Chapter 3 - The Girl (3)

After seeing the system notification, Emily was curious about what it really meant. She wanted to know what was a Symbiote, so she muttered under her breath 'Status' and a golden holographic screen appeared before her eyes.

[Golden Moon Symbiosis System:]

Name: Emily Wolff

Symbiosis: Herself

Metamorphosis: Stage 7

Symbiote:

{Six Titles:}

1.) Hybrid

2.) Extract

3.) Feral Instinct

4.) Appraisal

5.) Mythic Summon

6.) Companion

{Stats:}

Raw Strength: 42, 000 Ib

Pure Speed: 2, 100 mph

Nerve Reaction: 535 microseconds (at this level of reaction it would make the host 5 times faster than the speed of the mantis shrimp's strike, which can punch at 2,700 µs—microseconds)

Lunar Storage: 1.24 cubic feet.]

Looking at her stats, Emily sighed in disappointment, she expected something better than this. Her raw strength, showed that being capable of destroying the red moon might as be a pipe dream.

"If I remember correctly, an elephant is able to lift 14, 000 pound of something heavy with its trunk, meaning at the moment, I'm only at least three times stronger than an elephants trunk. Truly disappointing.."

Emily sighed again, before focusing on the things she desperately needed to understand like what the hell was a Symbiosis?

It turns out a Symbiosis is a powerful soul bond with a werewolf that a person resonates with the most and through that forged bond, it grants extraordinary abilities called Symbiotes.

In Emily's case, it turns out that the werewolves she most resonates with is herself, talk about ego. By asking the system questions, an a.i replied and Emily learned that awakening six Symbiotes is unheard of. And the strongest human only managed to awaken three.

She also learned that a human in her level, in terms of metamorphosis stages, would have approximately the raw strength of about 7, 728 Ib, which surprised her because moments ago, she was complaining about how weak she was.

"No, at this point humans are doomed if that's all they can manage. The only way, they could have the tiniest bit of chance for ending the apocalypse would be if, they awakened extremely powerful Symbiotes, but still.."

Emily felt herself getting drained thinking about all this, she started to wonder why she bothered to even care? After all saving humanity wasn't in her to do list.

But then again, she didn't want to be the only human, well half-human left in this world, once the werewolves had thoroughly cleaned out humanity.

She got up, and not for the first time today she was impressed by how much taller she was. She was at least 5'10 from her previous 5'5, which was a huge leap.

But those weren't the only changes, her eyes were now permanently heterochromic, with one eye crimson and the other golden. No more was her natural blue eyes.

Her hair went from brunette to golden, and her features had improved, and now she could be considered beautiful instead of the plain she had been before the apocalypse.

But what she liked the most about her changes was the efficiency the metamorphosis put into her, like how her natural E-cup breasts were now reduced to B-Cup which meant no more back pain, and no more disgusting looks from people.

She almost cried in joy, when she learned she would never have to deal with big breasts ever again. That gift alone was more than enough to overshadow everything she received from the system, almost.

"Anyway, it's time for me to meet my first companion," Emily thought out loud.

She went to the living room, there she cleared out the room of its furniture to create space. When she was satisfied, using her canine teeth, she brought her wrist to her mouth and pierced both her radial and ulnar artery. Then she outstretched her hand facing the floor and let her blood flow out.

It took almost every concentration to impede her healing process, before she focused on the wrist of her other hand. And doing the same thing as the first hand, by piercing both it's arteries.

She let blood flow out from both her wrists, while she channelled her flux of Lunar energy. And activated her fifth Symbiote. The process created a magical circle on the open floor, that continued to increase in size, filling out the entire room.

A whirlwind of energy could be felt coming from the magical circle, as Emily's Lunar reserves continued to drain.

Emily's Lunar storage is at least five times better than that of a human, during the first stages of metamorphosis, but even for her, the summoning was taking too much. She started to understand why it was called a mythic summon, instead of just a summon.

The magical circle pulsed with crimson light before golden runic symbols spawned within the lines of the circle. And then there was a howl, and a werewolf materialised, standing on its hind legs, with a furry humanoid form.

It's mouth was set into a snarl, eyes glinting with a deep violet, crackling with electricity in them. It's fur was as dark as the night sky. It stood at least ten metres tall.

Emily could feel the werewolves disdain for every living thing, "It's definitely a pet of the crimson moon alright, but how did the golden moon manage to capture, such a beast?"

Emily used her appraisal Symbiote on it, and it's information appeared in front of her.

[Wolf Family: The Violet Eyed

Grade: Mythic

Name: –

Concept: Chaos Lightning

Status: Summon

Stats:}

Raw Strength: 135, 000 Ib

Pure Speed: 7, 100 mph

Nerve Reaction: 800 nanoseconds

Lunar Storage: 5.24 cubic feet.]

"This is just not fair, isn't the master supposed to be stronger or something?"

Emily looked at the defiant summon in the eyes, a gaze so intense, the wolf started whining, and lowering itself, bowing towards its master.

Emily reached to touch it, and was pleasantly surprised by how fluffy, the summons fur was. But it wasn't the reason she was touching it. With the last bit reserve of her Lunar energy, she activated her sixth Symbiote.

Her palm started to blaze with a star shaped imprint, which she placed exactly on the werewolves forehead. A searing pain flashed through her hand, as the star shaped imprint was branding the summon.

The summon whined, but didn't so much as dare to flinch back. It remained in the same position, while the branding was ongoing. When it finished, it's body started to break down, and slowly the summon went from furry werewolf form to human flesh.

When the process was done, Emily fell to her knees due to the lack of Lunar energy in her storage. She was completely drained, and it didn't feel good, because it appears controlling her body required that energy.

She tried to force herself to stand, but she instead started losing consciousness. The last bit of thought she had before everything went dark, was 'this is bullshit.' then everything went dark.
