*
The man- And this where it all goes down. I am the result of your full awakening.
Aiden- What do you mean?
The man- Rather it's a sign of your doom, as you've unlocked your power.
*Startling Aiden at first, the man stops him*
The man- Rest assured, since as I said, You're special. Having full awakening isn't special, it's common.
Aiden- So what is it?
The man- I'll start from scratch. Long story so ears open, listen up....
3000 years ago a great catastrophe occured. The outerbeings invaded Atrucia in hopes of conquering it. But As you can see, Atrucia is still alive and kicking. The invasion was so catastrophic, that the global population was reduced to a thousand. Only one warrior survived with great valour. Although he lost everything, the invasion was ultimately stopped. The elemental surge of the battles were so strong, that it couldn't dissolve into the Atrucian environment. It seeped into the survivors, making them lose their mind. Becoming mindless, they needed more hosts. As the victims started garnering more and more of the elemental radiations, they needed more hosts to distribute themselves. Slowly it spread throughout the other survivors, as the residue of the soul of the dead victims. As it got more and more distributed, it weakened, allowing some victims to still be healthy with the elements inside. As generations went on their legacies also carried on, resulting in today's elementals*
Aiden- Okay, wait wait so elements are basically genetic mutations of elemental radiation?
The man- Similar, but the difference is that the radiations are the suffering souls of once living beings.
Aiden- And what does this all have to do anything with my awakening?
The man- *He starts patrolling while explaining*
- When you use your so called "elements", you basically become the source of the radiation, allowing the elemental souls to slowly take control over your body, so that you can unleash powerful energies. After all overusing an unnatural radiation too much, has side effects. Upon using elements for too long or too much, the elemental souls might fully take over your body, making you a mindless monster too. This process is called corruption.
Aiden- That's terrifying...
The man- Exactly. The more awakening you have, the closer you are to getting corrupted. Full awakening pretty much means instant death, if you unlock your powers. So you were supposed to die but heck, do I look like some mindless guy?
*He shrugs in a casual manner*
Aiden- You look like an air head. I guess you could call that mindless.
The man- Ugh, that hurt but yeah. You don't possess an elemental soul. Instead You will inherit the power I had.
Aiden- But that doesn't, at all, explain who you are.
The man- *Sitting back on his throne, he crosses his arms with a smug smile on his face*
