Chapter 42 - Chapter 41

When Yuta covered his hands with the cursed energy again, he noticed something strange. The cursed energy was not red as usual, but black. After a brief glance at his hand covered in a flame similar to the flames of Amaterasu, his instincts told him that even his chakra was now black.

"My body may be white, but on the inside, I'm all black," Yuta thought as he walked towards his opponent. He also realized that he was strangely cold-blooded and logical. He knew how the feeling of increased power in a short time affected hormones. He should be feeling a strange rush of excitement, happiness, and adrenaline right now, but he was calmer than ever.

As Yuta kept walking, he looked at his opponent who was still coughing up blood trying to stay on the ground but not giving up. This battle wasn't even a real battle for him anymore. Realizing that there was no need to pay attention to his opponent, he continued walking, taking advantage of the high state of focus he was in to think about his increasing stats.

He could feel the darkness in his body. He could feel the bad feelings of the people around him; many were horrified by his ruthlessness, and others were angry at him. When he sensed the side where the people who were furious at him were, he remembered that the Hyuga and Uchiha clan leaders were sitting there watching the match. Of course, he didn't look in that direction to confirm it.

Strangely, every bad feeling directed at him was absorbed by him without exception. Or rather, they were not absorbed by him, but rather absorbed by the darkness within him and injected into his body as statistics through a simple transformation.

The reiatsu among his stats directly increased along with his soul statistic, but his cursed energy remained at the same level. This was ironic, considering that as the cursed energy increased, it also buffed all the stats.

Yuta had more and more guesses about his own abilities, while his opponent was not at all comfortable.

Trying to get up, the Uchiha saw Yuta with his hands covered in black flames. From his point of view, there were some dark veins on Yuta's neck and wrists, and Yuta's dark hair was swaying independently from the wind, but all this was unnoticed by the Uchiha.

All he could see and focus on were Yuta's dark and emotionless pupils. He could not take his eyes off Yuta's eyes even for a second. Meanwhile, there was only one thought running through his mind; How the darkness could shine?

.....

When Yuta finally arrived in front of the Uchiha brat, his mind was full of techniques he could create using his own bloodline, but that didn't stop him from analyzing the current situation at a glance and making a logical decision.

All the villagers already knew that Hikari had played a trick on him in the previous battle, he had proved his strength to many people with the Bala he had used at the start of the battle, and the boy with the Sharingan lying at his feet proved that he was not weak in Taijutsu. What had happened so far was almost enough for him to become a Hokage student.

He only needed one more trait if he wanted to gain the support of the people to become a student of the Hokage. Before Yuta started acting, he saw the first boy he eliminated being carried to the hospital after being given first aid by the medical ninjas. He must still be alive to have been transported to the hospital.

Yuta looked at the Uchiha boy who continued to stare at him in shock, took a deep breath, and extinguished the flames in his hands as if he had given up. Then he bowed to his opponent and apologized to him for his friend. "The technique I used when the battle began was only a theory before. I apologize for hurting your friend. But I can't lose this battle, Tsunade sensei tried so hard to teach me and I can't give up. So if you can't fight anymore, please don't stand up anymore. I don't want to unnecessarily injure another Konoha's future."

After Yuta said these words to his opponent with eyes filled with deep sadness, he turned his back, stepped back a little, and took up his fighting stance again, wrapping his fists with his cursed energy. The cursed energy in his fists was showing signs of slightly returning to its original color. Apparently, the absorption process was over.

The moment Yuta turned his back, the Uchiha came to him and stood up. Meanwhile, the leader of the Uchiha clan was very angry to see the boy who had awakened Sharingan, so powerless, until he saw the boy's evolving eyes with bloody tears.

Yuta looked at his opponent and saw that the Uchiha's eyes had evolved from one tomoe to two tomoe. Apparently, he had unintentionally frightened the boy too much. Of course, it was also possible that it was because of the Sharingan that had evolved with the cursed energy of evil emotions, but Yuta quickly dismissed this possibility. He hadn't even hit him with his cursed energy. He probably had a more frightening aura than usual because of his race and this boy must have been affected by it.

When the Uchiha boy fell to the ground again with pain in his eyes, Yuta looked at the referee with question marks and the referee sighed and announced that the match was over and Yuta had won.

After Yuta's legendary comeback and his mercy at the end, the villagers cheered louder than ever before and began to leave, as talking about the battles. Meanwhile, Ibiki returned from the Hokage's side and first congratulated Yuta and then directed everyone to gather in front of the school. Apparently, the Hokage must have already decided who would be included in the special class.
