Chapter 40 - Chapter 39

And as if that wasn't enough, Kakashi's opponent, a boy from the Uchiha clan, used the tactics he had learned about Kakashi from his elders to win the match narrowly. Considering that this kid is a final-year student this year, Kakashi's performance was impressive in every way.

Yuta was still sitting quietly with great anger as he looked at the boy who had defeated Kakashi to advance to the finals to be his opponent. Morino Ibiki understood him too well to even don't think of helping him extinguish his anger. In his opinion, what Yuta needed to do now was to release his anger in the next match, a boy became a man when he learned to use his anger to hone his fists.

When Ibiki learned that the finals would be a battle between Yuta and two seniors from the Uchiha clan, he took a deep breath and looked at Yuta. Punching the right person with a fist full of anger or getting punched would make you mature, but the future personality of the person who matured from getting punched would be unpredictable.

Ibiki didn't think Yuta could win. This was mainly because one of the boys involved in the battle had already awakened their Sharingan. Yuta's power was strong, but the Sharingan was a different matter.

After a moment of confusion about what to do, Ibiki finally turned to an old friend sitting in the audience for advice. This friend was once a lazy boy who shared his seat with him, now one of the elders of the Yamanaka clan.

As Ibiki approached his seat, he raised his hand in greeting. "Yo Santa-san. Do you have a minute?"

When the long-haired blond man named Santa Yamanaka saw the bald man who had been his nightmare at school calling out to him, he forced himself to smile and went over to him. Contrary to what Ibiki thought, this man did not see him as a friend, but as someone who enjoyed torturing people and someone to be careful around.

Santa was relieved to hear that he had asked him for help with his student's psychological condition and was happy that he hadn't asked him for anything strange. The two of them sat somewhere, sheltering from the light rain, talking about Yuta, while a few earth-type jonins were discussing how to build a structure that would prevent people from getting wet.

It would be fine to build such a structure when the people were not there, but if they did it when the people were there and they failed by mistake, the villagers would be crushed under tons of earth. The chances of such a catastrophe were low, but the important thing was that there was a possibility. In the end, the anbu in charge of the arenas decided to go to the Hokage and ask him what should be done.

When Hiruzen saw an anbu approaching him, he knew something was wrong and was happy.

Since the end of Yuta's war, Tsunade had been constantly nagging and insulting him about that girl.

Hiruzen told Tsunade to be quiet while he listened to the Anbu ninja. After the anbu had finished reporting, his first thought was to say that the villagers were not babies in need of care and to drop the matter, but out of the corner of his eye he saw Yuta's right hand, two fingers pressed together and raised to the level of his nose. Hiruzen was struck with a sense of déjà vu as a huge black sludge appeared in the sky and began to pour down, covering the entire stadium.

The barrier blocked the rain and no one got wet anymore. Suddenly appeared barrier ninjas were worried and tried to find out the source of the barrier, but to no avail.

The Hokage looked at the ninja scurrying around like anxious ants and raised his hand. "Calm down! This is not an enemy attack. You two split up to investigate the details of the barrier and the rest of you return to your positions."

The two anbu that were pointed to were two experienced ninjas, one from the Hyuga clan and the other from the Uchiha clan. They were two of the most respected ninja in the village when it came to research and detection. At the Hokage's order, they rushed to the edge of the barrier and began to conduct some experiments. Meanwhile, Hiruzen turned to Tsunade and told her that this barrier was set up by Yuta.

"HUH? Are you serious? That bastard Yuta develops such abilities and never tells me. I'll teach him a lesson when I get home."

As Hiruzen listened to Tsunade's words, he saw a small shadow of doubt deep in her eyes and changed the subject. Tsunade should not have doubted Yuta. Yuta could be her medicine, and most importantly, even if Yuta really was a spy, after spending so much time with Tsunade and learning from him, it was inevitable that he would have feelings for this village.

If a talented boy like Yuta had only been treated as a spy and had his hands tied, Hiruzen might never have gotten to where it is now. It would be a waste to tie the hands of such a talent, it is better to tie the heart.

Hiruzen briefly considered the possibility that Yuta might have been forced to spy here because his real family members were being held captive in another village, then quickly decided that this was a good thing. If this was indeed the case, he could simply tie Yuta to this village once and for all with an S-level mission.

While Hiruzen was already making detailed plans for Yuta's future, the ninja who had left to investigate finally returned with the information they had gathered.

"Hokage-sama, all the information we gathered is written on this scroll."

Hiruzen took the scroll in his hand, sent the Anbu back, and began to read the scroll.

>>> About the barrier;

The first thing that is striking about the barrier is that you can freely enter and exit the barrier. However, the person who steps outside the barrier and looks at the area where the barrier is located cannot see inside the barrier.

In this way, the barrier can be used as an excellent mass concealment device. If it is used to hide the camp during a war, it can provide a great advantage.

We can't see the people inside the barrier, and it doesn't let out air, odor, sound, or vibration. Moreover, most of the detection-type ninjutsu we used to use the inside of the barrier could not detect the chakra inside the barrier and the barrier.

Furthermore, the barrier cannot be detected with the eye techniques of the Hyuga and Uchiha clan. The discovered weaknesses of the barrier are that it is detected by sound-type detection ninjutsu and that rainwater flows over it.

Since the sound waves that enter the barrier cannot travel back out, the barrier fails against sound-type detection techniques.<<<

Hiruzen became more serious every second as he read the specifications of the barrier. Especially when he read that the barrier could not be discovered by eye techniques, he stopped breathing for a moment and turned his head to look at Yuta.

Yuta, on the other hand, was focused the whole time, staring at the wetness of the empty arena and waiting for the next battle to begin.

Ibiki, not liking the advice he had received from his friend, finally returned to his seat and decided to calm him down in his own way by patting Yuta on the back. Although anger is fuel for a ninja, he didn't want the two Uchiha to use the carelessness born of anger to beat his student. What he didn't realize was that his friend's advice had already sunk in.

Just as Ibiki was about to approach Yuta, feeling a strong killing intent, he took two steps back and looked intently under Yuta's feet.

Yuta's shadow was moving like a dark flame and luckily no one had even noticed it until now.

What was actually happening was that Yuta's anger was starting to activate his bloodline for the first time. Yuta's anger was slowly being absorbed by the darkness beneath his feet and flowing into his heart, adding to Yuta's strength.

Yuta slowly calmed down again as he waited for the competition to begin, oblivious to his increasing stats and his hair that had become much darker than usual. Of course, just because he wasn't shaking with rage didn't mean that he had stopped knocking out his opponents in a matter of seconds.

Yuta was already psychologically ready to use the Bala technique for the first time when he was called into the arena. How much the Bala technique would hurt the boy was the last thing on his mind. He had made a mistake and he could not afford to make another one. Hurting others because of his mistake was nothing more than a minor flaw.
