Chapter Forty-Four: Abyssal Flame
The soldier stood a few metres away from Dusken, his figure towering as if to cast fear into the heart of the 15-year-old boy before him.
However, Dusken didn't feel fear; maybe it was because he was their child. He didn't know.
He scrutinized his enemy as his vision pierced through the darkness, gazing at the beads of sweat flowing down the soldier's face.
'Fear. How do I make them feel fear?' Dusken wondered. He found out that controlling fear was possible, but how? His opponents didn't know fear so what would he control?
He also didn't feel fear and there was no reason for the army to experience it either. They outnumbered him after all.
Dusken contemplated while sneakily observing the terrible state of the battle between his shadow beings and the soldiers.
The shadows were terribly beaten and battered under the onslaught of the enemies. Only Ebon was in a relatively good condition.
